The battle is over...and in the end....Nothing changed, nothing happened. Aside from the fact hat nearly all of Gaia got to see Gino naked. On one hand, it almost actually had a plot. On the other though, Jack negated it all, and since there is no permanent lasting effects of the battle, we're back where we started. Plot less again. Still, I laughed my a** off. It was fun while it lasted. Thoughts?

{{♥ ♠ ♦ ♣}} Heh. So... my "let's just be friends and hold hands" sort of ending was closer then most. I'm hoping because they just knocked heads and flew away that the two will come back at least as smaller characters in the future, I'd love to see them run a shop together.
So I haven't ran around yet, but this would mean that both sides keep/lose their skins? So when we asked the mods [admins?] and they said that one side WILL lose their skins, what happened?
Edit: Oh. Strike that Boo gets to keep their skins. Yey I have another soul-bound item I'm never going to use.

We may be plotless again but at least the end had an interesting twist to it. Lol. I love how Jack just smacked their heads together like they were kids...

I am so ******** pissed at Gaia right now. I was excited about this event. More excited than I've been since the Zurg left. I spent hours and HOURS of my time playing their damn repetietive event because I thought it mattered. I spent REAL money for the first time in months on their CS exclusive event items.
And then...
"LOL ******** u gaiz."
Gaia... you've become a real jerk lately.

That ending killed me a little inside.
Seriously.
Everybody was really pumped and excited.
NOT ******** COOL, GAIA.
And they knew what they were doing. They knew that they were pissing off pretty much everybody that was excited about the event. It was pretty much Gaia saying "******** you" to the GCD.
EDIT: damn, TIM, we have some pretty close opinions.

Should've seen that coming...no way they'd put out a skin that people couldn't even keep.
and TIM, don't feel too bad. I wasted probably $300 before I finally realized how bad Gaia was. That's why I'm not here as much anymore.

It think it is amazing, one of the best endings I could have hoped for.

Both the Overseer and Sentinel are still at large.
Look, the mer-shark-boy is still in our aquariums.
There is still room for stuff to happen.

Ya know...Dalvar's right...Jack didn't say "Now they are powerless" he said "They will be stripped of their powers"...so...hmmm...possibilities...It means, for one, that they won't be demigods anymore, and so quite possible they will be common new NPC's. Also, it has special implications for Jack. If you think about it, the fact that he actually has the power to do that is intruiging. BUT, what if he *doesn't* have the power to do that? In other words, what if it's someone else that manages the powers of Gods and Demi-gods on gaia?

Which, if Jack has that kind of power, that means that Santa is equal to him (referring to the past events), but the Overseer and Sentinel are fairly weak, which I guess is why they needed cults to help them, and Jack / Santa didn't.

It would be awesome if the Overseer and Sentinel became regular NPCs. But I thought I remember someone say that after Halloween, the demi-gods weren't going to be used again, plot-wise. I mean, I hope that they were wrong, but they way it ended could be interpreted that way too. Everything is back to 'normal'.
I agree with Dalvar about the ending too. I figured it would end like that.
I guess the Overseer is too ashamed to return to our tanks =[ Jaws is cool though.

I am glad I stopped messing with the whole thing after a couple days.
I am very irritated with the ending. It basically says we can do whatever we want, because we will act like nothing happened afterwards. Yay us!
Basically a waste of time.

Looking back, it wasn't that bad of an ending. Yes, extremely generic. Yes, no one actually "won" the war. However, it could've been worse.
We could've gone back to Sentinel being trapped in a box again, and the Overseer going back to his aquarium duties. Instead, Jack simply threw them off to some unknown location for the time being. He didn't stuff them back into their prisons, he didn't throw them both in the giant portal.
They're still here, after all. They might very well appear in future events. Perhaps as normal NPCs now, meaning we'll probably be seeing more of them. We now know that the Overseer was only in it to get his powers back, using the war as an excuse for it. He might go off and try again in the future, leading to a larger plot. We might even be seeing more zombie Bruce in the future, for all we know.
This event wasn't much of a let-down, compared to all of the untied ends it left us with. If anything, we should start looking into where all of the ends lead to. It'll at least give us something to do for the month we have until the next event.

The Iron Magus I really don't care how much you rationalize it. My feelings are unchanged. Gaia blue-balled us. While I can't make amends for the money you spent or the anger you're feeling, I wouldn't go as far as to say the event is meaningless. A lot of things are going to remain changed because of this event. Bruce's partner in sports announcements is going to be affected, and our aquariums might not be getting the resident clam back any time soon. Gino's probably never going to live this down, and Jack is now Public Enemy Number One. A lot of things can be taken from this event now. More than what could've been taken if one side had gotten rid of the other. I agree that the ending could've been better, even if they'd kept the stalemate ending. I agree that they could've gone a bit lighter on the "HAHA EVERYONE FAILS" ending. But at least we have something to go on now, rather than waiting a full year for an ending that was whipped up just as fast as the current one, which would look similar or worse than the one we have, possibly even incomplete in general.
