Alright, just post anykind of poetry, made up pokemon or real, doesn't matter. as long as its poetry! biggrin Now for my 1st entry, I have a female mightyena, who WAS leader of her pack. the other is about these two serpentine dragon pokemon I made up when I was little, so I decided to write about them. Enjoy! Rtemis out!
Wolfsong
Far away, on a mountain, an untame sound, a song plays. One of joy, fear, defeat, triumph, anger, despair, determination, hardships, peace, war, life. The song fills the sky, her story, of leadership and exile. She howls in pain, wanting the harships to evaporate. wanting the happy times, to come back. Far away, on a mountain, at the peak, the lone figure, howls her song, her story, her life, her wolfsong.
The Sky Dancers
Flying, gracefully, with very fluid movements. As one, they dance, neither faltering, nor flinching. A song without words. They ebb and flow. The ultimate ballet. Their dragon dance. Across the sky, the dancers' finale. a soft, whispering breeze. They both corkscrew upward, and one falls, dropping, down, closer to earth, but, the other dives down, faster, further, and catches the other. Then they bow.
Watcha think?

PIRATES FTW 3nodding lol
for the first poem I really like the imagery of an "untame sound" it's a great sort of phrase to prepare the reader for the entire "story" of emotions the mightyena had. D: if that at all made sense
For the second poem - the imagery here was good too - the images of fluid graceful dancers - you can see giant serpents flying through the air like ballet dancers or with the line "ebb and flow" like waves in the sky X3 It's great. And then it ends with a bow - like a courteous dancer would - even after it stumbled and nearly fell

The sky dancers one is actually a shaped poem- it was supposed to be that there would be a longer line, then a shorter line, so that it creates an intertwined feeling. mrgreen

Now that I look at it again, the dragon one does remind me of a spiral : D

I've got another one! This one is hot off the press- It is about a wood sprite and how her home was threatened- the name is coincidence to wolfsong k?
Woodsong
Running in the woods, a sprite of nature, is free. She soars with the birds, She swims with the fish, She sprints with the deer, She sunbathes with the flowers. One with nature, she has conversations, with catapillars, whoos with the owls, and dancees in the blossoms of cherry. She can speak their ancient language, of course. One day though, a little birdy told her, that humans wanted, to tear down their home. She rallied the creatures of their home, and made a circle around the forest, locked hand and hand, and moved their forest, to a fantasy world, the wood sprite though, heavily drained of energy, decided her time was up. With a smile and a wave, She closed her eyes, and reached her arms, towards the sky, Her legs and feet, became roots, her body, grew larger, and became a trunk. Her arms and head, branched out, and she looked like, at the time, an upside down tree. Then from her branches, cherry blossoms appeared, with a light breeze gusting, and the forest was covered, as a gift, with the fragrace, and beauty, of the way trees, sing and dance, even though she was chained, and no longer free, she gifted her friends, of sky, of land, of water, of green, with protection, and woodsong.

Sorry it took me so long to muster up a reply sweatdrop I've been busy.
@ woodsong - I liked it. It had a really nice flow to it. I really liked reading it, because it brought my imagination to see a nymph and her forest and all the things that went about. It was nice to see a theme that spoke to me C:

I know this sounds Teacher's pet-ish, but I was really bored, and it came out nice with all the ryhmes:
Why should I pay attention in math class? well here's why:
Numbers, numbers everywhere! Numbers here and numbers there! Fractions took the pizza shop! Number grids at the photo shop! (Red eye, edit, cut, and crop!) Pi is at the pastry store, Circumference, area and so much more! Multiplication at the construction site, Measuring volume day and night! Negatives at the weather station, and scientists looking for relation. The tennis player uses angles, The rancher plots points and wrangles. Economists study and estimates, The internet gets your credit score and rates! All around the world you see, Math is helping you and me, So go tell ev’ry one you meet, How math is such a wonderful treat!
well....I got a little off constantness, but hey, it Ryh-mes!
