HAullooah!

Also, if you have changed your user name recently you'd better mention that too xd

yeah, tell me who you were when I knew you for polls sake!
If we don't know each other, introdce yourself so I am not sitting here wondering "do I know this person? I think they are familiar, but I am not sure...?" ya know, I am old, I need the reminding...lol

I have...well, nothing exciting and a lot at the same time...
nothing as monumental as getting married...which is good, since that would make me a poligamist since I am already married, and I didn't have any babies, which is great, since a fouth kid would likely push me over the edge...(KIDDING! My kids are awesome, which is easier for me to say when they are all at school... rofl )

I started selling Pampered Chef stuff, which I love doing in addition to my home day care job (wanna have a catalog show for me?! ninja )
and I just got done with being in a Christmas play llast weekend, so the practices were taking up all my time...sure, not for the last year(s) but still, it's what is most recent in my mind.

If I think of anything else, I'll mention it later...
tell me about YOUS (yes, yous!)

Okay, I can't remember how long ago it was you were last on! So I don't know how far to go back.

I moved from the west coast of Canada (British Columbia) to the east coast (Nova Scotia) Great views, cheaper cost of living, and I fricking hate it here. I am going to move back next year to attend school. I'm thinking geology, if my brain thoughts can handle the maths. eek

I went to Europe this summer and spend all my monies! rofl

I went to Hungary, for a wedding, which was the best wedding EVER! My friend's cousin married a police man, and we had a police escort across Budapest from St. Stephen's Basilica to the reception on the hill on the other side of the Danube. And Jacint (the groom) looked and danced like Mr Bean, it was wonderful. No one spoke any English, and they all went out of their way to get us drunk on home made Palinka, and they totally succeeded. Stephanie eventually threw up on my hands xd

Then we went to Croatia and stayed at Steph's cousin's place on the island of Vis, and swam in the Adriatic! I also visited Split, and saw Roman ruins. I went to see the Blue Cave (it was so breathtaking), I sunbathed, and napped, and had a wonderful time. Stephanie caught her hair on fire at a big family dinner. xd

And I went to Austria (Vienna & Salzburg) It was fantastic! Listened to great music, and went to beautiful museums and went shopping. I went to the amazing cemetery in Vienna and saw the graves of the greats and those of family. And we has so much good food (in all the countries, and family over fed us!). Stephanie had an allergic reaction from eating too many pastries (she is very allergic to wheat)

Can't wait to go back! xd

And I spend a ton of time back in Vancouver this summer too. Hung out with friends, went camping, saw my dad, brother and sister-in-law, and I took in a few concerts while there. Now I am back in dreary old Nuva Scucha crying

Pretty much all....

lulz, So far my life after highschool has like one or two big things a year that signify big change. xd

Right now I'm in my fifth year of Crim degree, which got a little delayed due to not having all the courses (thanks NWCC for skimping on providing the most necessary course to the degree that's 2nd yearrr, aaaaaaargh!), then with some bad choices for electives (and getting Ds/bringing down the GPA/having to do more electives to cover it...aaaaaaaaaaargh!).

I transferred to SFU (Burnaby) after 2 years at NWCC in Terrace, which was the first big move. Gotta do what you gotta do. I loved living in Terrace but it was kinda dead end at the time. I'd like to go back to the North for a few years or something, but nooo idea what to do with my life. So yeah, first two years in Vancouver/Burnaby, I lived in residence at SFU which rocked first year and sucked second.

Sucked sooo bad that my boyfriend and I decided to jump ship from that overcharin' pos institution and we moved in together as of April! We've been dating almost 3 years now.

So still in school + part time work at Subway nearby :3 I skipped going home this summer which was kind of hard, but my family all came to Vancouver at some point, haha.

alrighty...... not sure how long its been but i will go from when i graduated high school..... it was in 2006 i was dating someone called velquist on here... that shortly ended after graduation.... i got a 2nd job at a deli called scholtzsky's and was working at a theatre... met a guy named meverah (he's on here once in a blue moon)

he was in the middle of a divorce when we met well really i helped him decide he was tired of his wife cheating on him for over the 6th time and that he should leave but he had no where to stay so we became friends..... after the divorce we ended up becoming more than friends and turned into soul mates without realizing it..... now working minimum wage or less at a job called wafflehouse... its evil place to work... been working there for 3 years now and also have a 2 yr old daughter by my hubby jason...... (meverah) currently looking for new work and thinking about going back to school.... other than that nothing really new.

hhh, I remember Velquist around here actually, but I didn't thin it's been THAT long since I was around...

