Are you going to try for this next step?
I'm actually already somewhat brainstorming for a layout that would be able to hold most of the information our profiles already have while also moving things around to particular positions, but that would take for quite a bit of time on my part so maybe not until Christmas break.
Anyway, have you re-considered your layout despite the time you've spent on it just to answer to Jakobo's "challenge"? It technically was his first before TriskDaemon's 3nodding

I wanted to do that from when Jakobo first changed his profile whee I have a few ideas in mind, but they require a lot of vector work and I haven't gotten around to it yet.
I think people need to be careful with those kinds of layouts though - with the way some people have positioned elements the page becomes somewhat cluttered and disorganised, and it takes that little bit of extra effort to find things. I think its important to not just jump on this new trend to show of your mad coding skillz, but actually think about the design and useability of your profile and keep them in mind.

I've had two separate profiles he added.
Unfortunately, I had to make a decision to take down my profile for now.
No need for a reason. Really.
Anyways. I'm more than happy to do code for someone if they have any problems.
You may have to PM me, I haven't been around too often lately.
As for Chisa's comment:
My first profile was a really good example of just dumping everything on.
The second I more focused on the actual design elements.
I definitely support the idea!

I've been designing a single theme for three weeks now. I'm only keeping the header, the about, and the comment section, really...
It's not even going to really be a profile anymore... just something clean. The elements that Jakobo has in his profile are so streamlined that it's almost scary.
Anyway, I would love to be recognized by Jakobo when I finish this theme. I might make it a goal of mine. :3
(And of course, my current profile is just a test. It's not at all a reflection of what I can actually do.) XP

Hrmm... personally I think Jakabo's layout is a little too clean and streamlined... its a very web developer type design.
@Che: Your first profile wasn't too bad, just a little haphazard, I think. Your second one was beautiful and user friendly, it's sad you took it down sad

Ugh.
I want to learn how to move the sections around.
I've basically taught myself everything from the beginning, so I was trying to teach myself how to move the sections around, too.
It's really hard to figure out... >.o
Oh well.
When I have more, when I have more time...
I would say this weekend, but I'm not sure.
I have... Like... A few different layouts that I need to finish for people.
I really need to stop volunteering to make profiles. xD
But I love it so much. <3

I'm really too lazy to get too creative. Plus, for some reason, I seem to have issues with editing divs inside divs. Like, I can't seem to get anything inside #sidebar to do what I'd like to do, because of the fact that it's in #sidebar. If they were all just free and floaty, oh, the things I could do. sad

I moved my comments and made the space for them larger...and that's about it xd What I really want is for my signature to be below my comments and the two of them to be centered in the #content area but for some reason , when I added a scrollbar to my comments section to reduce space they want to sit on top of my sig unless I code them to the bottom of the page. Unfortunately that puts them below the footer rolleyes

I only just got ot grips with my current profile and I was completely new to CSS when I started so I think that Jakobo's challenge can sail riiiight on by me. xDD I like mine as it is. Just a few areas to clean up and then I will leave it alone.
