Okay well I was elected president of the environmental club at my HS. As the president I need to plan out meetings. Now I understand we can do things like tree plantings and such BUT we can't do those at out school meetings.
I need ideas for meetings!!!!!!!! Like activities we can do in about an hour span, and will attract potentially new members. And what types of things do you guys reccomend I plan for us to do? And anything we do for fundraising has to be done afterschool(during our club meetings... we're not allowed to sell ANYTHING at lunch, whether it be baked goods, candy, jewelry, etc.(yet SGA can sell school dance tickets... go figure... >_>)
I've already gotten a suggestion that we make more recycling bins for our cafeteria.
I also need to get a bunch of people's contact info, and this meeting, I'm planning on speaking about animal rights and veganism because I'm kinda at a loss(I know factory farming is bad for the environment) and I can't think of anything better to do right now(hence this post). Not to mention over half the members are vegetarians.
My other idea is to ask everyone find one person that is famous(think celebrity or person who's work is well known) and is also super green. But that would make it seem like homework and may scare off some people. crying
SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I would definitely recommend a little time for brainstorming ideas for fundraisers and what to do with the money once you get it. And if not everyone knows each other yet, a few "icebreaker" games could potentially be a good way to use time.

I'm part of our school's e-club as well. We really need ideas considering mostly everyone in the school knows us as the "recycling club," because that's mainly what we do every time we have a meeting. So any ideas would be great. (I've been thinking of introducing the recycled paper bead bracelets to the club to sell at school as a fundraiser, but I'm thinking they might take a while to make. Plus, if you raise enough money, you could donate it to an environmental organization or charity!) ^_^

You can still make one, just don't meet at the school. blaugh Some friends and i are making an animal rights club but since a few of the potential members are in COLLEGE it'd be kinda hard to make it an HS club. lol.
