Gift: Tiny Origami. Anybody can do origami, some can do it well, but few do it very
very tiny. Malory often uses needles and a magnifying glass to create her origami masterpieces, and they're every bit as good as the enlarged version...just incredibly small. Through much practice and patience, she's gotten to where she can even create origami of
realistic plants and animals,
complicated abstract sculptures, and
detailed statues, all with a single piece of paper.
To get good at doing it very small, she first has to master the piece at regular size, and slowly reproduce it
smaller, smaller, smaller, and smaller.Virtues:Meticulous - Malory is meticulous in everything she does, whether it's her papercraft, calculus homework, making lunch, or tracking records of sales. She does everything by the book, and is not one for innovation or shortcuts. "If it's not broken, don't fix it" is her way of thinking. She keeps notes on just about anything you
can keep notes on, and has a ridiculous amount of journals filling her bookshelves, all in order of course.
Studious - Malory takes all her subjects seriously (even Physical Education), and anything less than a A is
absolutely unacceptable (one year a teacher gave her a B+, and she got so riled up, he offered her extra credit to increase it to an A ). She devotes a couple hours to study every night beyond the homework she is given, and spends several hours a day studying during the summer vacation (she's already skipped a grade due to this habit). Because she's not naturally gifted with book smarts, she works very hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA.
Flaws: Elitist - Malory looks down on anyone she believes to be "unworthy". Those who are unkempt, dirty, stupid, habitually late, and/or goof-offish are all considered lesser beings. She will ignore them, or treat them like the utter garbage they are. This makes very few people want to befriend her...or even tolerate her, so she can literally count all her friends on one hand.
Obsessive Compulsive - Malory tries to follow patterns in her everyday life, and if something is amiss, it must be fixed,
right now. She doesn't walk on the lines separating the blocks of sidewalk, and has difficulty walking on ornately patterned carpet (for she must either step on a repeating color, or in some form of pattern). She always separates the food on her plate and eats monochromatically, and if anything is moved in her house without prior approval, she can go ballistic. She's also a bit germophobic, and will constantly wash her hands.
Grammar Nazi - Malory is a terrible Grammar Nazi, and will butt in on people's conversations to correct them in proper grammar, and probably lecture them for getting it wrong in the first place. Even using the wrong tense of a word is enough to get her all out of sorts.
