Seeing the question about wounds and scars made me think... Has anyone been physically wounded while doing a piece of artwork?

I think I am pretty meticulous about my personal safety when I am using anything sharp or potentially dangerous... I think working in shop last year with the bandsaw scared the crap out of me, haha. I have gotten very sore and cramped wrists every time I have a final animation due though wink

While doing art, no, actually... Well, I guess, not yet... I've been really conscious of my hands...

Well I was trying to be all artsy when I was like 16 ahaha and cut my name into a piece of wood [so shallow] while my dad was carving a mooncake mold.
Wasn't even trying to be safe. The wood chisel I was using slid and went straight into my palm [since one hand was holding the wood to stabilize it]. XD Now I have a lightning shaped scar there ahaha.
But otherwise no. No injuries.

I've stabbed myself countless times with x-acto knives, box cutters, even clay that's already been through the kiln at least once... I'm not very careful

I don't have a scar, but I bled pretty heavily after cutting my finger while carving linoleum for a printmaking project in art class a couple years ago. The instructor gave me a Hello Kitty band-aid. ^_^

;; ★I've had my share of hot glue gun accidents, and a "paper" cut on one of those metal rulers. I also once stapled my thumb while trying to fix a stapler.
So, yes. I've physically bled for art.
