sweatdrop Only station I get is our local college station, which I get to do techno shows on Monday nights for. Closest thing we have to talk shows is two sports broadcasters and a paranormal late at night on Saturdays. Our student station manager thinks it scares off most of his sane listeners since his show goes on after it.

I can't speak for american, but all the canadian stations are too local to have big name hosts. The morning show hosts are usually pretty funny and interesting, but only because theyre absurd; none of them are really stand-up material.

We have some big name radio hosts but most of them are controversial at best and hated at worst. People like Howard Stern and Rush Limbaugh are famous, but not for good reason. I used to wake up to Rush in the morning my freshman year because he could always inspire me to get out of bed and shut him up.

Most radio personalities aren't actually that funny in Florida. They mostly have either good voices or interesting personalities. More comedy would make me listen to the radio more. 3nodding

Everybody LOVES Hamish and Andy (two radio hosts) and I listened to them every day when they first started out. They were fresh, funny and they seemed like nice guys - they aren't shock jocks. But I don't really listen to them anymore because their stunts are increasingly absurd and not really funny... I suppose it reflects Australia's size. Breakfast radio tends to be local but afternoon/night shows are much more likely to be nationally syndicated.

Haha! Ryan Seacrest, the guy who tried to high five a blind person? Hell no. I don't think anybody should be or would want to be compared to him. >.>
I like the radio hosts where I live, they're fairly enjoyable.

I think the funny part about radio show hosts is the one station that plays all the music I just don't like (can tolerate, but don't like) has the bestest hosts ever. They're funny and interesting and etc. But the music... eh.

i used to really like Rick Dees
he had live interviews with people like the Plain White Tees, and Pink
he treated all his guests really well, too.
but our cheap local station took him off, and put on boring old Casey Kasem.
we don't have tv, so i listen to a lot of radio.

Pink is really popular in Australia. She actually set a record - she had 15 shows in my city during her tour here this year.

The Electronica folder on the station's computer is...maybe 20 songs total? I have to pull from the Dance folder...which is riddled with non-techno remixes meant for dance floors. I've been hitting and missing over the past few weeks with songs. xp It's...fun. sweatdrop I did finally talk over air this Monday though. Been putting off doing that half the semester. redface
