Hello! This is the place to learn about how to create a quest thread, that will catch people's attention, and make you more likely to receive donations. A guide for quest threads, that is much more in depth (and mainly for quests in the main forums of Gaia) can be found HERE.

To make a good quest thread, you need three things: A goal, a way of tracking progress, and determination.
You may also wish to include pictures, banners, reasons why, a list of donators, and/or contests.
A Goal: This can be anything from an item, to a number of items. Some people quest dream avatars, or gold amounts. If you are questing multiple things, then the item you are focusing on should be mentioned somewhere in your first post.
Tracking Progress: There are many ways to do this. Rather than bumping, you may post the amount of gold you have. You may have a quest bar (custom made, or from Tektek.org). You may just write out 500g/6k. However you wish to write out your goal, is up to you. This is another thing you should include in your first post.
Determination: Make people aware that you intend to stay and finish your quest! They are more likely to donate, if you're more likely to stick around.
Pictures and banners, are not required to make a good quest thread. On Gaia, you can use different codes to make what you say, stand out. Give titles and subtitles to sections of your thread using larger font, and colors!
Give a reason why you are questing. Do you just like the item? Do you find it pretty? Were you hacked? Did you sell it? People want to know why they should help you reach your goal.
LIST DONATORS! People want to know, that their little bit of help, no matter how big or small, was appreciated. Request that people do not beg from these people. You may also wish to include what these people gave you.
Contests, are obviously optional. The funds or items you give out for rewards, can always be sold or kept towards your quest. If there is an entry fee, you can make a percentage of profit towards your quest, if your prize is 75% of the total made. Try not to lose gold on these.
You can also add anything else you feel important to your quest thread! If your quest thread is one post, make sure you include your goal, and a way of keeping track. Give a reason, and try to include as much information as possible in that post. DO NOT just post "I want a nitemare scarf" and then have a quest bar. You have not given any reason for them to believe that you are serious and determined to get it. Also try to quest reasonably. If you have only been on Gaia for 2 weeks, and have decided to quest Demonic Horns, people will not take you seriously. If you were to quest a relatively cheap rare, like a Water Meat, or a store item, people will be more likely to help you out.

To all who have their names posted here: Congratulations on completing your quest!
To all others: This section is to celebrate everyone in QBC that has accomplished either a part of their quest, or their entire quest.
Anyone in QBC who finishes their quest, we will throw a party for! If you are questing something small, like Goth Boots, and that's all you wanted.. Then post in this thread, or PM myself or another moderator, and we'll celebrate with you! If you were questing a dream avi, and bought an item worth 200g, well.. you still have the rest of your dream avi. However, if your dream avi has a katana, and you got that - Well good for you! We'll celebrate! And even if the rest of your dream avatar has not been completed, perhaps we'll even donate a bit more to the cause.
However you look at it, we want to celebrate with you. If you feel you've made an accomplishment, let us know, and the party thread will show up for a temporary time only!
