T-day 2009 The Airship
The airships that leave Ria high are of 1st class quality. Lovely leather seat and enough leg room so you can practice doing splits in front of them. The airship itself is piloted by an ex-pirate under the alias "Joe". Joe doesn't like to talk much so most of the airship announcements will be done through an android.
The airship in order to get to Kasyune will be jumping through various large portals created by warp mages. It seemed the most appropriate way to travel. snacks will include:
Pocky fritos Wasabi peas Raisin bran Bubble tea Bell peppers Monster energy drinks Apple juice Bloody mary's Non alchoholic beer. (lul wut)
The trip itself 5 hours. (No don't really wait five hours just in RP sense)
The airship will land here

"So.. empty..."
That was the only thing Keila could remark to herself as she looked about the large, seemingly empty ship. Certainly, it would fit all of Ria High's students onto it, and it would seem so full of life in a short amount of time!, but void of other persons it seemed almost intimidating.
She sighed and looked down at the light gray cami she was wearing, coupled with some thin, blue and gold plaid shorts. Supposedly, it was hot where they were headed, but it didn't stop her from binding her neck snug with a black, woolen scarf. Just because it was going to be super-hot there didn't mean it wouldn't freeze still on -their- planet! Speaking of which, standing so close to the door didn't seem like a good idea, so Keila let herself in further to the ship. The second thought that hit her was the food.
So.. much.. food! You could practically have your own thanksgiving just from all the snacks that were laid out! Keila rushed over and only barely caught herself in front of the long table closest to her. No! We're eating there. It'll be good. A meal fit for royalty. Snacks in moderation, Keila. Snacks.. in.. But she hadn't eaten all day ( or yesterday ) in preparation for the huge feast ahead, worried about offending the Treachu people by not eating enough of their food. The sudden sight of all the food was too much to bear!... So she made a plate of a ( supposedly ) moderate size and plopped herself down on one of the leather seats. There was a big area for people to walk around in though, ( well, duh, there was food ) so it only seemed likely that after takeoff they'd be allowed to roam.
"It's like a party ship.. a party space ship.." she mumbled through bites of snack food. The selection was so varied. Like all the snack foods everyone could think of were piled into a huge bowl and then only ten or so were pulled out like a lottery.
Oh, well. thought the young teenager while munching away happily. She surveyed the scene with cheerful green eyes, and after swallowing her latest bite of food gave a smile that matched the mood the rest of her face made.
This is going to be so much fun. I can just feel it.

Rajah was extremely out-of-character as she boarded the ship. "I just joined this stupid high school, and what do I get to do? Go on a field trip with a bunch of people I FRICKING DON'T KNOW!" she grumbled, giving a pissed-off glare to the android that greeted her. She took a glance at the snack table, and grunted something about needing meat. "As if they don't know that vampires exist..."
Rajah wandered around the ship, not really paying attention to much. She fiddled with the bottom of her khaki shorts, being grateful that the myths about sunlight killing vampires were not true. She was lost in thought until she suddenly reached a room filled with mirrors.
She stood in front of a large mirror, staring at her reflection. Her long, black hair was a mess, and the red clips she always had in were crooked. The bright orange tank top she had grabbed was a total contrast to her blood-red boots and khaki short-shorts. Rajah sighed. "Oh well. It's too late to change, anyways." Feeling a need for conversation, she found her way back to the seating area and plopped down next to Keila.

Sukai wandered onto the ship with her thoughts of the planet they were heading to on her mind. It had been her first time on an airship and she was rather excited to see the new place that this already magically acclaimed school was taking her to. She also thought about the food that she had stored with her luggage and hoped that the trip there would not be too jerky. As Sukai moved closer in towards the back of the ship she came across another girl there. That wasn't the only thing she noticed that caught her eye about the girl. It was actually the large array of food that she was munching away at. Sukai had past the table full of snacks on the way here, but decided the blood pack in her carry-on be enough. She shook her head a little bit smiling to herself, it almost seemed like people in Ria really liked to eat A LOT.
She wasn't sure whether or not to sit next to the girl, so she opted to sit in a seat a row behind hers. 'I wonder what everyone's bringing to the feast' she thought quietly to herself as she slowly settled down in her chair. The seat itself was rather comfy and the airship had an interesting smell. 'Smells like, new car...?'she thought oddly as she pushed herself into the chair more.
Sukai dressed in her normal outfit, cold and heat didn't really bother her. She was already dead in the first place, much like the Treachu's undead king. But they certainly lived longer than vampires. She had yet to come across another vampire that was more than 1000 years old. After the entire day of class that Sukai had to attend, she almost felt sure about how Kasyune was going to be.
She pulled out her mp3 player and stuck one of her ear buds in her ear while coiling the other one around her neck.
'This is going to be a very interesting adventure...'she thought resting her head on the head rest.

