First of all, I'm not sure when the Wiccan new year is, but tonight is a blue moon! Actually it's at 2 hours and 14 mins evening according to my Lunabar. Moon rise is at 4:24 =^_^= But I think this is a really great way to start the new year. It seems magical.
P.S. I don't think I missed a phase, but if I did sorry sad

The blue moon doesn't actually mean anything. It's just two moons in a calendar month. As the calendar months are fairly arbitrary really, it means nothing.
Besides, a blue moon is more correctly four full moons in a season rather than three. The modern interpretation is something of a mistake. It's still kinda arbitrary but, y'know, less so.
On the other hand, it was a particularly beautiful full moon last night. Too bad everyone was too drunk off their face to pay it any attention.

I can't wait to see it tonight. I like the uniqueness of the blue moon. Two in one month is neat.

Sanguina Cruenta According to my calendar the "blue moon" here isn't until the end of Jan wink That's true. You guys are far enough ahead of us time zone-wise to have it fall on the 1st of January, a full day ahead of us here in North America. So your blue moon is later this month. wink

The moon was so absolutely awesome tonight. We were driving back from the store, and I almost wrecked the car. There was this huge ball of shining light right at eye level as I was driving, it was mesmerizing. I tried to take a pic when I got, but as I only have a camera phone - it didn't really work all that well (but I'll show ya anyways)... (and that's not an orb... it's just a glare spot xd )

It was raining for the last few nights so I couldn't see it... And I have yet to see orbs. My fiance has seen a ghost. He works on a runway most of the time and there is a grave site that has been disturbed and he said he actually saw the ghost. And he is a little skeptical about this stuff, but if he says he saw one I definitly believe him.
