As many of us have Candidate characters who grew up in or near High Reaches, it makes sense that many of these characters would know each other, or at least know of each other. Presumably, unless your Candidate exists in a vacuum or never leaves their room, they will at least recognize faces.

This thread is for people who have a High Reaches character, especially Weyrbrats or those who've been around for a few Turns, to plot pre-existing relationships. It would probably be helpful if you would post a link to your character's profile, and/or a list of minor facts you don't mind people assuming knowledge of IC. For instance, if your character is an infamous flirt, or has a particularly good or bad reputation around the Weyr.

I have three characters at High Reaches at this point, and they're all related.

+ A'ram is a retired wingrider who made his way north from Igen before being Searched. He has very traditional ideas about what is and isn't proper. His dragon is a brown named Rath, who is much like A'ram, but in dragon form.

+ Tanda is A'ram's younger granddaughter. She has never stood at a hatching, but is more than content to work in the creche. She loves children and more than anything else wants to have children of her own. She tends to sleep around a lot toward that end.

+ B'shir is A'ram's only grandson. He grew up in the Weyr and spent his entire young life training with his grandfather to be a dragonrider. He has no facial expressions whatsoever, but he's not emotionally stunted, evidently, as he Impressed bronze Sakneth at the last hatching.

Rieta grew up in the Weyr and spent a lot of the time in the kitchens (so I'm sure she'll recognize Kamihan). She's seventeen and has been away from the Weyr working as an apprentice in the farmercraft for the last four years.

It's worth noting that while she left quiet and rather withdrawn and shy, she's returned friendly, loud, and overbearing. Those who knew her previously will likely notice this fact.

Amoreth has aged eighteen Turns and has lived in the Weyr all her life. She's not really well-known, but the things that can be noted about her are that she's quick to stand up for people being picked on or shunned, and she's a talented artist and writer who is always in search of inspiration.
She visits every place in the vicinity and in the close ranges outside of the Weyr as often as possible, constantly on her search for new luster to draw and write. Amo will sit in one place for a while and study the surroundings and people there if she does get inspired, taking to visiting that single location for days until the muse has left her and she is forced to 'migrate' to a new location.
She's happy to engage in conversation with acquaintances and strangers, and since she travels all over the Weyr, it's unlikely that she hasn't seen everyone there at least once before. Whether she actually fully greeted them or not is another story entirely!

It'd be nice for her to have a true friend or two that she's been close to for most of her lifetime, as she has a plethora of acquaintances, but no honest friends yet. You know, someone to count on in a messy situation.

Leicha is a Weyrbrat of 19 turns, and has spent pretty much all of his life running around and causing strife. He didn't spend any of this time in any particular location, so if people know of him through gossip it's alright.

If not, he's actually not that bad to be around and has a rough around the edges kind of feel, though he's friendly enough. Just don't make him upset.

I'd like to have someone be a member of the old group he used to hang out with, even more so if it was someone who around during the time he got injured and suffered a personality change =)

Janga the Terrible has been one of the chief Weyr bullies since she was twelve. She's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she's good at using her size to her advantage. Chances are the majority of the Weyrbrats would know her, as she does push people around/steal their lunch money/etc. She also enjoys playing Hall Monitor and tattling.

Need an enemy? She's your girl. XD I'm also open to other weyrbrats who are willing to work with her as part of her little bully group (they'd get part of the spoils as well as a rep) or even people who could potentially be part of her very, very small circle of friends. Feel free to hit me up in thread or via PM if you've got any ideas!

Kaliska is a high reaches weyrbrat raised by a healer.
