I had an idea for a guild birthday event, but I wanted to see what everyone thought of it first. ^^
I was thinking it could work like this:
1. It would be similar to the give-away guild event we had previously, in which people would post once to get an item from the mule, Team Sprocket Zen. However, since everyone's birthdays are scattered across the year, Team Sprocket Zen would be giving one item to each person that posted in the thread (not created yet) for a period of time. (Maybe a week? Or less?)
2. To (hopefully!) make it so people are able to get stuff they'd like, each person in their post would describe what kind of items they like in their post. smile
This could be a guild event as a way to saying thank you to the members that still visit here and keep Team Sprocket alive! smile
Issues?
1. The guild mule has a limited amount of gold/item(s)! So the item(s) given out would probably not be too expensive. sweatdrop
2. Given issue #1, people probably wouldn't be able to request specific items.

this sounds like a pretty good idea, but i believe we should make donations. it would be by the people for the people. so like a donating limit of 20k max and a minimum of 7k? perhaps. i don't know, it was half-baked. the whole side is still raw cookie dough.

The mule already has some gold and items on it, and I would prefer that those be given out before it accepts any more donations. 3nodding We still also have some items left over from the previous even that could be given out? 3nodding I don't think many/most of the items on the mule are over 7k though... sweatdrop

So it'll give out items within the week of posting, or within the week of the person's birthday? ._. (Kinda confoozed)
But yeah, I agree with Thi.
Also, if the mule keeps gold in it's account through constant donations, it'll ensure that it doesn't run out when it comes around to the time to purchase the gifts. A fundraiser would probably be called for at some point in time.
