Linkton is surrounded by forests but is close to Flandor. The forest between Flandor and Linkton isn't that big so they are pretty close and information does get to them just as fast as the other towns.

Screaming, Crying, people dieing, Buildings being burnt to the ground. Faith couldn't take this! "No more! Stop all of this!" She screamed out, No one herd her, the Shekinah were fighting without her orders, They were dieing one by one till there was only her and Vaylin. The leader of Lilith and Vaylin stood face to face about to fight each other. Faith ran reaching out for Vaylin yelling. "No! Run away!" Her voice never reached him. The leader had killed him before Faith could get there. Faith fell to her knees in the snow, she had nothing, no one, this was the end, she couldn't fight. Faith cried as she looked up at the leader lilith who wouldn't even end her misery.

In the doctors office Faith was tossing and turning, she was sweating and soon she woke and sat up quickly. "Vaylin, come back!" Faith looked around in shock, tears were down her face and her body was extremely warm. Faith looked around and couldn't see Vayling. More tears started to fall as she put her face in her hands and started crying. "Bring him back to me! I want him back." She cried. She thought this really happened. She thought he really died in Kilawli. Faith coughed and started to hyperventilate That was her worst nightmare ever and she thought it was real.

The doctor looked at her shocked and looked around grabbing a nurse. "Get Vaylin in here now!" He told her and quickly went over to faith attempting to calm her. He rubbed her back and talked to her soothingly. "Breath faith, In and out slowly." He said as he tried to help her and breathed in slowly and let it out slowly to show her. Faith tried to copy the doctor but couldn't she shook her head and kicked the sheets off of herself. The doctor was having troubles and called in a few other nurses to help him while they waited for Vaylin.

The nurse that was sent to get Vaylin quickly went to his room and grabbed Vaylin's shoulder and gently shook him to try and wake him up. "Vaylin please wake up! " She said in a panicked tone and with a worried face. When he woke she would quickly take him to Faith and explain what was going on.

§ Vaylin «» Staven §

I thought that time stood still,
Sheltered, protected
They never told that this would end
or that the leaves would fall agian

-------------------------------------

The screaming... it was enough to drive even Vaylin insane. There was silence now though as Vaylin looked down the streets of Kilawli. Nothing remained but chard buildings and bodies of the slain. Vaylin started forward, but he stopped quickly as the image of the destroyed town altered to a diffrent scene all together. Vaylin's father stood watching him silently for a long time, and nothing seemed to be changing the longer Vaylin waited. Finally his father spoke. "Make your own path Vay." His father said before dissapering suddenly in a puff of fire. Vaylin reached out to his father as the fire exploded up before pulling his hand back and looking to the ground. 'I will father. I promise.' Vaylin thought as he couldn't speak aloud in the dream before looking up at his fathers murderer. Delfian the Bloodletter. Vaylin's hand clenched before the image changed agian, this time to Faith. She was wounded but being helped from the ground where he had fallen carrying her. With that, the dream went dark.

Vaylin awoke with a start as he was shook. Vaylin slowly turned his eyes to look at the nurse that had awoken him before letting out a soft sigh as he pushed himself up. Vaylin couldn't even comprehend what was said to him for a moment until he heard Faith's name mentioned. Vaylin turned quickly to the nurse and heard her relate what was happening with Faith before he jumped up from the bed, almost falling as his side let out a wave of pain at the sudden movement. Vaylin caught himself on the edge of the bed before looking up at the nurse as she asked if he wanted help. Vaylin dismissed her with his hand before he pushed himself away from the bed and to the door before starting down the hall to Faith's room.

Vaylin didn't pause at the door, instead he pushed open the door quickly before stepping in with his right arm holding his left side where he was wounded from Kilawli. Vaylin let out a sigh as he moved forward and pulled those around her away before sighing as he put his left hand gently on her head.
"Please calm down, Faith. You're worrying the poor doctor and nurses. I'm here now, so calm down." Vaylin spoke with a calm to his voice that might have been surprising if the situation didn't call for him to be calming Faith down before she hurt herself or someone around her. He still held his left side with his right hand though because it still throbbed with pain every once in a while.