Piece of Cake. Joy thought. Currently she was sitting in the pilot's seat of her mom's jet, her large combat boots propped up on the control board and her hands supporting her head in the reclined chair. All I had to do was program in the coordinates and tell the auto pilot to hit it! I don't know why Mom's so paranoid about letting me fly this thing. It's super easy, and besides, I'm a genius.
She grinned proudly as she wiped sugary fingers down her black wife beater. Celestial had prepared her a nice meal to bring to Kasyune and her daughter hadn't been able to resist sampling it before she got there, even though her mother had specified not to. She wasn't here though, was she.
Joy got up from her pilot's chair and hurried over to the storage compartments, hauling out another neatly wrapped bundle of the sugared jungle plants soaked in various syrups. They were a specialty of the tribe that roamed the jungle near her house. Although one would expect them to be heavily laden with sweetness, most of the syrups were pleasantly tart, balancing out the extra sugar. If they were served wrapped in the large leaves of a cousin of the lettuce family, like they were supposed to, the intense flavour floated on a watery base and the entire impression was amazing.
Joy couldn't resist.
She had already gone through two of the smaller bundles. She had only brought twenty five with her in total, though three of them were quite large. For a moment she regretted not going on the school spaceship where they had plenty of snacks, but immediately banished the thought. There she would be herded and counted and scheduled! Here she was independent. Flying her own plane independently. And after she demonstrated how easily she could complete a supposedly complicated flight her mother would have to let her fly the plane whenever she wanted.
Extremely satisfied with herself, Joy decided an adequate reward would be a third package of the tropical goodness. Just as she undid the crimson ribbon that held the plastic wrapping scrunched at the top, the jet jerked, tearing the food out of her hand. The girl was thrown to the floor, bruising her hip because of the ornamented and studded belt she wore. Cursing, she crawled back to the control panel to see what was ********. ******** s**t ******** ********> A mantra of cursing reeled through her mind as Joy hauled herself back onto the chair and started to fool with the dials. Damn it! The girl had forgotten to factor in the greater gravity! Or more precisely, autopilot forgot to factor it in. Soon more curses flew past her lips as Joy frantically turned dials and pushed buttons and basically went haywire on the control panel. In a mere few seconds a bright red light began flashing throughout the cockpit. "DAMNIT!" Joy yelled, tears pricking her eyes.
The speedometer was rapidly climbing as the rate of acceleration grew. Nothing was working! Now there was not only a flashing red light but a loud siren bombarding Joy's sensitive body. Now full on crying, Joy did the only thing she could do. She ran to the storage compartment, scooped out as many packages as she could, and strapped herself into her seat before flipping open a plastic box and pushing a big red button.
As soon as the plane was far enough into the atmosphere, Joy, along with her tightly held food, was launched into the air in an emergency evacuation. Her parachute opened, yanking her into the air. Another packaged tumbled out of her arms. She was down to five. Well, at least they don't like fruits all that much..
After a few seconds in the air Joy saw her mom's plane crash into the ground, leaving behind a crater and a great big poof of dirt. Some of it got high enough to coat her lungs and make her choke intensely. By the time she had rid her throat of the powder she was a moment from impact. Roughly, Joy was deposited on the ground, along with her prized food. As she unbuckled herself and adjusted slowly to the extra weight her lithe body now supported, Joy surveyed the carnage. Two thoughts flew into her head:
Damn, now I'll have to take the school ship back home
...Mom's gonna kill me.

