I didn't take any pictures of it, but one time while playing Shoot the Bullet EX-1 (Flandre's Taboo 'Forbidden Fruit'), it messed up somehow and instead of Flandre, Mokou was in the center of the screen, and the stage select music was playing. The danmaku was exactly how it should be though. Ironically, this was also the first time I managed to capture said spellcard. X3

MidBossVyers Who is the nut bag who wrote this? He signed the picture at the bottom right corner. xp I found this one on 4chan's /jp/. Although he/she swears a lot and exaggerates things, it's true that Yukari is way too overpowered. Nue Houjuu What the hell does Byakuren have to do with anything? Hahahahah. Nothing, I guess.

Well, yes, Yukari is clearly OPd, but I don't think she's nearly as OP'd as he makes her out to be.
If she were, you would never defeat her in PCB. She'd just use her power to bypass Spell card rules in some way and lay you out.
I'm sure there is some sort of limitation on her powers. Not many, by any means, but some.

Anaberal If she were, you would never defeat her in PCB. The reasons you can defeat her in PCB are: a- because ZUN is not an idiot and knows the game must be beatable somehow; and b- because the real battle potential of all Touhoes is limited by the spell card dueling system. Anaberal She'd just use her power to bypass Spell card rules in some way and lay you out. What I said before. Spell card rules are just a common "ritual" between the Gensokyo residents so they can lay battle without actually killing each other. I'll quote Hieda no Akyuu: "As it would be dangerous for any youkai to defeat the Hakurei shrine maiden, many youkai felt that their existences had become meaningless; thus, the Spell Card rules were introduced. The Spell Card rules allow both parties to show off their skills in a beautiful display of dueling power. [...] Following these rules allows for conflict resolution dueling which is almost like a sports event. With the introduction of these rules, it became possible for even relatively weak humans to challenge youkai. At the same time, it became possible for youkai to safely defeat the shrine maiden without worrying about the consequences."

I'm pretty sure they CHOOSE the use spellcard rules in-game.
If Yukari really wanted to kill you, she would.
But Yukari's abilities still probably have limitations. Or at the very least, she can't use them all properly.

Kind of amusing, but stupid none the less.
And yeah, the Spell Card rules exist to resolve conflicts non-lethally.
But Yukari, if she was really as OPd as they claim, could mess with the border of fact and fiction, and make it so that the Border wouldn't collapse if Reimu died, so that she could safely kill Reimu.
So yes, if she were THAT OPd, she would not be beatable.
But yes, ZUN is not an idiot. He makes her beatable. As such, logic assumes that she is in fact NOT as OPd as those articles claim.
