Story: Styx was born and raised in the underwater city of New Rapture. She was turned into a Little Sister at the age of five and was taken out of the system age the age of seven. She lived in New Rapture as a former Little Sister until the age of sixteen. She allowed herself to become part of the new generation of Big Sisters.

As a Big Sister, Styx captured several little girls from the surface and took them down to New Rapture to be new Little Sisters. Later, she was charged with capturing head scientists from around the world to be brought down to New Rapture. Eventually, she was positioned as one of the guardians of New Rapture and to hunt down crazed splicers that made it into the Barrier or even in New Rapture.

She was twenty three when the Abyss arrived, declaring that Earth should submit to them and be assimilated. Their mechanical technology was far more advanced than Earth's in general but New Rapture was able to resist long enough to be considered as a major power by both the surface and the Abyss. A deal was made between Abyss and New Rapture, Abyss would assimilate the technology of New Rapture and allow the Rapturians to expand and thrive through the joint technologies.

Styx was among the Big Sisters that was sent with Abyss to capture suitable candidates for their System for ADAM production. Many test subjects were captured and experimented on either in Abyss's bases or back in New Rapture. Results piled on and new models of Big Daddies and Big Sisters were created to supply Abyss's forces. Numbers grew and the older generations began to think for themselves. Most of them stayed with Abyss for Rapture, the others that tried to fight against them were re-assimilated or killed in battle. Styx was among those who stayed with Abyss but mainly because Rapture was her home and the only home she knew. During her time with Abyss, she has been upgraded several times to assimilate new technologies from the Abyss. Eventually her old armor was completely discarded and she was fitted with new ones as more technologies was gathered. She kept her old armors as a reminder of home and how far away she really was from New Rapture.

In the Gurhal System, Styx was dispatched with her group of Big Daddies and Sisters to set up a base of operations for Abyss prior to the first attacks. Her ship was disguised as a small meteor and fell into the planet of Neudaiz. Once the Daddies drilled out the ship, they set up their base under the sea. Once the base was finished, Styx and her Sisters explored the planet and transmitted data back to the Abyss. When the Abyss gave the group the order to assimilate the inhabitants, Styx complied and kidnapped several Newman for assimilation, creating a new line of Big Daddies and Sisters. Some were sent back to new Rapture, others joined Abyss's forces in other systems and the remainder stayed under Styx's command.

Story: Emily was born in England in 1963. In 1968, she was taken by one of the first generation of Big Sisters. Emily became part of the second generation of Little Sisters soon after. The girl was paired with several protectors and lived in Rapture until a year later when she was rescued by Dr. Tenenbaum.

About ten years later, Emily was called back to the fallen city of Rapture. She reunited with her other "sisters" and planned to rebuild Rapture from the ground up. They donned the old suits of the first generation Big Sisters and explored Rapture for it's information and secrets.

Once all the audio diaries, notes and research had been collected, the Sisters agreed to bring back supplies needed for New Rapture. They returned to the surface and bid their time to rebuild.

Emily entered a university to major in biological engineering. She was at the top of her class due to studying the genetic research from Rapture. She was unable to be hired due to gender inequality in her field of work. Instead, she stayed at the university to work for the time being, saving up money for Rapture.

Eventually, Emily met a wealthy doctor and married him. She gave birth to their daughter to which she told the stories of Rapture. Her husband usually came home late and blamed the hours on last minute surgeries. For a time she accepted the excuse but then got suspicious.

Emily brought out her old Big Sister suit and started to modify it to her current abilities and new materials. Her daughter was the only other person in the household who knew of it. It was proof enough to the little girl that Rapture existed and was dangerous. Emily promised to give her daughter a home in the new Rapture after she dealt with the father.

She donned her new suit and set off to find out what her husband was really doing. Emily tracked him down and found out that he was cheating. Of course, she ended his life with a dash of the long unused plasmid of Incinerate. Emily was left with a vast amount of wealth from her late husband and used them as funds to rebuild Rapture.

With raw materials piling in from the pool of money of the Sisters, they began their work. Steel and glass were moved underwater by the old Big Daddies to build the city of New Rapture. To speed up the work, several Sisters, including Emily, became Big Sisters to kidnap men from around the world to turn them into new Big Daddies in old Rapture. At first, they used the ADAM that was stored in Fontaine Futuristics but even that was limited.