Sang Ki's amber eyes eyed the premises of the snazzy ship, awe struck at the level of quality the school was able to provide for them. Immediately he knew that Ria High was loaded. He shyly walked in, carrying his potato casserole as if it was his baby. He was happy to see that literally no one was in the ship. It eased him of the pain of intruding in someone's "clique." Sang Ki had just started school today and he had just literally arrived at the school minutes ago. He didn't even have time to throw his belongings in his new dorm. Wasting no time he plopped his tooshy on the nearest seat and placed his bag to the seat next to him. He sighed a bit as he leaned back on the chair, trying to soak in of what had happened minutes ago upon arriving at Ria High. He still couldn't believe that Colonel Suki pushed him away like that, almost as if he was anxious of getting away from him. Sang ki sighed once more, ignoring the thought. He then focused his attention on the planet Kasyune and the inhabitants that waited for them.
HHHmmmm, let's see...If I remember correctly Kasyune is a planet filled with lizard people...I also heard that it gets extremely hot over there.
Sang Ki just sighed as he observed the clothes that he was wearing. Everything below seemed fine, capris and converse shoes, but above was a different story. Sang Ki had three layers on, a regular shirt, a cardigan, and a vest. Not to mention the scarf that was hanging around his neck. Sang Ki just shrugged it off. He could easily just take off his clothing.
Sang Ki then looked over to the table full of delicious snacks. A girl already on the ship had already taken advantage of the generosity bestowed by the school and consumed most of the snacks. Sang Ki wasn't in a very hungry mood. Perhaps it was the casserole that Suki gave him putting him off in a icky mood to eat. Bored, Sang Ki swiftly flicked his hand out as a pink glowing light flickered from his fingers. The lights then formed into a dazzling pink butterfly as it flew aimlessly around the ship. The butterfly managed to fly out of the ship, only to decompose within seconds of being released.
I guess its gonna be a while before we take off...

He sat in a seat by himself, avoiding people in general as he usually did. He watched as one of the girls attacked the snack-platter immediately upon her entrance. A small smirk spread across his lips as he peered around the room, examining everyone else with his eyes. He was wondered when it would happen, when would Sawyer finally show up at the school. he had been here two years now, and to no avail had the younger male shown up yet. He knew it was worth the wait, but his patience grew thin as more time went on and after a thousand or so years, patience was bound to falter soon enough. Placing his sword down on the seat next to him, he strode over to the snacks. Looking delicately over the options, he grabbed some pocky and left the table to head back to his chair.
Nibbling at the sweet treat he walked back to the chair slowly. He halted as he heard a large boom from outside, before he continued walking. As alarming as the sound was, at Ria, these things happened quite frequently so it didn't bother him too much. He noted how the girl who was previously at the food before him was now set next to another girl and was engaging in some sort of conversation. Sitting down in his chair he also took notice of another female sitting a few seats down, listening to her mp3 player. He began to question if this was an all girl field trip and if he had mistakenly came. he was almost sure it wasn't but then again, the estrogen in the room was beginning to make him think different. he then noticed another male enter the ship and he sighed in relief, before resting his head against his arm.
Wonder where were going, hopefully somewhere exciting... maybe Sawyer will show up....
He began to drift to sleep.
I doubt it

A short, childish boy appeared in the ship's doorway, peering around through large green eyes at the scene. It looked.. alright. Really, this little boy was a girl, and she had her fair share of experience with spaceships. But since she was supposed to be hiding that fact, along with her gender and race, she had decided that driving herself wouldn't be the best idea. Besides, she wanted the full student experience!
She shuffled inside, peering around at the few already arrived, and then turned her attention to the table. "...hm." It didn't take long for her to decide to help herself. She gathered up some pocky, a few Monsters, a bubble tea, and some fritos, and then slumped down in her seat. She set a bag on her lap, a bit small to hold everything she'd need, but it did. With hers, things definitely weren't what they seemed.
She was wearing black slacks, with a baggy grey hoodie that hid the shirt beneath. Her hair was bright blue, short in the back, with long parts in the front that framed her face, and around her neck she wore a little skull necklace, currently hidden beneath the sweatshirt. This necklace was definitely another 'more than it seems' example, but its purpose would remain a secret for as long as she could help it.
She peered around herself again, watching a couple of the others, and then unzipped the bag. A wet little nose peeked out, followed by a furry face. It was a mouse; a kangaroo mouse to be exact. It wriggled its way from the bag to settle atop it instead, and accepted a frito from Akimi. Holding it between its paws, it nibbled away, and Aki laughed to herself before staring out the window, while absently sipping from a can of Monster she'd already opened. "I'm ready to go, Zexon..!" she spoke in a soft, strained tone. The little kangaroo mouse peeked up at her, seemed to shake its head and huff out a tiny mouse sigh, and then returned to its snack.

