Have you ever seen amazing mountains that feel so powerful and are still beautiful?

I'm not sure, I've been to different places(not as many as I would like) but I don't remember what the sites we went to were. twisted

I have never seen any mountains but I have been in caves before.

Hmm, I don't know. There was one day I drove home and in the distance I saw, I think it was Mt. Hood. It was so odd, I had driven home so many times that exact same way, but I had never seen it before. I thought that was the oddest thing. I knew a mountain was in that direction, but I didn't think I could see it. I guess it was an exceptionally clear day, so for once I could see farther than usual. I wish I had taken a picture.

Other than that, not really. But then, I live on the side of a very steep hill, i don't know how steep but trucks have gotten stuck on our driveway, and have to basically drive off the hill to get home, so maybe I don't have the same appreciation because for me it is pretty normal.

Have to agree with you on the Adirondacks part, I love it up there. My family owns a cottage, the area is sooo beautiful during the fall.

I used to live in Alberta, right near the Rocky Mountians...those make you feel so small, and some of them, where you are flying over them, look like molars!!! Its so amazing!

Thats where I used to live!!!
My mom told me during the '88 Winter Olympics, they had a Shanook(sp?) come from the mountains, and everyone was wearing shorts and t-shirts during the Bob-sled Races O_O
I would love to camp in the Rockies...man...I need to go back there some day...I miss Calgary

Chanook is closer to the actual spelling. I know it has a ch at the begining but that's all I know. And that wouldn't supprise me. They can make it quite warm during the winter. That's one of the reasons I love living near mountains. Also in the summer you can climb them!