With ADAM stock running low, they resorted into kidnapping young girls (much like the first Generation of Big Sisters) to produce the much needed product. Within fifteen years of labor, they were able to build New Rapture from ground up.

Emily was able to keep her promise to her daughter and moved down to the underwater city. It was a safe haven for the Sisters, self sufficient and surpassed the original city. All it needed was people to populate and maintain it.

The Sisters began the second part of rebuilding. They started to plaster posters around the world with a promise of a new life. People flocked for the move to the city and stayed willingly or not, the Sisters made sure of that no outside influences controlled Rapture.

As Rapture grew, so did its technologies and culture. It became the secret super power under the sea. When Emily finally retired as a Big Sister, she became head of the genetic engineering arm and controlled the flow of ADAM within the city. With a stable flow of ADAM, uncontrolled splicing were not common. Less work for the next few generations of Big Sisters.

Emily was able to reverse most of the effects of splicing done to her as a Big Sister. She lived like a normal human for the most part and even came to rear a granddaughter, Rebbecca Sander.

During Rebbecca's teenage years, Emily argued about the the girl's choice of becoming a Big Sister. In the end, Rebbecca became the Big Sister known as Styx, which was an entirely new identity that Emily was unable to recognize at first.

When Abyss attacked Earth, most of the surface's super powers were fighting back. They assumed that the kidnappings of young girls were of Abyss's doing even long before Abyss had announced itself. Eventually, a Big Sister was caught and brought to public eye starting a race with the super powers and Abyss to find her origin.

Emily called the Sisters and the Big Daddies to the front lines of New Rapture, dreading the fight that was to come. For several days, New Rapture was able to defend itself from both the surface and Abyss long enough to impress them. Abyss extended an alliance to New Rapture which was accepted on the city's current situation of exhausted forces.

For a time, Emily had no thought of the treatment of alien species until she saw the changes made within the Rapturian system of Abyss. Technology was expanding too quickly and things were falling out of Rapture's control. Emily saw the possibility of Abyss completely re-purposing New Rapture from home to base.

Emily brought the concern to the other Sisters. After several days of debates, it was agreed that New Rapture needed to break away from Abyss, though, covertly.

She left for space to find the Rapturians that had stayed away from home for too long. As part of her security measures from Abyss and other hostile forces, she has been paired with an near-century old Bouncer. The very same one that protected her when she was a Little Sister. For the most part, the bouncer will not respond to Abyss's orders and ideal for protecting Rapture's secrets from the main threat for the time being.

Story:
As a child, Saiya spent his life on Rapture, but when the Abyss took it over, he had nowhere to turn. He was scared, but not without perfect reason to be. After being forced upon the Abyss ship, it was discovered that he knew more about the Big Daddies and Big Sisters. He was a mechanic assigned to fixing Big Daddies and Big Sisters when damaged, but after seeing the sight of the beauty of the Gurhal system, he quickly tried to find a chance to escape.

Once he had found a way to escape, he went up top claiming to be there for back-up support, but was honestly there to quickly make his escape much like the many others trapped on the ship. He was taught by Leo and Tonnio about the Beast transformation and many other things about the beast clan. Leo said he was certain that something was going to happen to either Kyusei or Kanta if something happened to someone close, Kanta wasn't beyond it. He claimed that there was a way to soothe the beast and asked him to learn so he could save the others.

With this new knowledge, he quickly escaped with his close friend that was a Big Daddy himself, one that still seemed to have a mind of his own. With instance, they decided that it was time to escape.

Sei was born and raised in the underwater city of New Ra

As a Big Daddy, he would continue to protect Rapture as they attempted to rebuild the beautiful structure where they lived. He was a normal mechanic along side his close friend, Saiya previous to his transformation.

At twenty three, much like Styx, Abyss arrived declaring that Earth should submit to them and be assimilated. Without much choice, Sei agreed that he would go with Abyss along with Saiya who wanted to go to learn new technology to teach the other mechanics when and if they returned home.

Once Sei became more advanced, he'd lost his own control for a spell before becoming much more controlled with his own self worth and became Saiya's guardian without much of an argument. Once they met a few of the beast GUARDIANs, he wanted to help them and made the request to Saiya whom understood his wish. Their work could possibly help the GUARDIANs bring down Abyss.

Sei had watched Styx for a speel as they grew together, but as she changed, he changed as well, in a manner of speaking to the agreement.
