Today, I tried on my yukata that I will be receiving for my birthday, December 14th. It is so beautiful! Here is a picture of it: http://www.kimono-yukata-market.com/catalogue/pic/yukata/g-07/index.html
What do you think? If anyone wants info on the shop I got it from, I will be happy to tell you.

The obi is called "pearl white." On the bottom, it has a pattern like Princess Serenity's dress! Picture here: http://www.kimono-yukata-market.com/catalogue/obi/index-02.html

It's BEAUUUUTIFUL! I really do love the pattern of it. I should show it to my Japanese teacher. I think she would agree with the quality of it.

Yep, it's on December 14th! I was supposed to be born on Christmas, but I was high-risk and had to be born a bit early. I wasn't a preemie, but I was still very small, about 3 pounds. @.@ The doctor at my birth said I'd be 4'6", and indeed, that's my height. And I'm going to be 22!
There are some that go for about $40 on the clearance sale pages. Mine was a bit expensive. See, you have to buy the obi and koshi-himo (ties the yukata and adjusts it) separately. There are sets of the obi, koshi-himo, and geta sandals, but those cost as much as a yukata!
I would still recommend this shop to anyone who wants to buy a yukata and has the money, or is looking to ask for a big birthday or Christmas present. Needless to say, it's the only thing I am getting for my birthday this year. I usually get jewelry, but I really wanted this instead.

That's such a pretty pattern! You should post pics when you wear it. whee And I'll definitely have to surf that shop, I have one yukata but would love to have more. The obi you're getting is so cute, I want one.

Blue with white lilypad-like flowers and orange goldfish. I actually found it on ebay, but it only came with the obi and not the koshi himo so I had it hemmed since it was about 9 inches too long for me. xp I'm terrible at tying the obi, though... my husband does it for me!

Ah, cool. Mine has to be adjusted a lot because I am 4'6" and it normally fits someone that's 4'9" to 6 ft. tall. But it does fit. My mom was worried that it wouldn't. The sleeves fit perfectly.

Well that's good! Most Japanese people seem to be shorter, so you're probably a good size for yukatas and stuff.

Yeah. Sadly, the geta on the site wouldn't fit me. They might fit my mom, though. I want a kinchaku bag next. $18, and free shipping! They sent me a little present with my yukata, which I was not expecting, because that was advertised as coming with the clearance stuff. My mom won't let me see what it is until my birthday, though. It must be a first-time customer kind of thing. I saw an obi, koshi-himo and geta set with a lovely dark pink obi. Maybe for my next birthday, as it is kind of expensive.
