Hmm, I don't know. There was one day I drove home and in the distance I saw, I think it was Mt. Hood. It was so odd, I had driven home so many times that exact same way, but I had never seen it before. I thought that was the oddest thing. I knew a mountain was in that direction, but I didn't think I could see it. I guess it was an exceptionally clear day, so for once I could see farther than usual. I wish I had taken a picture.
Other than that, not really. But then, I live on the side of a very steep hill, i don't know how steep but trucks have gotten stuck on our driveway, and have to basically drive off the hill to get home, so maybe I don't have the same appreciation because for me it is pretty normal.

Lucky_Tiger I live in Calgary so I get to see the mountain almost everyday. I love them! My family goes camping in the Rockies almost every summer. Thats where I used to live!!! My mom told me during the '88 Winter Olympics, they had a Shanook(sp?) come from the mountains, and everyone was wearing shorts and t-shirts during the Bob-sled Races O_O I would love to camp in the Rockies...man...I need to go back there some day...I miss Calgary

Chanook is closer to the actual spelling. I know it has a ch at the begining but that's all I know. And that wouldn't supprise me. They can make it quite warm during the winter. That's one of the reasons I love living near mountains. Also in the summer you can climb them!
