How do these affect your writing/storyline?

For example, I always stop writing for a few months, and then I go back renewed and rejuvenated, but I have a better plot twist, and now I have to take my outline and re-do the whole last half of it. Which I need to do, and it will make it better, but omg, it's so much work.

Really? The whole thing? You don't try to change it or update it at all?

Haha no, the only time I ever leave a story is if I need a break and when I look back on it, the whole thing...just looks rubbish and amateur. So I simply leave it. The only one I may go back to is Carnality as the ending I planned isn't right for my story sad
Edit: What the hell? All my posts are moving up to the front of the thread?!

I think Gaia's being weird right now, I seem to be doing double-posts every now and again.

Also, I've done that before as well (mainly with fanfiction), but I don't know, maybe it's because I finally have a story that's worth publishing? The plot and characters are still the 'same', generally, but upgraded every time, fuller, more well-rounded. I also have to literally force myself to stop upgrading the beginning of my story. T.T

Aaaand lookit' that! Mine's done the same thing!
