It bugs me so much everytime CNN and the Fox news network put on another report about some place/someone getting sued because some one said "Merry Christmas!" If you wanna be a scrooge keep it to yourself, don't make a big deal about it and sue someone. My Grandpa's side of the family is Jewish and they say Merry Christmas lol And my friends dad goes nuts decorating the house and He's Jewish as well. Do you think that people should take the yule log out their butt and just stop whining about it?

Some kids in my school even threatened to sue because the CHRISTMAS CONCERT said "God bless us", and "praise the little lord Jesus Christ" in their song lyrics. How pathetic can you get?

FREEDOM OF ******** RELIGION! You can't sue someone for expressing their religious beliefs >=O
Okay, maybe you can, but if you do I hope the judge laughs your a** out of the court....
I don't sit well with religion, but you don't see me getting mad at people for enjoying the holiday that their faith gives them. Hell, my mom is insane about christmas(in a good way) and I just sit back and let her do her thing, I don't sue her for plaing christmas music just because I don't believe in here religion.
Welcome to America. The home of the idiots.

Saying Merry Christmas does not offend me.
Saying Merry X-mas does because it's ignoring the one important aspect of the whole holiday.

Nope, it doesn't offend me. I think sueing is waaaay over the top. I like wishing someone a merry christmas, it's kinda pure, in a way. There's way too much commercialism involving christmas these days. It's got very little to do with the original holiday anymore. Things like that make me sad... and the house down the street with 7 feet inflatable santa's and so many christmas lights you could see it from the moon, that really makes me sad. Curses to them and their horrible eye-sore that doesn't make sense in england or america, let alone Australia. stare

I think some people just want to be offended, and they'll find offense in anything they can. Whatever, they'll just live really unhappy lives. biggrin

Merry Christmas shouldn't offend anyone. It's just like... Have a really good day on December 25, whether or not you celebrate it. It's called Christmas because it was named for Christ. He was human. Why would you be offended because someone has a day named after himself? I tell all of my friends (none of which seem to be Jewish, and few which have African origins) to have a happy Hannukah or Kwanzaa. If they don't celebrate it, just say, "Too bad, have a good day at that time anyway!" "Happy Holidays" is also getting to be an offensive saying because holiday means "holy day". Shut up, who cares? It's like being offended because some boy in my school has the first name Christian. Why hasn't anyone sued his mother yet? This reminds me... Atheism is almost its own religion. Almost. You really need a leader for a religion, but another version of religion is just the practice of beliefs. By not believing in religious stuff, you are religious, in a way.
The thing that reeeeeally bothers me is people getting mad at public displays of manger scenes and the Ten Commandments. They both were real. A little kid was born in a stable. I am soooo offended. I don't like having plastic babies on someone's lawn. And cows near a barn are definitely not allowed. Grrrr... And the Commandments... They're laws that make a heckuva lotta sense to me. Don't kill people, don't steal stuff... Okay, there's something about God there. I'm Christian, and if there's some random tablet of laws that make sense, but say something about following Buddha, ignore the Buddha part and interpret everything else however you want. *gasp*. Okay, I'm tired, annoying, and done.

Atheism is a religion.... religion = 4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion (dictionary.com) religion is a set of belifes and a life style, not all relions have leaders (such as pagans or wiccans) unless you count the founding fathers, but they arnt worshiped and many wiccans dont even know the differences between gardner and crowley wicca

There is no proof that god is real or that the bible stuff happened, in fact many scholars believe it was just a book of moral guiding stories, and the fact that their is no proof is one of the main reasons many people believe, people get up in arms over religion if you dont believe what they believe, people should believe what they want and celebrate it how ever they want to, and leave other in peace to do it how ever they feel
