I know that Sailor Moon was the first Sailor senshi discovered by Luna, but Artemis discovered Venus long before, didn´t he? Even if Sailor Venus hadn´t her full power, she fought crime & evil with the power of Venus. Or am I wrong?
I just ask because so many people say Sailor Venus is the 5th inner Sailor senshi.....

Hm. going back and reading bits and pieces of my Sailor V scanlations...
she's calling herself Sailor V with the powers of Venus :/ and at the end they flash back to the Magellan castle a bit :/ So i suppose she's using her Venus powers in this.
and any cameo Usagi and friends get, their always in civilian form and not hanging out together, (or are in a Moon Kingdom flashback)
So yeah, I consider Sailor V to be the first Inner scout made (both in story and IRL)

I'd say 2nd. Sailor Moon is the protagonist.
In the manga, Sailor V actually appeared in person first. So that would make people think that she was first. But Sailor VENUS didn't appear until after Jupiter.
In the anime, Sailor V never actually appeared in person. Just Sailor Venus. But also, if you recall, the order of upgrades always went in this order:
Sailor Moon would get a new transformation & Attack
The rest of the senshi would get their henshin sticks at the same time (but Ami got hers the same day in R)
Mercury would how her new transformation on screen. And her attack.
Same with Mars.
Jupiter & Venus would do theirs at the same time, but Jupiter was always before Venus.
Also, in the filler episodes of R, when they get special attacks, Mercury was first, then Mars, Jupiter, and finally Venus.
In PGSM, they awoke their powers in the same order.
In all 3, Venus' civilian form was the last of the 5 to appear. PGSM doesn't count because they didn't know she was Venus/V then.
It's like whether Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto appeared first.
Let's just say they all became senshi at the same time in the Silver Millenium. Although, it could be decided on who was born first. Because maybe when they where born, they where destined to be senshi.
If Sailor V really was the Moon princess, than maybe Artemis would be the Venus princess. And Princess Serenity would be the princess of the lost planet, Serenity! XD

Venus herself says that she was a Sailor long before the others, in the last episode of Season 2. Also, there's the fact that she's the leader of the Inners (exempting Sailor Moon, of course). And as far as that thing with Serenity goes... Serenity's not a planet. It's a Firefly-class transport. xd

Sailor Venus was the first Senshi to be awakened by the moon cats, one year before Sailor Moon, but she was the last Senshi to appear in the show's first season. She worked solo for many months as Sailor V, trying to trick the Dark Kingdom (then acting as the Dark Agency) into thinking she was the princess while looking for the real one herself. Since Sailor Moon did not originally exist in the Silver Millennium, she was the "true" leader of the Inner Senshi. She met Artemis when she was 13 years old.
She was also the only Sailor Senshi to have her own independent series.
In my mind I think Venus was always there as a Senshi but she just never showed herself to the other senshi until that time in the show plus wasn't she in England or had just come back from England as Sailor V or something.

When Minako was first told she was a Sailor Senshi, Artemis explained to her that she was the soldier of Venus. I believe she already knew she was Sailor Venus but prefered Sailor V better.

Yes venus is the fisrt sailor senshi, in story plot, and in real life creation sequence. Takeuchi-sensei created venus/Sailor V before all of the other senshi, but then reworked the story to include a team of senshi, rather than just on (Sailor V/Sailor Venus).

Venus was the first senshi to gain power. She was Sailor V not Sailor Venus, but still I think it counts as being first 3nodding
