Ever played a fighting game and said to yourself "If I could be in this game, I would kick so much a**?" Well, here's your chance to take out the competition. Suggested by our lovely Vice Captain RankonNairu, the next avatar arena challenge is characters designed to be in a fighting game.
If you're not a fan of fighters, or you don't play a lot of videogames, and you still want to participate, then you can find various resources all around the internet for common character designs, although I'd suggest just going with your own unique look since they vary depending on the theme of the game and the history of the characters.
Usually the characters will have an alignment of some sort that fleshes out the cheesy and often ignored plots (in favor of the real action, of course!), but we don't require you to choose good, bad, or neutral this time, it just worked a lot better for the superhero theme. With the plots so often ignored, the characters usually have different motives for winning the competition. We'd like you to base any motives that you give your character on the idea of earning several billion dollars for winning the competition, so think up a reason someone would want that much money (charity, domination, achieving a dream, picking themselves up in a collapsed economy, greed, etc.) and apply it to your stories!
Keep in mind that characters in fighting games usually differ in design. Games centered around martial arts will usually feature characters in light clothing so that, realistically, they can move around better, but characters featured in weapons fighters often have armor, capes, and tons of badass accessories. For the sake of simplification, our general theme here is "varied." We can say that everyone was brought into an alternate universe for the entertainment of the residents of that universe so that you aren't restrained to one style.

Fighters from various time periods, styles of fighting, and backgrounds were brought together to fight in a competition for the sake of entertainment to an alternate universe's citizens. As a prize for winning the competition, the fighters are offered a healthy sum of money to do whatever they please with. There are no rules, they can use any weapons or abilities that they like, if any at all, and killing their opponents is fine, although not preferred.
