So, Gaia "banned" all smoking related items and made the rest soulbound... stupid or what? There goes the long drag, cigars, pipes and even those japanese smoky thingys.

Kinda dumb, IMO.

SMOKIN' AIN'T COOL YO. But so many of these people come to this site just to try to make cos-play avatars, and smoking is still cool in japan, ya know. I expect an outroar from the cos-play community, and ya know, I don't even like having these things forced on me. It's pixels, man!

People have actually paid for these item, so I think gaia cannot go and alter them anymore (or they shoudn't at least) but on the other hand, if they leave them, they are just being hypocrite.

Maybe it's all a big joke?

I'm sure it's a stunt for the Great American Smokeout which took place yesterday. The stunt just raised the ire of the community rather than causing the community to applaud Gaia's stunt. I'm sure that the items will be back in the shops by Monday. Unfortunately, now this incident will become a running joke over the years like the "Clementine" incident of a couple years back. Next year people will be saying, Gaia's not taking mah cigs!!!

As a sidenote...I think real life smoking is a horrible habit. I will never smoke a cigarette in real life, but my pixelated man takes no harm from holding a pixelated smoking instrument.

I can't stand smoking, I even make my grandfather smoke his cigars outside, so he just chews them now. XD

I was like WTF?
I was JUST thinking about getting a long drag again.

I think this is stupid, I mean yeah, smoking bad, but it's a Game gaia! Pixels! Who's gonna smoke because their 'pixel' smokes you know? I think this was a really stupid stunt >.<
