I am freaking out at the moment. I need to take four photos and print them perfectly for my final film project. on top of that, I have to finish my portrait project, and get a ton of work for other classes done. oh, did I mention that the pictures for my final project have to have a theme that everyone in the class must identify with no help from me? yeah, thats part of the grade. sweatdrop And I have no idea what theme to use! *checkes out themed photo challenge* ...halp... crying

Sounds brutal! You could take the easy route and do water, or nature, flowers, random animals. I had to do the same thing, I went with water, it turned out pretty nice. Hope this helps.

Kokihi hmm...there is not much water around here, and almost no photograph able nature...but animals could work...My BF has a couple of photogenic dogs... *hmmmmm....* Oh, but there's no water where I live ether. I set my camera to a high shutter speed and opened up my aperture a little bit. And the I made a make shift studio. I put up a black sheet and got a friend and a bucket of water. Then I had her cup some water and splash it around a bit. I kept changing to diff. color sheets and doing diff. poses with the water. So I got each individual drop let. Make sure your lighting is perfect, film camera are testy and you can't delete and try again. Another project I did was did was a macro project. I got a butch of items that had a tied together theme. I did tea pots and cactus's. Again I made a make-shift studio, and just macroed in at a cool angel. I used a cute sheet that had pokadots on it.

And if they have a nice macro lens for it, it's most likely going to cost an arm and a leg gonk Thank god for digital cameras! whee

Yeah, but I still like doing film
Its a nice stress reliever for me.
I had a day where I was having *cough* woman problems *cough* a dentist appointment to go get fillings, My fish died, and My mom was mad at me for no apparent reason, and after my Film lab, I was happy for the rest of the day. 3nodding

If you don't have a macro lens you can always look in the filter section and see if you can find a macro adapter set. I have one and it's kinda like reading glasses for your lens - helps it focus closer smile good times!
Also, keep an eye out when you visit the second hand store for lenses if your camera is older 4laugh There are plenty for the vintage Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Minoltas!
If you can't do water or nature there's always going with a certain shape - everything round or square, maybe do textures, or everything soft or hard maybe do portraits or everything from a strange point of view! A set of pics from ground level might be interesting smile
I hope that helps! Good Luck!

Thanks! I just now realized that my boyfriend has an insane collection of swords (which are really fun to photograph for me for some reason) so I think Im going to do a roll of swords, then maybe try to do flowers/ landscapes and see if my friend is still available for portraits. xp

Good news! I finally got a time set up with my friend where we can meat up and do a shoot! She is going to dress up in all her little cosplay costumes and I'm bringing my boyfriends arsenal of swords and airsoft guns so she can be demonic with them ^_^
She is incredibly photogenic, and excited to get to play around and dress up again, so it should make my job a little easier. only problems I can see are 1) she is way shorter than me, so I will need to keep kneeling down in order to not shoot down on her 2) the time we can meat is 4:00 and it starts getting really dark really early here 3) I can not control shutter speed on my film camera. Only F/stop, and I still don't know how well that works because there is no visible light meter on the camera 4) um...there are no nice backgrounds to use where I live where it would be OK to swing around 5'10" swords that aren't inside where there is lots of dim dim lighting...
all easily overcome, but still annoying. I'll post the pics here as soon as I get some done. (digital ones anyway, maybe. I'm going to bring all three of my cameras so I can get some digital images for her to.)
