Collar Removal Story
Venus had been on her own for some time now. She was still heavily dependent on the kindness of her friends but was finally learning to survive in the wild. She missed her owner terribly, but she knew if she was really going to make it out here she was going to have to shead her old life completely and soon.

It was starting to get dark out, the sun was setting and the sky was a blaze with colors. Reds, pinks, purples, and oranges she had watched many sunsets from the comfort of her humans warm lap. She held her paw to her collar, all the memories flooded back and a tear rolled down her cheek. "It is time to say good bye"

She laid down and used her hind legs to push her dainty pink collar over her head. It came off smoothly in one motion. But as soon as it had left her neck she began to sob. She mourned the life she had before she ran off. She had lived in the lap of luxury every need and whim was met instantly. Now she would have to go it alone.

She picked up the collar and put it in the box she had been sleeping in. "I can't give up my collar totally just yet, Purrhaps just not wearing it will be enough for now." She whipped the tears from her face and went to join her friends in her new life.
