I ended up going to a Halloween party that is lasting the whole weekend.
Right now I have a few free moments while everyone is at the corner store picking up some items.
So I decided to make a thread on here and see what everyone else is up to before signing off.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to actually go out and buy a costume this year or even get materials to make my own.
So I had to work with clothes I already had.
Because of that I didn't have much to go on since most of my daily clothing is ripped jeans and band t-shirts.
If I had more time I would of loved to create the outfit from Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland.
I would of liked to dress up as the crazy Mad Hatter in Johnny Depp form lol..I find it disturbingly hilarious & creepy.
Not to mention I'm completely obsessed with all types of hats and the Mad Hatters hat is one of the best ever made.
Anyhow a friend of mine gave me the idea to just dress up like Kurt Cobain (The Late Lead Singer // Guitarist // Song Writer Of Nirvana..For Those Living Under A Rock.). Nirvana is my second favorite band and I've never purposely dressed up trying to look exactly like Kurt before. I must say finding the right clothes to pull this off wasn't difficult at all. Since I do love Kurt's quirky sense of style. So I do have a lot of clothes that looks exactly like the clothes he had worn in the past. Only thing is this was the first time I've actually worn them all together to make a complete Kurt Cobain appearance.

The costume check list went as:
-I wore my ripped up jeans with patches on them almost exactly like the ones he's wearing in the photo above only mine are different colored patches but the patches are on both legs and they both start and end at the same length as his do in this photograph.
-I wore my black & white long sleeved shirt which is stretchy and looks exactly the same as the shirt he's wearing in the photograph above.
Luckly we're both really skinny & not very tall so all the clothing fits me the same as well.
-I added my own wallet chain..I'm not sure what is hanging off of his but on mine I have a lot of random things hanging off of my chain from skeleton keys to different items family & friends have given me that meant a lot that I looped onto it.
-I own a pair of black converse which was easy when it came to the shoes.
-I also own two pairs of glasses in the same shape as the ones he's wearing only mine are a white pair and a yellowish orange. He has worn so many different colors of those glasses I can't even keep track of how many pairs he must of had.
For this outfit I ended up using my white glasses since I couldn't find my other ones in time. Besides what he's wearing in that first photograph (MTV Awards show) I also added a hunter's hat I own that has the ear flaps. Kurt was known to wear those types of hats a lot. As I said earlier I've always loved his quirky sense of style so a lot of my clothing is a mix of the same taste. I've always been a big collector in odd hats or odd anything really lol..with that said I have a bunch of hunter hats with ear flaps. So I just picked the closest hat I could find that matched
this hat since I had picked the white glasses which look exactly like the ones he's wearing in this photograph.
With that being the last piece the costume was complete.
The only thing I didn't have was his blonde hair.
And because I didn't have the time to actually go shopping I couldn't pick up a wig.
So I was left with my natural hair which happen to be dark brown//near black.
On the plus side my natural eye color is blue, the front part of my hair cuts off just below my bottom lip and the back part of my hair cuts off an inch or two under my chin//above my shoulders. Which isn't all that much shorter than his was. So atleast I was 2 out of 3 when it came to that.
I took a bunch of photos & will probably be taking more since we have until Monday morning. Once I get it all uploaded to my laptop I might just post a few on here. If anyone else has some photos of their costumes please post it on here. I'd love to see everyone's costumes. If you're afraid of showing your face you can always crop or blur your face out before posting it.
