Evolving items have become the new hit items. They change and evolve in time, and when the item is finally done evolving, there are tons of forms to choose from. They might even have a long background story behind them. And even if you miss it when the item first comes out, you can buy the next generation. Each Friday is an awaited event - what new forms will be whipped up this week?
And of course, this is why they're so very expensive. o.o
Now already 59 (when this thread was made) different evolving items have been released. What is/are your favorite Evolving Item(s), and why?
Which one(s) do you own, which one(s) would you like to have?
Or don't you like evolving items at all?

My favourite ever is probably Picos Urn, just cause its so pretty! And I spent forever saving up for it...
Masquerade probably the most useful cause of the hair and wigs.
And favourite of the moment.. probably The Nightmare? Just cause its sooo varied. Something for everyone there. And lots of different stuff to match.
I tend to buy a first or second gen, then sell em and get the next gen, and so on and so on.
I end up with the last gen, and have to be super-duper patient. But I normally make a fair bit of gold. Which normally goes on more EIs.
I've never spent any IRL moneys on Gaia Cash. But I do the occasional online survey for paypal moneys, which normally goes on Gaia (or body jewellery)
I like them. And they do help keep gaia afloat. So I see why they do them. And now the gold shop items are getting better again, and MCs aren't quite so crappy.. I don't think I have much to complain about?
Though I'd like them 500C ish.

I love Picolitrosso's Urn & Inari's Beads. I own a good majority of the EIs but buying them has never really been a problem for me. I used to just collect them as they came out but now I usually only buy them if I want them specifically to make a avatar.

Picolitrosso's Urn and Reve Rouille are popular with me at the moment.
I'd also fancy having a Hidden Ace, but can't afford it at the moment. P:
But overall, I'd say Pico's Urn is my favorite. <3

I've got a bunch of EIs.I think my favorite is Inari's Beads,but i also currently love the Nightmare and the Gimpi.My first favorite from way back when was the Spore.
I'd rather them than RIGs to make Gaia money.

I like EI's. They have so many forms that they make buying really old MC's for millions sound odd, especially since they only have 1-3 forms. Sometimes it's a little frustrating that they're the easiest to buy with Gaia Cash (instead of gathering all those hundreds of thousands of Gold together), especially since my principal is to not buy any pixels with real money. But Gaia has to make its money somehow to keep up the site, and I don't think this one's a bad idea at all. :3
I bought Inari's Beads as my first EI with I don't remember what gold, but eventually decided to sell it because I was too lazy to match with it - and noticed that with the 360k I made I could get a few more EI's instead! O: After that, and a generous donation from a friend, I started collecting the EI's I like.
I currently own Fallen Wish, Fremere's Guard, Kottan Bell and Seracila Pendant.
Plus Classilke, Masquerade and Yemaya's Pearl, but I bought them just to sell them at a later time.
I think my favorite item is Fallen Wish. I love dragons but hated the Gwee that came out some time ago, so for me, Fallen Wish was the best EI they could have ever come up with. The dragon forms are awesome, but it also fits almost any outfit.
I also like Fremere's Guard. Its goldish yellow is unique but not completely unheard of, so it's very fun to match with. >w<

@ .@; Oh wow. I don't know if I can pick a favorite.
I love EIs that offer skins, wigs and contacts. I just wish that those skins, wigs and contacts didn't cost 499c, 749c or 999c. :B
I guess my current favorite would have to be the masquerade. I can add the masquerade to almost all of the outfits I make. I mostly like it for the makeup, freckles and bangs.

i find it...well..not just the best EI but the best item all over gaia..
it has a little for everyone,
so many colors...eyes, wigs, wings, dresses, plushies..skins...
i mean @_@..!
i can combine it with most of my avatars ..
hum...
2nd place..?
probably the masquerade..i'm poor and so i don't have it..
but if i did...i'd wear it aaaaalll the time..

I think the gogh reed is an awesome item. I just don't think it's as great as people say it is.
Yes it has tons of poses. Yes it has a little something for everyone.
But ethe colors it all so well that it makes a lot of the poses hard to match. Some of her poses are easy to match, but a lot of them are full of lots of colors. x ____x;
For a 999 EI it's great. It gave contacts, skins, eyes, "i am", buddy poses, plushies, clothing, wings... It gave us everything we want. It's just so so so so colorful. D; It's too beautiful.
And I wish she gave us some of the same poses, but in different colors just like DrinkyTengu likes to do. > <

I absolutely adore Kottan Bell!
I find it adorable, and I think it was meant for a Lolita style...I love Lolita. xD
I guess a second favorite would be...Hermes Moon. It could match with any color (Any color + gold).
I especially love the Hermes Moon Autumni (Sash).
Finally, I love Diapered Egg...I find all of the ribbons so cute. :3

I think Seracila Pendant is starting to look really promising. It looks as if it features a few parts of an outfit from one planet on each update - at least the names refer to something like that. Plus, all the forms have been fun and easy to match with so far.
In the end it will have a bunch different-colored forms to be used in avatars! ^___^ -excited-

I have to say my favorite is the Urn. It can be used in almost every classy avatar.
Other good ones:
Gogh Reed - A lot of variety, in color and in style, but a lot of things are limited by theme.
Masquerade - Gaia needed an item that gave us a lot more variety for our faces, then came this.

Gogh reed: it has a lot of eyes and a bit of everything,very interesting in the time of match.
picolitrosso's urn: i bought it recently and i think my avis looks way better now,is so elegant and have lots of colors on it wich are incredibly awesome.
i have lots more but not to mention them by now >.<

I LOVE evolving items, Lyndexer's journal would be my favourite because of it's green/blue/brown colour scheme and it's overall classiness. heart
But I can't afford any evolving items. D:
