These mountains surround Elexair and exclude them from the other towns. They are really high and cold and hide Elexair really well. Anyone going to the Mountains better be prepared for cold and better be able to climb. It is not a easy place to be. The mountains are also a very cold place and is almost always snowing.

<----Lloyd Amaya----> Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lloyd had made it to the temple, but it was no easy task. Many forces were working against him: gravity, nature, and his own mind and body. Several times had he considered turning around and heading back. Whenever he did think about such things the thought of constantly being the weakest changed his mind and is what ultimately kept him aiming for the goal that he had set for himself. He slipped in the snow a couple of times and due to his attire the cold would definitely halt his life if he didn’t find shelter before nightfall. He had left in the morning, and it would take him all day to get to his destination but if everything worked the way he had planned it to, then he would continue to live. The cold wind sometimes blew him back a foot or two but nothing to drastic that would require him to become frustrated.
The biggest challenge of aiming that the Lilith had to overcome was a cliff. At the top of this cliff was the temple, and due to this, it was the final thing that stood in his way. As he grabbed for the jagged edges of the rock face, his hands began to grow colder and colder. Some parts were slippery, some were more rough than the others because of erosion from the wind and snow. Lloyd continued to edge forward though, his eyes constantly searching for places that he could plant his feet and hands. The slightest mistake in judgment and he could possibly fall to his death and that’s what nearly happened. His foot had slipped and thus his entire body weight shifted downwards. He had managed to regain his composure, but something felt different to him as he progressed upwards. He noticed that he was bleeding when he placed his hand on the snowy top of the cliff. He pulled himself upwards and just lay there for a brief moment. The climb wasn’t difficult, it was just the fact that one would have to be able to endure everything and not give up. If he did choose to give up, he most likely would have frozen to death in the mountains.
That was how he had made it to the temple, and as he walked through its corridors everything was exactly the way he left it. Even the corpses remained the same, he didn’t know the exact reason for why this occurred but he imagined that it had something to do with the cold atmosphere and possible salts from the rocky building. The torches had long since blown out, and not a sound could be heard except for his own footsteps as they echoed. Lloyd had to walked to the grand monks room and slashed it open with his prized sword. A clue, anything actually, that would guide him to where the text was located. The attack on Linkton could happen at anytime now, and if he was to miss out more then just Raigon’s precious massacre would be missed.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You better believe that you can see me now I'm on the top of the highest building, and you're still on the ground At any minute this could all collapse, and I could come back down But I'm living in the moment... I'll savor it for now

<----Lloyd Amaya----> Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lloyd was flipping over everything in the elders room, bookshelves, desks, wall scrolls with mantras on them, and more. Behind one of the tapestries, that he had torn of a wall, was a groove that had been purposefully carved. He reached in and was barely able to wrap his fingers around a parchment, that was placed there. He pulled his hand out carefully and slowly, not wanting to do damage this item. He unfolded it on the floor and stared in awe at what he saw, it was a map of the entire temple but one piece was torn out of it. Unfortunately for the monks, luckily for himself, he was still able to tell what room that was.
A smirk slid onto his face as he began to head to the shrine deep within the temple. It wasn’t on the mountains face, but inside a cavern. Lloyd had always considered this to be a strange place to put a shrine, but everybody told him it was to protect the sanctuary from the weather outside, which is what made him not think of this place differently. He had been here once before, when he pulled Nakigara out of the tabernacle, by the looks of it he was destined to be in this portion of the temple once again.
Lloyd entered the octagonal shaped chamber and stared around it, feelings of nostalgia returning to him. Sixteen torches hung off the wall, two on each surface. Four torches were placed around the actual shrine, somehow these were still lit. The way the room was set up was like this: the shrine was in the exact center of the room. Around it was a moat filled with the hot springs from the mountains, steam can still be seen coming from the water. The only way to get to the shrine, without going for a swim, would be to walk around to the back of the room and cross the bridge there. The moat took up the majority of the room, leaving barely any room for the shrine or the rim of floor that outlined the room. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You better believe that you can see me now I'm on the top of the highest building, and you're still on the ground At any minute this could all collapse, and I could come back down But I'm living in the moment... <----Lloyd Amaya----> Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lloyd walked around the room and towards the back, now realizing that only a single, averaged sized adult would be able to walk along the rim at a time. The bridge had become unstable since his last trip here, he imagined that this was due to the steam emanating from the water below. His hazel eyes stared, at the monument before him, from behind his bangs. There was definitely a secret, somewhere in this room, the hidden parchment had told him. The possibility of it being a fraud had crossed his mind, but something deep within told him that it wasn’t. ”Let’s burn the past, it’s getting in my way” he said as he concocted a plan. He walked around the shrine, tipping over the four torches that surrounded it. From the opposite side of the bridge he watched it burn.
