I vaguely remember having a discussion with Arbo about America being sadly lacking in bakeries. I hope I'm not making that up or generalising, but it stuck in my mind because I was shocked and horrified. Almost every small town here has a bakery.
gonk I know, because when we go on holidays we always stop off at them for a meat pie or sausage roll and a cake. The vanilla slice is an Aussie favourite...
Anyway, we have a bakery about street away from my house so on weekends we often buy rolls or croissants for lunch. My parents like sourdough but I'm not really a fan. For toast and stuff we just buy bread from the supermarket... I like multigrain, usually.
And subway bread is crap.
mad I'm not reaaaally a fan of bread from Asian bakeries like
Bread Top. It's too light and they often put that sweet glaze on the top.
Sorry... I suppose I'm also quite passionate about bread.
sad This probably also explains why I eat too much carbs. >.>