After hearing the news that the airship was set to leave for the planet Kasyune Great Kane got excited. He was excited because it gave him a chance to interact with other classmates and a new species. He knew that the planet was hot and the climate was not really suitable for humans." Guess ill wear my swimsuit and a shirt" He thought. So Great Kane gather up his clothes and headed for the airships.
When he arrived at the air ship it was starting to get crowded. " perfect Ill get to know the classmates and teachers" Great Kane said aloud. Carrying his backpack and other items for the journey. He proceeded to enter the air ship and head straight towards the back of the airship.
" only 5 hours till I meet the king for the first time" Kane thought to himself as he sat and watched as more passengers came aboard.

Ema Felicitas Ofélia Tavares Almeida ducked her head as she climbed aboard what she found out was called an airship, clutching one of the tattered knapsacks she'd brought with her to Ria. She'd dropped off her other bags at her dorm, where the front desk assistant informed her that students were welcome to attend this trip to a strange planet. Never one to miss an opportunity to see the universe, Feli had run back to her room and changed into her best (albeit loose) trousers and, after some thought, wriggled into a slightly baggy loose-knit pullover cardigan that her mother had used when painting outdoors - the assistant told her they were going to meet the king, so Feli made an effort to dress nicely. There was, however, nothing to be done for her shoes, as all she owned were sneakers, so she dug out her newest ones and slipped them on. As a last-ditch effort to appear well-groomed, she had brushed her teeth for the fifth time and combed her hair on the way out the door. She'd smiled and thanked the desk assistant as she booked over to the airship's location.
Sighing, Feli peeked down at her outfit and began instantly to regret that she hadn't brought more of her mother's dressy clothing. But where else would I wear it? she thought wryly. She imagined she resembled a very small skeleton in the loose clothes, but nothing could be done about it now.
As she noticed how many people were already waiting on the airship, she became uncharacteristically shy and sought out a seat toward the back, and settled into a row by herself next to the window. Some of the other students were sleeping, but Feli observed a small boy with bright blue hair and slightly feminine green eyes; he had a pile of snacks in his lap, and a bag that seemed to be twitching. The shocking silver hair of another boy, who looked to be about her age, caught her attention and she had to force herself to look away. He was impeccably dressed, which reminded her of her own less-than-stellar ensemble; she sighed again and turned her attention to her small, bony hands, which peeked out from under the too-long sleeves of the deep purple cardigan. She wondered how to introduce herself to people who wouldn't understand the reason for five names. This is more difficult than I thought it would be.

