Ladies and Gentlemen... Kaito Ku- *cough* I mean, Kaito Kid!<><
Yo, Ladies and Gentlemen! I'm the Kaito Kid! Random comments may appear hidden between the lines. Read on, tantei-san.
You may have heard of me. Heh, you may have gone to one of my heists to see me steal something from right under the noses of the Kaitou 1412 task force! Won't they ever learn that they'll never catch me? ^^V Being childhood friends with Nakamori-keibu's daughter has extra perks!
So here's some things about me.
Name: Seriously? Who do you think I am, Nakamori-keibu? No way am I telling you! It's your job to find out, tantei-san!
Age: Refer to the previous statement.
Likes: The obvious (magic, illusions, stealing, pickpocketing, annoying Nakamori-keibu, annoying tantei-san (Hakuba Saguru), annoying tantei-kun (Kudo Shinichi), stealing gems from under their noses, and getting away with it!
Dislikes: Ice skating and... f-f-fi-fish! That reminds me, I need to get back at Hakuba-kun for that stunt.
I can disguise myself as anyone... even your friend, relative, or classmate! You wouldn't be able to tell the difference. As a master magician and illusionist, I can fool you into thinking anything that I want you to. Did you know that tantei-kun is my twin brother?
Heheh, just kidding! It might actually be true! The similarities can't be all coincidence, you know!
Kaito Handbook of Kaitou Arts
If you want to be a kaitou, there are some rules and regulations you have to follow. Yes, kaitou have a code to follow too, you know!
Rule#1: Now this is obviously the most important rule in the history of all Kaitou. No One Gets Hurt! That includes you, rookie kaitou!
Rule#2: Now this is a normal thief's first rule. Never Get Caught. It must not be ignored in the face of rule no. 1, unless the situation really calls for it. This situation will never happen if your skills stay sharp.
Rule#3: Even if you don't complete the mission, Always Do Your Best! This is a REALLY important rule. Follow it.
Rule#4: Normal thieves ignore this rule, 'cause they're too busy being thugs to enjoy the good side of the chase. Entertain the Audience... and Yourself!
Rule#5: This goes hand in hand with the previous rule. Always Get The Reaction You're Aiming For. If you don't, get OUT of there!
Rule#6: Especially when Murphy comes to play with his evil laws, Be Flexible! Remember, nothing is guaranteed on a heist. If you try to stick strictly to the plan, you have a high chance of breaking Rule#2.
Rule#7: This rule helps Rule#2 and Rule#6 somewhat. Check your Equipment Beforehand. Admittedly, a skilled kaitou can get in and out with his/her target easily without equipment, but what's the fun in that? Rule#4 doesn't rely on Rule#7, but it helps to have more options ready for the more elaborate shows. ^^
Rule#8: Always Return What You Steal. Kaitou are known for 'creatively stealing their targets,' yes, but you have to return them creatively too! It's all about Rule#4. ^^
Rule#9: Send a Heist Note! Don't forget to tell your guests when and where the party starts! One of the good ways to send a message is by way of fortune cookie. Very useful! Then again, you can always use a dove if you're short on time. ^^
Rule#10: Last one. Don't Trip on your Cape. You definitely have to wear one, but we don't need a redo of the cape disasters in the Incredibles movie, do we?
If you never break these rules, every heist will be a success wether or not you get away with your target!
I will puzzle you! ^^
Now... really, something about me. The real me.
My favorite color is blue. To most, my age is unknown. Some would say half a decade. Some would say a score. Some, even, would say a full decade. What is physical age next to a person's mental age?
I hate wearing masks, yet I use them every day. Why? I don't know. Maybe because I'm afraid of showing the real me, or don't know how to show it. I pretend about who I really am. I hate it, yet I can't stop doing it. That's why I write my heart on a page, let my true feelings flow from me, through my pencil, onto the blank parchment that physically represents my life. When I write, I know that others won't read and know who it was that wrote their heart out... literally. When I write, it's closer to the real me than when I talk to you face to face.
It's sad, but I can't stop. I try, but it's so hard to separate the me I show to everyone and the me I really am. Sometimes, I don't even know which is which. I wear masks. And the sad part is, no one notices. By the way, to quote a certain mangaverse character in reverse, I'm really a girl.

...Well, that's it for now, folks! I hope you enjoyed the magic! Remember, the answer is found among the clover and the feathers of a crow. This will be the only clue given from kaitou to tantei. - Kaito
