and then all the fame from the batman things just turned him into a jerk, or maybe it started in 310 to Yuma? idk.

And to Empire of the Sun, which starred a very young Christian Bale and to Newsies, which starred a singing and dancing Christian Bale!
He did turn into a bit of a jerk around the time Dark Knight came out. ;~;