(kurai said it was ok to post like i'd already taken a ride in the airship, so here goes. ;D) Austin stepped out of the shuttle slowly, and took each step cautiously. When he had reached the bottom of the retractable stairs, he sighed softly. "Hell, they weren't kidding when they said the gravity was higher here." His feet felt like the had lead weights attached, and the rest of his body even more-so. He moved over to the cargo area of the shuttle, and keyed in his student ID. One of the many 'drawers' that decorated it's side slid open with a pneumatic hiss, and he walked to it, and pulled out a very large metal case. He placed it on the ground with a heavy THUD, and turned around to press the drawer back into place. "Hey, Ginseku, get over here and help me out with this." Ginseku exited the shuttle in a non-chalant manner, acting as if the extra gravity didn't even exist. He slid down the hand-railing of the steps quickly, and walked over to Austin. "Whassamatta, you can't carry it by yourself?"
Austin looked up at Ginseku with a small frown. "You know i don't know how to use Anti-gravity seals. Why don't you stop with that grin and show me?" Ginseku took a seat on the side of the shuttle, kicking his foot up to lean against it. "Think about it, Austin. It's a technique for reversing Earthbound force." "NO s**t. You need to show me the damn SEAL, NOT TELL ME HOW TO MAKE IT." Ginseku coughed. "What's with the pissy mood?" "Maybe I don't like feeling like i weigh more than i do, maybe I don't want to be exhausted by the time we reach the palace. Either way, could you just help me out here, PLEASE?" Ginseku sighed, and kicked off of the shuttle to stand next to Austin. He pulled out a small scrap of paper and a Kunai, and slit his thumb. He pressed it against the paper and made a few symbols of sealing, then placed it in Austin's hand. "You figure out the rest, since you think you know so much." With that, Ginseku turned around, and walked off a bit. He removed his shirt after a moment, and folded it neatly. He spread his compressed wings, and flexed them out in different positions slowly, stretching them.
"Figure it out myself..what a bum." Austin looked down at the symbols on the scrap of paper. He took a seat on his suitcase, and thought about it for a moment while he watched Ginseku get ready to take flight. "Let's see here...Earth, Wind, Earth, Fire.." Austin facepalmed himself. IT WAS SO EASY. "Why the hell didn't I think of that before?" Austin pulled out a few of his own neatly cut paper tags, and mimicked Ginseku's example with his own blood. He formed a few hand-seals, and tapped each one of the tags afterward. They began to float. Austin smiled in triumph. He waved at Ginseku with a shout. "THINK YOU'RE SO COOL. I GOT IT WITHOUT YOUR HELP."
Ginseku looked back at Austin from his bend-and-reach stretch, upside down. He stood upright, and waved at Austin. "Silly kid..I knew you would." He bent over and picked up his shirt, and pointed himself in the direction of the Palace. He flapped his wings, and with a great burst of air, launched himself high into the air, before flapping them again. He looked back at Austin before continuing any further, and shouted back down before he was too high to be heard. "CATCH UP, SLOWPOKE."
Austin growled slightly. He placed the last tag on his leg, then stood slowly, not trying to use more energy than necessary to do so. He felt like he was as light as air; in fact, he was. He floated off of the ground slowly, and when he noticed it, he began to panic. He reached down for his suitcase, and used it as a base to pull himself back to the ground. He thought about it for a moment. Now that gravity didn't apply to him, how was he going to stay on the ground? It was a simple answer, but it made him feel like a genius nonetheless. He planted one foot on the ground, and shot energy into it as if he were climbing a vertical wall. His foot remained plastered, and he didn't float away. "That's how we do it." Austin laughed. He grabbed his suitcase, and leapt up from it. He took things one step at a time. By the time he had left the landing pad, though, he noticed he felt extremely tired, and that Ginseku was no longer visible; well, he was visible, but he was almost a speck, as far away as he was. Austin sweatdropped slightly, then looked at the large, well, MOUNTAIN, was the only word that sufficed, of steps that awaited him before he reached the Palace. "Eff that." Austin whirled his arm quickly, and focused his will into the air that he was churning. It began to spin even quicker, and became a whirlwind. He removed his arm, and lifted his suitcase, putting it into the whirlwind. It sat contently in the center, floating in midair. Austin then pulled out a length of wire, and tied it to the belt-loop in the back of his pants, and attached the other end to the handle of his suit-case. He leapt after it was fastened securely, and floated calmly in the air. He pulled the wire, and goaded the suitcase over to himself. He stood on it like a platform, and knelt slowly, coming to a cross-legged position on the suitcase. He formed a seal with his hands, and closed his eyes. The miniature whirlwind began to churn intensely, and it became larger. All of a sudden, Austin, the case, and the whirlwind shot off like a bullet, headed towards the palace in a meteor-like streak.
Ginseku landed calmly, and folded his wings. A few burned feathers floated down after him, scattering in his landing space. He compressed them back onto his body, and slipped on his shirt calmly. He began to head towards the front entrance when he heard a high-pitched whine, like a missile headed for the ground, when he turned around to see a massive...SOMETHING, headed this way. It looked like a meteor or a comet trying to collide with the palace. Even the guards at the gate were somewhat thrown at this phenomenon, and began to call for an evacuation of the area. Ginseku didn't waste time; He ran forward and assumed a defensive stance, and began to form seals. "Dragonbreat-" Just before the 'comet' was within striking range, it stopped in midair, and the large accumulation of wind around it's body dissipated. There, sitting on a whirlwind, was Austin. The whirlwind flipped upside down, and shot Austin down like a cannon, his suitcase following after him because of the wire attached. Austin simply flipped once, and landed in a crouching stance. He looked upwards, and leaned back slightly, catching the case in his arms; he did so with a light grunt, and put the suitcase down quickly afterwards. He then walked quietly over to Ginseku, who was still in awe at all of this, and patted him on the shoulder quietly. " You can stop gawking now. What, did you think I was gonna take those stairs?" Ginseku shut his mouth, which had been hanging open, and responded. " I didn't think you were so damn impulsive. Any further, I would've burned you to a crisp. YOU HAD EVERYONE HERE ON EDGE." He punched Austin in the arm, and Austin winced slightly at it. Austin looked around, and saw that all of the guards were heavily surprised at these strange 'powers' he'd just displayed. He waved sheepishly at them, signaling a friendly presence, and this seemed to comfort them; at least, somewhat. He picked up his case, detaching the wire from it and himself, and made his way slowly over to the front entrance, following Ginseku. "Yes, hi. I'm Austin Gonzales, and this is Ginseku Shirokiba. We're here from Ria High, and we bring food for T-day." Austin lifted his case, and opened it; To Ginseku's surprise, only half of its contents were clothing. The other half was food in separate cast-iron boxes, with ornately tied ribbons placed on top to keep them shut. The guards looked at each other questioningly at first, then pressed the large doors open for the two to enter.
Upon entering, Ginseku's face changed; He was very impressed with how well-detailed the main hall was. Everything shimmered and radiated in a golden glow. Probably because of all the gold. Austin wasn't as impressed; honestly, he had never taken metal to be all that appealing. He preferred hand-carved furniture and appreciated wood as a much more tasteful decorating material. But, not being from Triunis, Austin kept his mouth shut; Perhaps they didn't have enough wood to make furniture and columns with. Perhaps they preferred stone because they were a reptilian race. Either way, the two of them walked slowly, taking in all of the details and wondering where they were supposed to head next.