I really don't have too much time to be on compy, I am a busy busy woman...

I did make out all my cards here though and wonder if it requires special postage to mail to BC from USA...

where do you live AnKar?
PostPosted: Wed Dec 16, 2009 9:13 am

I'm not really sure what it costs for USA -> Canada. For me, it's like 50 cents more to mail to the states (so like 58 to 98 pretty much). :3

I've been working, lots of working. This year, I've gone to three funerals, which brings the total close to 10 funerals in two years. There has also been a fair amount of court. My wedding which was also work, but I can only take credit for the leg work, Meghan did most if not all the planning. In January I'll be closing on my house, hopefully before I start classes, pre-nursing, which isn't cheap considering I have minor work to do on the house before we move in.

Hi there! So glad to see you again! Now just don't go away again xp heart

I can't remember when we last spoke, and I've done a lot in the past few years... Spent a year longer at NWCC than Isa 'cause I couldn't afford to go to SFU in Vancouver, and ended up being really really poor, living in the utility closet of a shack on top of a mountain. Got sick with pneumonia for a month, but I didn't die. Which is maybe not a bad thing. I also ended up spending a summer working for the company that burned down the village I grew up in, in the village I grew up in. Had an awesome time, and made ridiculous amounts of money. Bought myself a cheap car, which I have crashed a couple of times and have a love/hate relationship with. Still couldn't really afford to move to Vancouver and go to SFU without getting loans or working during school. Decided to take a year off and move to Kamloops with a roommate, planned to minimize expenses and work a lot, make as much money as possible and get back to school this past fall. Got my security licence and got a job with a security company, where the work was awesome and the pay was s**t. They really screwed me over, and my roommate did as well since he didn't work almost the entire time we were there. I ended up having less money than I started with after a year. Still couldn't afford to move to Vancouver and go to SFU. But then I realized I could afford to take myself on a trip to Europe, so I just went right ahead and did that. Spent a month and a half going from Ireland, England, Holland, Germany, Prague in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and then back to Budapest in Hungary. I kept a journal of it, here in fact, for most of the way, but I didn't complete it and haven't uploaded any pictures from my trip, though they are on facebook. Loved every minute of it, and spent every penny I had, so that the last night I was there, in Frankfurt before I caught my plane the next day, I couldn't even afford food or a bed in a hostel, and had to sleep on a park bench. I also managed to just max out my $1000 credit card with my fight home to Vancouver, and then a bus from Vancouver to Prince George in the North. Spent a couple months with my parents in Kitimat, where I picked up odd jobs from friends and neighbours, worked under the table for my uncle for a while, and crawled off into the bush to pick mushrooms for profit until I was able to pay off my credit card completely and get just enough money to move somewhere else to get a real job. Then I got an offer from another buddy, who was moving to Nanaimo to go back to school, to move in as a roommate. So I took him up on it, got myself a job here at a convenience store, and that pretty much brings us to right now, and us pretending that this is a real "paragraph" ;D
Don't have a clear plan on what I'm doing with myself from here. I'd obviously love to go back to Europe, or do some more travelling elsewhere. It's also obviously some sort of really convenient coincidence that I've landed myself in the one other place in this province with a school that offers a Crim degree.. though it's definitely not nearly as awesome as SFU. So something might come of that, though I'd probably still have to do loans anyway. Also maybe worth mentioning is that I've likely drank this entire guild's weight in alcohol at least twice over. So that's probably some sort of achievement unlocked. 3nodding

Aoife! You've returned!

Not much to say about my life, it's more or less about the same as before. Moved about four-ish years ago, something like that. Not very far, like five minutes away from the old place. Smaller, my room doesn't have a door, and we've been trying to get a new place.

Aside from that, I'm basically the same as before. Wordy at times, of course. I can't really remember if I used my miquelet account more than this one when you were here before, but now Rye is the one who does most of my lurking and posting around here.

I've done a little writing, nothing published of course. Did win a few online writing/poetry contests, so I can't be that bad. I'm still a big dork!