Vaylin barely remembered coming to Linkton anymore. Alls that he remembered was landing just outside of Linkton before falling to the ground from lack of energy. He had been found out there and Faith had been taken from him, although the young blue haired man who had tried had had to draw his blade to save himself from Vaylin who had been unable to tell that the young man had been trying to help him. Vaylin still didn't know that the young man's name, but he had seen much of the young man in the past few days as he slowly had come back to reality. The nurse who had attended him had spoken of a young man named Cieven though who had brought him him, and Vaylin had so far assumed that the young blue haired man was the owner of that name.

A few nurses was holding her down so she wouldn't open her wound on her right side. Faith wasn't moving too much but she was still not breathing properly and crying. "I don't... want.. to be alone." She cried out, starting to tremble. The doctor was still trying to calm her but nothing was working. They all turned when the door opened. Faith still had her face in her hands crying and screaming. The doctor immediately got out of the way but the nurses were still trying to hold Faith until they were pulled away.

Faith felt Someone touch her head then she herd Vaylin's calm voice. She slowly lifted her head and saw her through her watery eyes. He was alive, she was dreaming, they made it out of Kiwlali. Faith grabbed his hand that was on her head and pulled him closer. Her crying stopped and the room was silent. Her breathing was slightly heavy and she was still slightly trembling. She reached up and placed her hand on Vaylins cheek, rubbing it with her thumb and looking at his eyes. "Your.... alive.." She said, sounding like she didn't believe it.

Faith winced and grabbed her right side as she started to bleed through the bandages. she moved her hand to reveal to the other she was bleeding again, she had opened her wound from he panic and melt down. She glanced at Vaylin and then the doctor she didn't know what to say anymore. Her mind was so blank and confused. The doctor got up and looked at Vaylin "You need to rest some more but I don't know what she will do if you leave." He told Vaylin as he started unwrapping her bandages

Ea Lancaster

~In the Home of a Young Man anxiously awaiting the sound of pattering feet and excited faces...

"EA!" "EA!" "EA!" "EA!"
The sounds of the young red-head's name brought a subtle smile to his face, despite himself, and he stopped for a moment from his work --soaking and washing his dishes within a stone basin filled with heated and soapy water-- to hear the childrens excited calls. Wiping his hands upon a drying rag that lay across the edge of the lip of the basin, and tossed the rag back and turned away from the sink to take long strides to the door. He stopped a foot short away from the door, and his face returned to it's stoney mask that he often wore within the presence of others. Reaching for the latch, he unlocked it and flipped it open, the door creaking open on it's own.
"Come on in."
He said gruffly, his features strangely resembling that of an old man despite his still young face. The children bursted through the door, clearly excited and happy to have been let in, and all four quickly latched on. 'Hallia, Jared, Rhiannon, and Aurek.' He thought, having memorized they're names long ago, along with many other children who made it they're business to come and fetch him each morning to bring him out to Linkton's Market Street where he had his own stall set up where he performed various fire tricks for travellers and children alike. It didn't make him much money, but it brought him close to the children which in turn brought him close with the parents, more often then not the mothers, who made it they own business to take turns sending they're children out with a basket of food that would count as his meal. It was an odd relationship he had with the townsfolk, but it made him glad nevertheless. What it didn't do was relieve the guilt he should have felt for what he took part in when he helped destroy Flandor. He was reminded of it everytime he saw the childrens faces, and reminded of more that he would not dare mention or think of if he could help it.
"Ea hurry!" Rhiannon pouted, her bottom lip sticking out farther then her top lip. Ea's eyebrow rose, and he reached up and lightly pinched the bottom lip between his index finger and his thumb.
"Ow!" She exclaimed, smackingh is hand away and rubbing her lip, covertly covering her mouth to hide the smile that Ea was too quick to notice. His hand went up and rubbed her head, then pointed to the table that was surrounded by five chairs. She took a seat, and soon afterwards two others followed suit. The last one was Aurek, who handed Ea a basket that bore the scent of freshly baked breads.
Taking the basket, he set it down on the wooden counter and could see out of the corner from his eye that Aurek was still standing by. The boy motioned for Ea to bend down, obviously wanting to whisper something. The corner Ea's mouth tugged, but he kept his mask up and bent down, even pulling his hair out of his ear so the boy could cup his hands over his ear.
"Mom used her best recipe baking that bread, but don't tell dad or he'll get jealous again." Ea could imagine Aurek's mother, a thin golden haired woman who smelled constantly of yeast and always had flour stuck to her sleeves and homespun gown like glue, laughing at her husband for getting jealous over a "child", as she often referred to Ea, over something as simple as bread. Looking at Aurek was like seeing a smaller, and boyish version of his mother, as the two shared similar flashing green eyes, a clearly sharp and mischievious mind, and a crooked grin that flashed white teeth. Almost unable to help himself, he resisted to to smile with all his willpower. Instead the young man whispered back to the boy, tossing the children at the table a look knowing they would be trying to listen. Hearing Ea's words the boy gave him the crooked grin and flew to the table, landing in his chair with surprising grace.
Bending back up, Ea removed the cleverly patterned and made cloth that bore various trees, wooden cabins, and children holding hands, the reveal three large and golden colored loaves of bread. Removing one of the loaves, he carried it gingerly in his hand and set it upon the table in front of the children. He could tell from the looks in they're eyes they had probably held off from eating breakfast this morning so they could share Ea's meal whatever it may be.