As the wood burned away, the infrastructure weakened. A booming sound resonated off the eight surfaces of the room, something had fallen. In order to investigate he approach the center once again, and stared downwards. What he found, was what he was looking for. The center of the shrine had fallen through, revealing a path that lead deeper into the mountain. ’These monks sure did think things through’ he thought, only now realizing the brilliance of what they had done. They had placed the sword over top of what would be the real treasure, a decoy of sorts.
Lloyd stepped through, the still burning, shrine and descended into the opened path. The piece of the shrine that had fallen, was destroyed upon impact with the bottom of the steps. His black combat boots, allowed for him to barely feel any heat. The torches along this wall, had been long since blown out. He couldn’t see anything in the dark that had engulfed him. He ran his hand along the wall in order to avoid bumping into it, the last thing he needed was to bare the resemblance of an idiot.
Luckily for him, the shaft did not twist nor turn it just ran in a single straight path. It did tend to have a few sections where it seemed to take him deeper and deeper towards the heart of the Ellian Mountains, but this just meant that whatever was hidden here had to be well worth it. Upon reaching the end of the tunnel he found himself within another large chamber, this one bearing resemblance to a dome. It was well lit, but where the light was coming from he had no idea. There were no torches, nor any flame. The light was coming from the top of the room, it appeared to be made ice so he deduced that the light was coming from the sun. Four strange looking sculptures were outlining a path, and at the end of it was a pedestal. The pedestal had four pieces of ice protruding out from the ground, imprisoning whatever it was that was placed on the stand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You better believe that you can see me now I'm on the top of the highest building, and you're still on the ground At any minute this could all collapse, and I could come back down But I'm living in the moment... <----Lloyd Amaya----> Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lloyd was quite impatient at this time, and didn’t bother to search the room for a mechanism that could have released his treasure, he absent mindedly swung his sword at the closest glacial spike. It fell down to the ground and a portion of the text was revealed. He had accomplished what he set out to do. The only thing that was stopping him now where three more irritating pieces of ice. He hacked away at the next one, and it also fell to the ground. Two more to go.
The temperature in the room began to drop as each spike fell. His body was numb, and this was what caused him to be unaware of the situation at hand. Each piece of ice that was guarding his treasure, was also sealing the beasts within those sculptures. Since two had fallen, two had been released. These creatures were roughly seven feet tall, covered in a thick blue fur in order to protect them against the cold. They had claws that appeared to be made out of ice, but would not break as such. Their breath alone was enough to drop the temperature. Perhaps they could be identified as variations of the abominable snowman.
Just as Lloyd was about to begin knocking down the third one, a vicious arm hammered him away from the pedestal. It had destroyed the glacial spike for him, but also sent him flying away from what he had sought. ”b***h” he muttered as he stood up, the snowy ground had cushioned his fall. His eyes went towards the path that led to the pedestal and he pieced together the pieces, cursing the monks for being so devious.
Three against one. Seven feet to five feet and seven inches. Two hundred and seventy-three pounds in comparison to one hundred and thirty three. Every factor that matters during a fight were against him at the moment. The only way that he would win, is if he could get his hands on that text. He gripped onto his sword with both hands and made a mad-dash towards the pedestal.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You better believe that you can see me now I'm on the top of the highest building, and you're still on the ground At any minute this could all collapse, and I could come back down But I'm living in the moment... <----Lloyd Amaya----> Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The creatures had their eyes locked on him, as he began his sprint towards the pedestal. Using the momentum of the run in addition with both of his arms, he tossed his sword at the fourth pedestal. Imbedding it within the ice. A claw struck him and he went flying into the wall of the room. His body leaving an imprint in the stone. He fell down to the snow covered ground and lay there for a moment. That is until a shadow pressed over him. He rolled out of the way just in time to avoid being stomped on. ”You guys just don’t quit do you?” he asked them, despite knowing that they couldn’t answer.
Lloyd got on his feet and began running forward once again. One was behind him, one was to his right, and the final one was guarding the pedestal. These things had organized themselves. The one to his side had rushed past him. The one behind him was currently running after him and covering the distance that had separated them. At the last moment, he ducked down and delivered a kick to the beasts legs. It in response, fell forward knocking into the one guarding the pedestal. The original tactic was to see if these creatures would fight each other, but what happened was better than he could have expected. The one guarding it, angrily swiped its hand and it cut right through the fourth spike.
The last beast was now free, but as was his text. He got up, grabbed it and his sword and ran to the back wall of the room. Struggling to untie the string that kept the scroll wrapped. It wasn’t complicated, he just was panicking because the number of his enemies had just increased by one. The sting fell to the ground, and he unrolled the parchment.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You better believe that you can see me now I'm on the top of the highest building, and you're still on the ground At any minute this could all collapse, and I could come back down But I'm living in the moment... I'll savor it for now ((I’m hurrying things along, so that I don’t show up to late to the fight.))

