See, I want to join the Army National Guard when I get out of high school. But I have no military experience. No military base, no military family, no JROTC at my school...No Rifle Team, nothing.
(But there IS an Army Captain who lives in my town but I never met him!!!)
I'm afraid that the recruiter will ask me if I have military experience or background...
My granfather was a Marine from 21-24, and I have a deceased relative who I barely knew...At his funeral there was a Marine Corps. flag, so I didn't find out he was in service until his death. Since them, no one has served in the military.
So I only have 2 former Marines in my family: One who dropped out, and one who died.
I'm so worried if the recruiter won't accept me.

I've had a few uncles in the Navy, and later in the National Guard. One of their sons, a cousin I grew up with, just joined the Air Force. I myself haven't really expressed an interest in joining, but it's looking better by the day.
Anyway, back to my point; The U.S. armed forces aren't too picky right now. I even had a Marine recruiter bugging me, and I'm one of the least athletic guys I know. With a war going on, they're looking for all the help they can get, so go ahead and sign up.

I don't see a reason why you couldn't join. The army just wants someone who would be helpful. Plus, you're from the USA, and they constantly have some seriously dumb war, so I really don't see a reason why they wouldn't take another person.