Twenty minutes later the five finished off two loaves of the bread, the third carefully having been wrapped in a cloth and set neatly within the "snack basket", for later. Taking up his cloak, he slipped his bokken within a "holster", he attached himself within the cloak to make carrying his defense more convenient. "Ea come on! The others are already waiting at the stall!" The children called in unison that may or may not have been practiced before hand, not that Ea would never know. Instead he smiled and took a quick glance around his small but strangely comfortable home. 'This life isn't real... I can't get comfortable with it...' He reminded himself, not forgetting what he was, what he did, and the things he would continue to do to bring himself farther and farther down until not even Hell had a place for him.

I thought that time stood still,
Sheltered, protected

-------------------------------------

Vaylin didn't move as Faith took ahold of his hand. He simply watched her with his indigo eyes waiting for her reaction to his appearance. It didn't take long for her to finally realize he was truly there. Vaylin gave a very faint smile as Faith brushed his cheek as if to make sure he was really still there. Vaylin gave her a faint nod of his head to tell her that yes, he was very much still alive. Silently Vaylin knelt down beside the bed so as to not be standing up as he watched her eyes. It was a rare sight for anyone who had ever seen Vaylin, showing concern and care for another person. Faith was the only person who had ever earned the care of Vaylin, and she was likely to be the only person before he died. That was just the way Vaylin was though.

"I won't die easy, Faith. It's not like I'm just going to give up on life someday. I have too many reasons to live." Vaylin said lightly before looking over at the doctor as he was told to rest. Vaylin shook his head lightly before looking back at Faith. Even though Vaylin's side was badly wounded, he was healing at a miraculous rate because of Faith. Where as a few days ago he had nearly been dead, he was healing quickly now. Faith's past intervention was actually still helping him recover now. "I'll be fine, Doctor. It's not like my side is so badly wounded that I cannot move. I have no reason for quick movements so don't worry about me reopening the wound." Vaylin explained to the doctor before looking back at Faith. In the back of his mind, Vaylin was still thinking about the young man who had saved them. He was in a memory of Vaylin's past, but for whatever reason Vaylin couldn't remember anything about the young man.

Finally Vaylin pushed the thought aside completely as he put all of his attention to Faith. He could worry about the mystery man later, after Faith was taken care of for the second time. On his priority list, Faith came first. Shortly behind that came killing Delfian, but that would come at a later time when Vaylin was given such an opportunity, not that Vaylin would ever want Faith around to see that. Vaylin knew he wouldn't be the same person she knew when he fought Delfian, it simply wouldn't be possible if he was to have any hope of surviving even an encounter with the man, let alone killing him.

