I'm pretty sure, but it might only work for a skilled waterbender, since it's inside the rock, you know?

There's no H2O in rocks. Just minerals. The water breaking down rocks you mentioned is when it seeps into cracks between rocks, freezes, and expands, causing the rocks to break (a form of erosion, no?) So, no, Katara cannot "earthbend".

But it is possiable to have water inside the rock, or surrounding. Thus, the water carring/picking up (with) the rock. Sorry...I have not watched ATLA as much and as details as you guys. I'm just having a go at it.

Unless she only picks up the water. Like, if its on/under/around it, it just comes and collects...

Mang, even if what you said was even remotely correct or plausible (no water in rocks, we've been over this), she would merely bend the water in the rock, not the rock itself, and would therefore not be able to "earthbend" in the way that Toph can, i.e. changing shape and size, etc.

She could probably use waterbending to carve out the rock, in the way the Grand Canyon was made. It would take a long time though...

Y'know, Lilly, my brother said the same exact thing. Odd.
Anyway! Why would Katara want to "earthbend" when she's a very talented waterbender? Taking the time to try and "earthbend" would be inefficient and inaffective. Besides, Toph would be like, "Leave the rock-moving to me, honey."

Not one thing. In fact we all agree with you to some extent. Basically, leave your drama out of my guild. Learn to take argument. This is a discussion guild, this is what we're doing, discussing. If you can't handle mature discussion, then maybe you should leave. But if you can act civil, then by all means stay. It's just disagreement, and it's not even inflammatory at any level. No one was attacking you, stop acting like we were.

Lilly, I apologize for upsetting you. Perhaps my post came off as a bit snappy; I tend to do that, even when I type.

This kinda got me thinking. What if it was mud? Do you think that Katara would be able to control that? Or has she already. Or would that fall into Tophs region of control. It has been awhile since I saw any of the older episodes.

She did in the episode The Blind Bandit. Her and Toph both controlled it. As well they both controlled the wall-sludge in the episode The Drill.