((ftr, when i write in just italics and blue, it is Padgett speaking. It's supposed to be like a disembodied voice. italics with quotes is Max's thoughts))
Max clambered his way onto the airship, holding his messenger bag with Padgett sitting gracefully on his shoulder. Padgett may have looked graceful, but God knows how much he actually weighed. He rolled his eyes and looked through the aisles to find an empty seat, preferably an entire space to himself. But, alas, everything was taken. He headed to the back and picked a seat at random. He was wearing black slacks with a navy and powderblue pinstripe shirt and a powderblue tie. Padgett, on the other hand, wasn't really wearing anything. Chances are he'd be transformed into something the entire time, and since he was so small it wouldn't matter.
Max hunched back and let his knees rest on the seat in front of him, and he reached for his iPod out of his messenger bag. His earbuds found their way to his ears and the music started. He wasn't actually listening to anything in particular, he just wanted to block out some of the chatter of the other people on the ship with him. He had also packed some fresh strawberries with strawberry and whipped cream in his bag. He pulled those out and slowly removed the lid, looking at the girl he had sat next to. She looked nervous and uncomfortable. He didn't blame her. He was too, but he had been at this school long enough that it rarely showed. All he could remember was the last time he had been on an airship--headed to the Roxalis Amusement Park, where, while he had been there, a few people had been kidnapped by space pirates. At this point nothing really surprised him.
Because the ship was so packed, it was getting warmer. Padgett made up for the extra heat by becoming a small cloud and hovering over Max's head. Then there was a slight rumble from the cloud. No, it wasn't going to rain; Padgett was sleeping. He rolled his eyes and poked the cloud before smiling at the girl next to him. "Hi, I'm Max." he held out a hand to shake and simultaneously pulled one of his earbuds out of his ears. "Hopefully it's okay that I'm sitting here." his french accent was still noticeable.

Feli was considering pulling her battle-scarred mp3 player from her knapsack, but ended up tapping her knees with the tips of her fingers and staring out the window instead. She wondered what an alien planet would look like, thinking about all the things she'd learned of Mars and Saturn and strange, faraway stars. The Treachus were supposedly a lizard people, and their planet was reported to be sweltering; she'd packed a pair of modest shorts and a lighter pullover just in case. She began to wonder what her parents might have been doing if they were still alive, a game she used to play often but stopped after her grandparents died. But it was an old habit, and you know what they say about those...
She almost didn't notice the boy who settled down next to her, earbuds in his ears, a strange something hanging over his head, which he poked unceremoniously as it...rumbled? Feli blinked as the boy spoke, and she detected a slight accent, though she couldn't, for the life of her, tell from where. She took a little breath and wondered if maybe meeting people would be easier than she thought.
Smiling broadly, she took his hand firmly and shook it. Her grandfather had always told her that you knew a person from their handshake. They'd practiced shaking hands when she was younger, until her grasp was strong and confident. Nice and firm, he'd smiled, and her grin suddenly faltered at the memory, though within a millisecond it was plastered again across her cheery face.
"Yes! It's perfectly fine. I'm Ema - I mean...Feli. I'm Feli," she repeated nervously. As she released his hand, she let her head bounce back onto the headrest.