Cieven Yaine

What it meant to me
Will eventually
Be a memory
Of a time when I tried so hard
And got so far...
------------------------------

Cieven, otherwise known as Cien, stood amoung the people in the square with an emotionless expression as he took the verbal assualts that came to him for helping the two 'angels' that had been outside the gates. While some people had been happy to invite them to the town, others were not so friendly and chose to attack Cien for his decision. Cien took it all silently for the time being though. He knew better than to respond to them while they were like this. It was a waste of his time. So long as he stood there, at least they would attack only him. If Cien left, it was likely that the mod of people would go after Vaylin and Faith. Even with Cien's patience, finally something set him off, a voice in the crowd speaking of Cien's past. Cien looked up before narrowing his eyes as he pulled free the sword at his side. Silence followed his action.

"Listen once, and listen well. I have made my position about this town quite clear. You are the ones who turn people away. You strike at people until finally they are forced to change becuase of your abuse. I am a rare sight to behold indeed becuase if Manami..." Even the bare mention of her name was enough to bring shocked looks to people faces. Very few people ever refered to Manami by name in Linkton anymore. Cien was on of the only people who even seemed to remember her name until it was spoken aloud. "... saw me now she would ask what is wrong with me. Why would I put up with all you say, why even care anymore? That is if she even has a voice anymore. I can't really say as you people pushed her away until she finally left! Well I've come to a decision finally. If you want Vaylin and Faith to leave, then step forward and try your blade agianst mine. If I lose, I will make them leave. If you people refuse to even take into consideration other people, I'll make my position clear with this blade."

Cien's eyes wandered the crowd in search of even one person who would even dare step forward to challenge him. He wasn't surprised when no one did. Even though Cien was a kind hearted, jovial person, this was an example of a time when he was not so kind. Cien slowly sheathed his blade as he looked around in disgust. Not even someone from the town guard would challenge him. That wasn't shocking though, it was Manami who had taught him to use the blade at his side and that also meant those of Linkton knew that the blade held no compassion for them. After several more moments of pause, Cien shook his head lightly as he started away. He had no reason to even pay them any mind anymore. They wouldn't attack him, and they certainly wouldn't dare try to force Vaylin and Faith to leave. There were those in town who had compassion for the two angels, and those people would back Cien's decision. Those who distrusted them were not many, but enough to try to force Cien's hand. Cien had no legal authority in Linkton, but he was a force to be worried about when gone against.

It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
to lose it all
but in the end
it doesn't even matter

The doctor finished pulling the bandages and put a towel where Faiths wound was, applying pressure to attempt to stop the bleeding. Faith winced as he did so and looked at Vaylin as he told her he wouldn't die easy. This made her smile, he was alive, they made it to linkton safely "Thank god." She whispered as another tear fell down her face. Faith kept holding Vaylins hand. She didn't want to let go if him. She felt very insecure and would only get uncomfortable and sad if he left. She wanted him to heal but she could heal him when ever she wanted.

The doctor noticed how tight Faith was holding onto Vaylin and nodded obviously Vaylin leaving wouldn't be the best thing right now. "Well, We will get you a chair then." He said as he gestured a nurse to go get Vaylin a chair so he could relax as he stayed here with faith. A nurse that was in the room quickly left and got a chair for Vaylin, letting him sit down. It didn't take long for the doctor to get Faith's wound to stop bleeding. He took the towel off and grabbed some gauze and put it on her wound with gloves, he then re bandaged it and went to clean up telling the nurses to leave and let Faith and Vaylin be alone.

Faith wouldn't lay down, she wanted to sit up and stay with vaylin. She didn't want to have the horrible nightmare again. All those visions of Kilawli being destroyed and that image of the Lilith Leader it all scared her mind when her eyes closed. She couldn't look at it anymore. Faith looked at Vaylins side and tried to reach for it. "I want to heal it.." She told him as she looked at him knowing he would disagree and not let her. Dhe knew she had some energy to heal it a bit more though and she wanted to get out of here as fast of possible especially if the Lilith caught them leaving and decided to follow them there

-------------------------------------

Vaylin watched as the doctor moved to aid Faith by stopping her bleeding again. Vaylin didn't even try to pull his hand from Faith's, in fact he was content with it in hers. He knew she wasn't going to let go of his hand willingly, and there was simply no way that she was going to let him leave again. That was fine by him though. Vaylin was happy to see her up and talking again after having seen her still passed out much as he had been for a few days. Vaylin didn't even turn his eyes from Faith as a chair was brought in and he sat on it. The emotionless angel clearly had emotions to the contrary of people's belief.