<----Lloyd Amaya----> Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The scripture within the scroll was written in an archaic language, as his eyes scanned over the parchment, it was almost as if he was reading it in plain and simple English. Once done, the characters on the page began to glow with an indigo sort of purple. This only stayed for a brief moment, as the text burst into flames that bared a similar color. Lloyd held the flame within his hand, and once the paper had totally burned only it remained. Once again, doing what he has been doing this entire time, following an instinctual feeling, he clenched his hand into a fist and it was almost as if the flame was pushed into the pores in his skin.
Similar to the experience of being born, that’d be the only way to describe the way the young man was feeling now. He felt different now, much more different. The cold temperature in the room was no longer bothering him, the bruises that he had acquired from being tossed around weren’t hurting. As his hazel eyes set upon the guardian creatures, a smile formed on his face, for once in his life he felt like he was powerful. The reading had said that there were five texts in all, scattered across the provinces. He did some very rough estimating in his head, and came to the conclusion that this feeling wasn’t even half of what it could be.
Gripping Nakigara with one hand, he lifted the massive sword and rested it upon his shoulder. ”I must say, you would all be dead...but” he said, managing to think of an idea that would be more beneficial to the Lilith's as a whole. Nakigara was said to have been the sword that cut down the death god of olden days. Some say that it was somehow made out of that very gods body. It didn’t matter at the moment what it did in the past, in this very day and age it would wreak havoc amongst the citizens of Lagrima, and it is that which matters. Within each scroll wasn’t a different ability, but rather a fraction of a Gods powers.
Almost as if he was gliding upon the surface of the snow, Lloyd rushed forward towards the exit of the dome. These beasts had failed to do what they were supposed to, it was now up to them to stop him. ’Let them follow me to Linkton.’ It was impossible for him to tell whether or not the attack had begun or not, but he knew that if he was to late it’d be his head on the line when everybody returned to Elexair. He needed to get out of here and out there, as soon as possible, leaving no time to deal with these things at the moment. Plus he imagined that Delfian could use some more toys to play with.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You better believe that you can see me now I'm on the top of the highest building, and you're still on the ground At any minute this could all collapse, and I could come back down But I'm living in the moment... <----Lloyd Amaya----> Look through my eyes I have arrived, and now I'm on the rise Watch the tables, watch the tables as they turn This is a lesson I know you'll never learn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dome, narrow tunnel, shrine room, temple. What seemed to take him hours getting there flew by in minutes. The scenes just seemed to blur together. The beasts trailed behind him, following in an attempt to correct their mistake. He wished that he would be able to teleport to Linkton, rather than leaping down the face of the mountain and risking injury. Injuries that were simple in nature, bruises in particular, could be healed now. It was the more severe things: broken bones, deep cuts, severed limbs, damage done to organs, these were still a problem to Lloyd.
Due to these poor healing abilities, risks still existed for the reincarnation. Healing couldn’t be done to anybody but himself. He’d have to stand absolutely still for the majority of the day, but it only made sense that a death god shouldn’t be a healer. As he made it to the edge of the temple grounds, he stared out across the mountain scenery. He had to get down the face of the mountain. A series of growling sounds, coming from behind him and edging closer, brought him back down to Earth.
Lloyd sighed and a breath of hot air escaped from his mouth in the form of a puff of smoke. With a leap of faith, he jumped down. Hazel eyes had widened, as he tried to land at locations on the way down, thus reducing the damage he would have received if he just landed at the bottom of the Elian mountains. ’Hurry up body, hurry up!!! he edged himself forward. Combat boots, plus increased strength, stamina and speed made this mountain seem like nothing for his legs. Mind you the after pain of pushing his muscles this much past what they had been accustomed to, will probably be a killer to him.
He was now at the base of the mountain, and nearing practically within Linkton’s forest lands. The four creatures had yet to give up on him, they were tracking him from the aura that was emanating off his body. He wasn’t able to control it yet, and they were accustomed to keeping it sealed. Tracking it would be an easy task if he was able to diminish the amount that was being released. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You better believe that you can see me now I'm on the top of the highest building, and you're still on the ground At any minute this could all collapse, and I could come back down But I'm living in the moment... I'll savor it for now ((I don’t mean to make it seem like I’m God-Modding, by covering such a large distance within a single post. Due to the rate at which I actually manage to get a post onto the forums, its best that I do it this way. For all I or anybody else knows, I might not be able to get in another post until the end of the battle. This is just to summarize all the time that I may possibly lose. Sorry.))
