History: Amoreth is the unplanned result of a mating flight, like so many of her kindred. Even though she was an accident, her mother Celesti, rider of Green Slenath, accepted the pregnancy as a twist of fate in her favor, and had the girl-child without complications. Her name comes from her grandmother's Dragon, as a tribute to the memory of the dead pair. Amo's mother likes to keep in touch with her only daughter, allowing her to frequently visit herself and her Draconian lifemate.
Amoreth's childhood as a Weyrbrat is riddled with days looking to the skies, watching enviously as Dragon and Rider soared together over the grounds of Pern. She was raised with another gaggle of Weyrbrats like herself, looking to her mother, her mother's Green lifemate Slenath, and others of her age group as family. Amo was brought up to be strong and to defend those she held dear, her innate commanding presence serving to stamp her place as one of the “lead” children, one that the others could go to for help and a friendly shoulder if needed. Amoreth learned relatively early on to take care of herself, and in her free time became quite fond of drawing and painting.
She has never strolled in the shadow of others, and though she is usually quiet and observant, she always keeps that certain air of regal leadership about herself that makes her seem older and wiser than she is. Her ultimate goal in life has been, and will always be, soaring high above the land in mastery of the skies on the back of a Dragon lifemate.
Appearance: In terms of appearance, Amoreth is irrefutably comely, scented like succulent berries from the thick-oil she applies to her skin daily to keep it as supple and soft as possible. Her figure, standing at 5'0" in height and almost fully developed given her age, follows the shape of an hourglass with voluptuous curves and smooth lines, though she has more weight on her than the average lady her age. Her eyes are almond-shaped and are evenly spaced apart from each other, adorned with dark, long eyelashes. Emerald shades her irises, with both dark and light green flecks dusting their depths, her pupils nicely-rounded with as clear vision as one could have. She has a beautiful tress of soft, silky, brown hair that cascades down her back and ends at her buttocks. She usually keeps her hair tucked behind her ears, but a lock on each side usually finds the way out of its position to slide over her shoulder and rest on her front.
Her most notable feature-flaw is a jagged scar stretching across her nose that she received from unknown means when she was younger and less cautious with her roughhousing.
Amoreth’s garb remains simple yet elegant, often sporting self-tailored pieces as the tastes of others tend to not match her own. She prefers fitted tunics, though will happily dress in more risqué styles if she deems the day worthy of such things. Most often, however, she can be seen wearing a green tunic with a large triangle cut out of the bust, the slice following upward to remove the material in a diamond shape before it cross-laces at her neck. Over the tunic, she wears a halter-type jacket more for style than functionality. The coat closes slightly to the side on her front, the collar having a lovely little self-added pattern it follows. Accessory-wise, Amoreth has brown, fingerless gloves that extend to her elbows. Her boots are of the same color, made out of leather with the same pattern as her jacket’s collar at her knees, and they cross-lace up the fronts. Also, simple, dark green stockings, and a brown leather belt that has an eye-shaped silver buckle complete the ensemble with the addition of the pouch upon her belt used carry her art and writing supplies as well as other various items. Most of the time, she wears a necklace that bears a malachite stone cut in an upside-down triangle shape, the pendant dangling just below her collar bone from its simple black string.
Personality: Amoreth is a willful young woman with an extraordinary amount of patience and tolerance—very rarely does she lose her temper. She is quick to assume things, but fortunately, her luck holds in that she has a knack for assuming correctly. She is astute and intelligent, charismatic while remaining eloquent. Her courage is known amongst fellow Weyrbrats, as she is always the first to the sides of those that need help or assistance, particularly the younger age group that receives the most torment from older children. Amo is always willing to volunteer her services where requested or required; loyalty to those above her in station and those close to her heart, her love of leadership, and her insatiable lust for learning all have unprecedented dominance over her mind. Having a well-developed sensitivity to beauty, especially art of any form, she is a budding artist and writer and can, at any given time, frequently be found drawing or writing. She’s well-mannered and pleasant to others, perhaps a bit coy, and overall pleasing to be around, with her dashing sense and display of spirited style and self-confidence. Her headstrong behavior causes a stroke of stubbornness inside her, though she hardly ever questions authority. The girl is cunning and quick-witted, but has a few faults verbally. Her necessity to articulate herself as intelligently as possible leads to her often speaking before truly thinking out what she says—this makes her stutter occasionally, having to stop mid-sentence to try to find the words she was going to use. Given her bright and brave personality, she is still young and naive, and she thus places a high value on personal freedom. Her fortitude and virtue remain unchallenged in their prominence, but her ultimate downfall is her youth and lack of experience.