Vaylin didn't say a word as the doctor told the nurses to go after bandaging up Faith's side again. It wasn't until both doctor and nurses were gone that Faith spoke of healing his side agian while reaching for it. Vaylin moved out his other hand and caught her hand before it could even get close to it. Vaylin shook his head gently to tell her no.
"Not now Faith. I know that you are regaining energy, but keep it with you now. We do not need to hurry. We are not the main targets, the cities are. On another hand, the Lilith have reason to come here even if we aren't here. Don't worry about trouble finding these people because of us." Vaylin knew why Faith was so concerned with healing him now. She was in a hurry to go before the Lilith tracked them to Linkton. It wouldn't matter though, and Vaylin knew that. Linkton was the closest city to Flandor and Kilawli. It was clearly the next target.

Vaylin let out a sigh as he closed his eyes and looked down. At the moment he couldn't hope to help anyone though. He was too weak still and it was likely going to take at least some time before his side healed up enough naturally for him to be able to fight with the same skill he usually had. He couldn't risk Faith wasting her energy on him right now, she needed to heal much more than he did. If the Lilith did come to Linkton soon, Vaylin needed Faith to be ready and that required for her to be healed up as well.
"And don't worry about me. My side isn't so much of a hindrance that I can't do anything. I made it here didn't I?" With those words, a small grin could be seen on Vaylin's face.

Faith looked down sadly when he told her no. She wanted him to be better. She knew there was no way she could heal herself. It was much different then healing other people and she never learned how to do it. It was defiantly a skill she should look into getting though. He was probably right about that but if the lilith came to attack Linkton so soon they would be dead. There would be no way they could survive a second wave of attacks so quickly.

Faith slightly gripped Vaylin's hand when her side throbbed in pain. She felt so attached to him for some reason. And something deep down told her she was happy he was here rather then any other of the Shekinah. Faith just thought it was because him and faith had been friends for so long. Faith looked up at him as he spoke again and when she saw him grin she couldn't help but giggle. She smiled at him sweetly but it slowly faded. She started thinking about their next actions. "After we heal the Shekinah's should be finding their way here after they search Kilawli, That is if they use their common sense... We have to get back to them though and stop these Lilith's. If they are any human at all they will need time to rest just like us, So another attack shouldn't happen for another month or so, But they might be able to heal faster then us." Faith paused then something clicked into her head. "Wait a minute.." She said as she looked at Vaylin. "This is Linkton.. Many elves that can heal should live here, Thats the only reason I can heal! I have elven blood. W-why didn't the doctr let the elves heal us?! What is wrong with them?!" Faith's temperature started to rise due to her emotions, her heart rate sped up and she gripped Vaylin's hand tightly.

-------------------------------------

Vaylin noticed Faith's expression as he turned down her offer to heal his side, but he didn't care that she was unhappy with his decision. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Vaylin was practically her personal guard at this point, or maybe it was because they were so close friends, but Vaylin tended to disregard Faith's orders quite often. With anyone else it was likely they would have been reprimanded heavily, but Vaylin got away with it much more than he likely should have. This was granted that Vaylin's decisions were usually sound when he went against Faith's wishes, such as now.

Vaylin noticed her giggle at his grin, but then her expression quickly faded as she went into thought, thinking aloud. Vaylin listened to what she had to say, but he did not give her his opinion on anyone from the Shekinah finding them. The Shekinah likely would take a while to get done searching Kilawli, and after that it was likely that they wouldn't come to look for Faith and him in Linkton at least for a good while, that was even if they assumed that they were alive. With Kilawli gone, it was likely many shekinah would beleive he and Faith to have died. It was a sad truth.
"If they do find us, it won't be for a while at least. We might get lucky though and a few will think to visit Linkton, though I'm not sure if that is a good idea..."

