Can anyone confirm for me if you keep a pokemon from evolving (to learn certain moves faster), but evolve it later, will it automatically adjust the stats to what they should be for the new form? I know I've seen some significant power jumps in evolutions, I was wondering if this would be the same case.

Is this what you meant?

"If I delay the evolution of a pokemon, will it still get a stat boost when it evolves later?"

If so, then yes. Some people stop the evolution of their pokemon in order to wait for it to learn certain moves. 3nodding (I think this method is obsolete though, considering the existence of the move re-learner...)

Actually, yes that is what I was asking.

Also, it is more important because I want my oddish to learn (whatever move it was that i wanted it to learn) and then go straight to gloom and then bellossom (or Vileploom, I actually haven't decided yet. It basically goes down to either special attack or special defense). In this scenario, it's actually beneficial to wait then.

Also, I don't have the time to spend in the underground getting heart scales for that fatty

Yeah. It's fine, you should be able to wait.

Also I think you get free heart scales from some guy who runs a newspaper in Solaceon town?

I'd serebii it, just in case.

Yeah, you can. He asks you to bring him a certain Pokémon, the pool from which he chooses is all of your Seen Pokémon in the Pokédex. It's a bit of a pain, though.

I have a few heart scales, but I save them for moves that you can't get any other way (like giving Medicham Ice Punch), because they decided to slip some secret moves into some pokemon's move sets. I just hate going into the underground.

Also, my pokemon breeding is taking up most of my time, so I have a feeling I'm going to be leveling up quite a few pokemon... Although I generally get lazy and slap an exp share on it and run through the elite four

Oh, and while I'm at it, I know this isn't an evolution question, but can a flying pokemon by hit by earthquake if they use dig? I've always wondered this, but never got a chance to try it out (and yes, I have a flying pokemon that knows dig, it's not just conjecture)

If you're referring to Flygon, it is (brokenly) immune to Earthquake, even while underground.

On a different note: Several pokemon only learn moves IF they don't evolve. Bulbasaur, for instance, learns Seed Bomb... at level thirty-seven, past the point at which it can evolve fully to Venusaur. Another consideration to make is that Heart scales only work on moves that occur naturally in a Pokemon's movepool. You won't be able to recover TMs with it, and you assuredly can't learn hidden tricks like that one unless you get it and keep it prior to and throughout evolution.

Just as an example, Trapinch originally learned Dig well past its evolutionary level--only for its higher forms to never receive it. For an alternative case, consider Ninjask, whose lower form gets MUCH different moves.

Of course, I'm someone who keeps a level 100 meowth around, so what do I know?

No, and it pisses me off. stressed

Charizard can know dig. And cannot be hit by Earthquake while using it, which is completely ridiculous, IMO...

Also, I train up Pokemon via the delay method all the time. If a Pokemon only learns something before it evolves, or sooner. *shrug*
