I guess we need a place to discuss recent chapters and other recent stuff in one thread, so here ya go. It becomes a bit frustrating having to go from one thread to another since there's quite a few about recent events. So please, discuss whatever you want about new chapters, new movies, and other awesome stuff related to DC/MK.

I knew it had something to do with the 4 saint beasts before it was completely revealed but sadly I couldn't figure out anything more than that.
I am surprised at the ending though, I wonder if KID was finally arrested and if he was then is it the start towards the end of the manga?
We'll just have to wait for the next installment and see but really the suspense is killing me.

I dunno, it's gonna be a close get away if anything, remember he can't use his hang glider in the middle of that storm so he's got to run as fast as he can to get away.

You gotta remember though, his father was the original Thief 1412 and look what happened to him.
I'm just saying that this might be the time that Kid reveals to Conan just what is going on and maybe something new happens. He's never come this close to being caught, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens to him and if they actually do apprehend him.

True, but he still got caught by the BO. I wonder though what actually happened to him, but I wonder more what kind of gem it is that he's actually looking for and what he'll do with it once he has it.

Oh yeah I forgot, I just knew he wanted to get it to keep it out of the hands of the BO, but really if it has that kind of power I seriously doubt that it's going to be something that's easy to destroy.

That's a good point, but are any of the gems Aoyama uses in his manga real? I never really thought about it until you mentioned the Hope Diamond. It's so large and does have an interesting story behind it so there's no telling if it would be the Pandora Gem he's looking for. And if the gem grants immortality it might in a way be immortal itself and thus there is no real way to destroy it. I'm sure someone realized that a long time ago, and if the gem does grant immortality then maybe there's an immortal protector for it, like that guy in Raiders of the Lost Arc.
Well though it is named the Hope Diamond it seems like it got its name from the Dutch family that owned it in the 1800s. It does make more sense for that if you ignore that, but there's no telling. There's just so many things to wonder about the whole situation, and so many questions to ask. I personally just hope to see the next step in each of the following mysteries and to see what happens through it all. We can only hope though that it'll be exciting.

Well maybe, but how much of a show could he put on where it's located? And think about it from a logical stand point, if he stole from the Smithsonian there's a very great chance he would be hunted down by the best tech and devices available even if he did return it. There's just some things that aren't worth it. Right now he only steals from one man mainly.
But otherwise yeah it doesn't seem like it'd be a good choice, but I do wonder what it'll end up being. I wonder if this will end up being something ironic and/or some kind of riddle gem where it wasn't really a gem or something. Right now though all we have is speculations for whatever good that is. But yeah I almost think that he could honestly steal that gem, but he'd have to do it more secretly than other times, because to defend a treasure of the Smithsonian I think people would have a "taze first, ask questions later" approach to everything... then again, what do I know heh.