Vaylin took this moment to glance over his shoulder before he heard Faith ask why there were no elves there to heal her. As he looked back forward, Vaylin frowned. He knew the reason to that, but should he really tell Faith? "I heard the doctor speaking about it with the young man who saved us. There a lot of people in this town who do not wish us to be here. Many of which are elves as well. I think the problem with that may be that the doctor cannot get any elves to come here with healing abilities. If thats true... then it would explain why no one has even attempted to heal you yet." Vaylin was being careful with his words now as he wasn't sure how to word it without causing anymore distress for Faith. Even though he had not wanted to tell her about the discussions that he had overheard from his bed, he had a nagging feeling that he and Faith were actually a center piece for discussion on what to do with them now. It wasn't likely they would be killed, and from what Vaylin had heard the young man who had helped them was defending their reasons for being in Linkton. They weren't likely to be bothered yet, at least not for a while. Not while both he and Faith were recovering.

Faith looked at Vaylin shocked how could they not want us here when they never did anything. And if they weren't what the Lilith was after then there was no reason they shouldn't be wanted there. Faith looked at Vaylin worried now then shook her head. "What did we do to deserve this?" She asked as she attempted to get out of bed. "There has to be at least one elf that will heal us." She said as she tried to stand. She was still holding onto Vaylins hand and she wasn't letting go anytime soon. Faith spread her wings and used them to help balance herself. She wanted to try and find a healer to her them. They didn't have time to just lay in bed and recover.

Desparate for changing...
starving for truth....
Im closer than were i started...
Chasing after you......

The Fox demon made his way through the thin woods. He couldnt believe that his family..his home..everything was just. Gone. Laken looked at all of the tree with flakey bark as the sun hit them gently with golden rays, he looked at them through his mask that was fastened tight to his head so his face could be hidden. He could smell and somewhat hear the town that settled on the other side ofthe woods; Linkton. He didnt know much about other towns than Flandor where he had been raised his whole life.....well now he cant not be raised there any further. Laken was very tired from weeks of searching Flandor, the loss of food had to force him to move on. However he was going to come back, there was no arguin about it, he wanted to find his family and bury them properly. Laken could care less wether he lived or not, however he planned to stay around long enough to kill the person who was responsible for Flandor's death. 'indeed they will pay' he thought darkly to himself as he finally found the edge of the forest and looked onto the tiny town of Linkton. Laken smiled slightly as he began to walk into the town, having no idea what would happen the very least bit. All he knew was that he had to get answers that canot be found in ashes or rubble.

He slowl began to walk into town, he could see th children kicking a ball around innocently as he was walking by. The children suddenly stoped playing as the ran away crying in fear at the ma with the mask. He knew h would have to move along so he didnt cause so much trouble, he wore that mask in his father's honor and so that no one would know his real face. That was for his prey to see as they drew thier last breath, that is the only good dream that haunts Laken at night. The mothers of the children embraced thier little ones and watched in horror at this being that was new to the town and began to think he was one of them. Laken sighed and knew it was a bad idea to come here, he was gonna be arresed for sure.....unless he made peace with the leader of this town.....he didnt now who that was but he will soon learn. He hoped not as he continued walking the streets, trying to find some bit of food and a place where he could rest for a short while.

Eamonn Lancaster

~Linkton Market Street

Holding his cloak as tightly as his free hand would permit him, he followed the children at a pace that made his legs ache, not from the fact that they were moving too fast but at the sheer slowness of it. Having to pace himself was strangely difficult with them, and the multiple flowing currents of people moving in various directions made it even more difficult, often losing sight of them in the crowds of people of the bustling market street. Of course he would always bump into one, or one into him, and he would be back on track following behind them again as before. As he followed them, the group of four children all chattering animously with one another, he found himself keeping his guard and and eyes peeled open, examining the faces of everyone he passed as subtly as he had been trained to do so. He was feeling unnerved, and he didn't know why. Was it because other Lilith members were stationed? Last news he had heard, Kilawli had also been struck by his group, though he did not take part in the attack, and he now knew it was only a matter of time before Linkton too would be attacked. Then what would he do? Turning his focus from his observations of the people he passed, he found himself staring at the happy and chattering faces of the children he followed, all of them quite unaware of the future that would befall them and just the sort of person they had attached themselves to. It's almost too ironic, he found himself thinking, that the ones they feel so close to and like is the one who would later be the one who took part of razing they're homes. For a moment his guard slipped and he felt himself grimace, however it was only for a second and his mask was up again and he returned to subtly examining the ones he passed.

