Happy Thanksgiving, guys! My family doesn't technically "celebrate" Thanksgiving in the sense of gathering around the table and saying what we're thankfu for, so I figured I'd ask you guys.
For me, I'm most thankful for my wonderful boyfriend. He is my joy, my darling, my lover, and my best friend. He is the best thing to happen ot me in years, and I'm thankful for every second that God allows for me to be with him.
He went home earlier today to have Thanksgiving dinner with his parents, but before he left, he sent me this email:The most wonderful man ever This year, the thing I am most thankful for is you. For finding a woman who lets me feel alive, who shows me that loving someone doesn't have to mean pain and agony, who lets me forget the man I was and lets me be excited for the man I will be. For every kiss, every conversation, every laugh, every argument, every touch, every smile, every worry, every happy moment, jealous moment, frustrated moment, angry moment, for every time I've looked at the sky and wondered what you were doing in that exact moment, every whisper phone call, every dinner, every movie, every trip, every time I was able to escape reality and hide in your arms, for every song that reminds me of you. I am thankful for every "I love you" and every "I miss you" every conversation about your family and gaming, I am thankful for having had the chance of a lifetime - to give my heart and everything I am to the most incredible woman I've ever met. I am thankful for being able to tell you honestly, without doubt, question, or hesitation that I love you. I love you, _____. Happy Thanksgiving <3 Certainly brightened up my day. 3nodding
What are you most thankful for this year, members of RoseSoul?

thankfullness, oh my, the thing i'm th most thankful for.... definately that i get to live. that i get to exist. that i get to actually be out and about, and often too! the oppurtunity to imagine what i'd like to do with my life, and even better, the chance to actually have goals, and they be reachable. i can have a proffssion, or an occupation, something other than partying and sitting in the dark. to be acknowledged as a person. that it is known that i am human, and i need to be loved, just like everyone else.
and i, i am thankfull most for Shandrel to have come into my life. that Mother always watches me. that i have food and warmth and shelter. and that finally, i will get out of this town. and still have the food, warmth, shelter, and love.

Day late and a dollar short, kinda story of my life... but I am thankful that my kids and wife are healthy *as I have my little girl eating a cookie on my lap this morning*.
As always I am thankful for my wife being in my life. Without her I'd have probably been dead already, as she helps keep my sane/centered/safe from doing stupid things. Course seeing as she compliments my very nicely, it makes things complete like a yin-yang symbol.
I am thankful I still have a job in this economy to help support my family, but I really don't like work much. To me it is ever only a means to be able to do what I enjoy and want to do. However, you can't do anything without money and thus the double-edge sword of it. Now if only my lotto numbers come in on Saturday!
I am definitely thankful for family, as most of both of ours lives in the same city as us and the support/help they give throughout the year. Without them we'd really be in trouble.
Well off to get some more breakfast for the wee one...

I am thankful that Thanksgiving and Black Friday are both over. My family had to spend TG with step-in-laws, and most of them are certifiably insane. My mother-in-law's brother is married to a shrew who also is a vegitarian, and since the smell of cooking meat, i.e. roasting turkey, makes her nautius, she takes it out on EVERYONE. Her version of "heavy" mashed potatoes are light enough to lift a zeplin, and her creamed spinach is just spinach, no cream, that has been chastised until it's soft and limp. Much like her husband I might add. And then my MIL's other sister has an adorable little son who's only goal in life is to maliciously annoy everyone around him. I kid you not, he shoved my little girl just so he'd get attention. And when I told him that he couldn't stick his hand in the stuffing, he went crying to his mother as if I'd physically hurt him. She doesn't even like spending time with him. She tried to pass him off to the rest of the family when she got to the BF sales late.
GAH!! These unrelated relatives make me so angry sometimes.
**deep cleansing breath**
But I'm home now. With my wonderful husband, my amazingly well behaved daughter, my cuddly cat, and 9 pages of long-hand story to type up on the computer.
I think I'll be ok now.

I'm thankful for all the people in my life... From family and friends to guild-mates here in RST (you guys!) and CoC (Children of Christ is an awesome Guild with a whole buncha AWESOME people! Yes, Ima Christain! and PROUD of it!) I'm thankful that my awesome God has been with me throughout my tramatic experience this fall... ITP, hospitals, blood tests, low platelets, needles, headaches, 10-hour infusion... I'm also thankful that I'm still going... weakly, but goin'. My platelet count is up to 33 thousand (normal is 150-400 thousand) and I have a blood test Monday... shoot...

When I really think about it, I think Thanksgiving is one of the few few few--maybe even only--holiday that businesses haven't completely taken over. I mean, sure, we go out and buy enough food to feed a third world country and end up eating leftovers for a week, but there's no tangible presents involved in the tradition (that I know of)--just a bunch of people getting together and appreciating what they have in life.

Cronos the Timekeeper shandrel lol good *grins* sorry, the mother instinct kicked in there razz Hey I can't help it... she wanted them and gave me that look, besides atleast they were Iced Oatmeal so not all bad. Yeah I'm a softie for her most of the time. but I do stand my ground here and there, I mean you got to pick your battles. mrgreen heh... don't worry man, i know i'll be a father who spoils his little girls when i have them... whee and Dew, i have to disagree, i see Thanksgiving too totally commercialized... Black Friday is a tradition what the sole purpose of is to go to post TG sales.... how is that in ANY way a spiritual practice or family get-together?
