Malory was a bit irritated, though this was nothing unusual. Normally her neighbor's flute playing didn't bother her, but today her ears were especially sensitive to the high notes. It didn't help that she was trying to put together a somewhat complicated
Eastern Dragon, but it seemed each time the higher octaves where hit, it jarred her concentration enough that she, at times, ripped the paper. It was quite frustrating. She decided her only course of action, if she was going to finish tonight, was to move her work elsewhere.
She packed up her paper, reading glasses, magnifying glass stand, and needles and headed to the Study Room. Unfortunately, her own second floor study room was quite occupied, and Malory wasn't up to sharing much space with others, so she headed on up to the third story. She figured that a floor with less occupied rooms would have a less occupied study room, and her assumption proved right.
She headed to the desk with the best lighting, the one in front of the windows. She noticed another girl there, and almost chose another desk to wok at, despite poorer lighting, but as she walked closer she saw the girl doing some sort of sewing work. Malory evaluated the situation and figured someone sewing was not as likely to be a chatterbox and be more focused on her work, meaning that Malory could get her crafting done without any more headaches. She set down her materials on the other side of the long desk, and picked up her 4 needles like dual chopsticks, and began working with the tiny half-finished dragon.