Minutes later, after weaving in and out of crowds of people, they finally reached his stall. It wasn't really much of a stall, it was actually just a carpet laid upon the cobblestone road and with a three wall barrier that seperated it from the other stalls set up on either side of it. On one side was a vendor who sold various furs of beasts whose names he did not know nor had any interest in knowing, along with the furs he, the vendor, also sold various clothes and silks to those who could afford them. Not that they were legally obtained. To the right, was a farmer who grew his own crops and came in every few weeks to sell them. Naturally he was hardly ever there, but when he was the old man often greeted Ea with a friendly smile and always offered the young man some of his own crops if he grew extra. Ea accepted, of course, as free food in these times is a true gift, and even if one dislikes the foods given to deny the gift of food was a great insult that even Ea would not perform. Not that he would have cared, bearing the guilt of insulting an old man, he just had to keep something of a face up as the quiet polite one who was strangely good with children.

"Ea!"
'Ah, more children, how they never seem to end.' Ea thought, raising his free hand as high as to his chest in greeting before letting it drop back down to his side and concealed once more by his cloak. However, before he could settle down within his stall and prepare for his "work", a cold chill ran up his spine and he found himself looking around once more, staring intensely at the faces of each person he saw. Finally, his eyes rested on a single person. The person was a man, or Ea assumed based on his figure, who stood taller then Ea by an inch or so. He wore a mask, and it was at the sight of this mask that made Ea's eyes narrow ever so slightly and his hand grip the hilt of the bokken that rested at his hip. He had seen such a mask before, years ago during the razing of Flandor. He had let the masked one flee because he looked like a boy no older then himself, however seeing him now he could tell he was not the same person as he had been the years ago during the battle that took place in Flandor. Turning his head, Ea gestured to Aurek, the young blond boy whoms mother had baked the bread Ea now carried in the basket. Aurek ran up to Ea, looking up expectantly at Ea. Handing the basket to Aurek, he gestured to the masked man that walked through the crowds. "Give this to that man, tell him it is from one who bids him well." Ea said, his voice quiet but still heard despite the chattering of the people around them. Aurek nodded, and took the basket out of Ea's hand and was gone in an instant, weaving through the people to the masked man. Now, all Ea had to do was wait and see how this survivor reacted.

Desparate for changing...
starving for truth....
Im closer than were i started...
Chasing after you......

Laken was smelling all the different scents of the maket, furs, bread, meat and more filled his nose. Of course the food did not help his stomch nor did it help with all the people starring at him curiously. Some children even came up with a game to see who was brave enough to go close to him. He sighed slightly, the white eyes of the mask starred at him when he stopped once, the children looked at him excitedly trying to see what he would do, slowly he turned back into the direction he was walking.

On his way through the market he picked up a scent that smelled fimiliar, he knew he had smelled this one before....he can smell it every night in his nightmare that olayed that horrific event that had happened in Flandor. He stayed calm wondering if this creature knew he was here, his mask wasnt a one to forget most of the time. Suddenly a boy came up to him with a basket of bread "hello sir here is a bread basket. Its from a man who bids you well" the boy said nervously as he handedthe basket to laken than ran back to his mother's bakery. Laken looked at the basket curiously through his mask and could smell that fimiliar scent on the basket. His true light blue eyes widened, hidden by the mask, he wasnt sure what was going on but he was going to find that scent. He was going to find some anwsers. He began t walk into the direction the bread boy ran in, he followed the scent wich was becoming stronger and fresher as he kept walking. Soon he could smell the man a few feet from him and watched him carefully with the white, lifeless eyes of the mask. Laken remembered...... the red-haired male that saved him that one day, after he was done killing two of his partners he let Laken go, ever since then he had wondered why this man spared his life. Laken wanted to know who he was and who his leader was. Laken knew that he couldnt kill the leader on his own however when the weak revolt against these horrible people, he will take his chances then but now he must just seek answers about that one day.
