Getting slightly defensive now eh? I have people older than you who are emo backing me up.
either they are humoring you or they are just as confused as you are. me and my peeps at the anti-emo guild know more about emo than you and your friends will ever pretend to know. and you are free to try us.

I'm emo, my friends are emo, and are not humoring me. Nor or they confused. You need to come to acception that maybe... Just maybe, you are wrong for once. And you know what? I feel sorry for you. Acception is key to basically everything in life.

and hopefully you end up better than your friends and grow out of it and either become a true emo or just drop it.

I'm a true emo... Can't go any higher than that. And so far, I have ended up better than most of my younger friends... They cut, they have tried to commit suicide, they think that Death Cab for Cutie is emo music.
Hopefully, you grow out of your crude flaming, and become a man. Real men don't hurt peoples feelings.

if i recall you called all these bands emo. that is forever a fail at being emo. you are a pop-punker at best. if you truely want to be better than faux emos, then you must accept yourself for who you are first, cuz as long as you lie to yourself you're no better than them.
in their defense they honestly think they are, cuz they have not been corrected yet. you have been told what emo is, but you still pretend that you are.
