I think he means before that phase, Ruby. rofl When I do go on a date, maybe some place like the park or the beach, and if I get lucky...I may be following Ruby's lead. xD

I vote for the theater with a decent comedy film. Romance flicks might be okay to the girl, but if you're both laughing and enjoying it, that's a good date in my opinion. However, you may want to avoid films along the lines of American Pie or South Parth: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut, unless you know that your date has taste for that particular sort of humor. At the same time, kiddie films are probably a sub-par choice as well, depending on tastes of course.
That's just my opinion.

Personally I'd think any place where you have plenty of things to do. Like the beach or arcade, bowling is fun too.

-Kayak at a lake or river.
-Beach on a hot summer day.
-Hiking in a national Park.
-Long walk to a local park at night.
-Movie Night at either's place.
-Theatre night.
-Eating at a restaurant.
-Going to some docks to eat Ice cream.
-Eating icecream anywhere.
-NOT a stripclub.
-NOT a McDonalds (unless it's to go, and at night...)
-At an amusement park that's in town.
-On a hockey game.
-At a skating rink.
-At the mall.
-At the local indoor/outdoor swimming pool.
-At a play.
-Going to the zoo.
-Doing some event that's taking place in town (parade, local marathon (seeing, not participating...etc.)
I could go on...

I like nature. I like places that are a little hard to get to, but breathtakingly beautiful, and give me a near-guarantee that just the two of will be. I like snow, I like mountains, I like streams. I like rocks. I had a dream where I was talking to someone I was in love with, and I was on this rock above a stream. It made me really happy.
I also like ballets, operas, musicals, movies, theater-ish things. I like music, too. I like laying in the snow. I like standing on rocks. I like letting my fingers run through the water and snow.
Hopefully that gives you an idea of where I'd like to go.

Take her out to dinner some place near a park area or something. After the meal, suggest a walk and take her through the park. If flowers are in bloom, pick her a nice flower and give it to her. If it's raining, a nice cozy huddle underneath an umbrella is good too...
