Happy New Year~! <33
Last night I went over to my best friend's house. We spent a few hours making food for the small group that was going to show up. I ate a lot of broccoli~! My best friend positively loathes the stuff, so I had to eat it.
I didn't get home until 4:30am, and I only slept for five hours because I wanted to be up to watch the Winter Classic.
If you don't know what the Winter Classic is, it's a new yearly tradition that started on New Years Day back in 2008. The NHL (national hockey league) picks two teams and they play on a special rink set up outside. This year the Winter Classic was here in Boston, and that rink was set up inside Fenway Park (the ball field for the Red Sox and one of the oldest baseball fields still standing).
So, the 2010 Winter Classic featured the Boston Bruins (whom you know I adore) and the Philadelphia Flyers (whom I hate almost as much as the Montreal Canadiens). The end result of the game today was a win for Boston~! <333 They won in overtime 2-1.
Then they announced the U.S.A. Olympic hockey team, of which Tim Thomas, a goalie for the Bruins, was named to the team~! This New Years has been downright awesome for me~!
