Lerato popped his head in gingerly so he could look around the massive room. "I don't think I've ever seen a Captains Meeting this empty before." He whispered to himself, opening the door a few inches more so he could slide the rest of his body in. The soft pitter-patter of his gentle feet hitting the ground vibrated off of the walls, revealing all too well just how empty the Soul Society had been lately. After taking his place near the front of the room as he always did he sat down and laid Kago over his legs. The silence enveloped him, the only sound in the massive room was his steady breathing and the soft, thought provoking song that his zanpukato sang constantly. "It's odd, isn't it?" The question was directed towards Kago, though it wouldn't appear that way if anyone were to walk in.

As he arrived Kusari marveled at his accomplishment of only stumbling a few times while flash stepping her from the North Gate. He gave a quick bow and without a word took his place behind his captains spot hoping she had awoken from her nap to come to the meeting out of fear of having to take her place. These people had become fragments of their former selves in the light of this latest tragedy as they strived to take their seat at the top. These men were acting like savages, and their war was beginning to impact the other squads members.

Appearing at the head of a specially made, 26 seated table, Mikhail stood silently and rapped lightly upon its polished oak surface, his grim expression reflecting on the immaculate wood. Attempting to catch the attention of the two present, he spoked towards the Taichou of Squad 1 and the Lieutenant of Squad 13 (you have a new Captain now BTW). "Take a seat, the chairs are marked and run in numerical order." Assuming the seat of the Sou-Taichou, Mikhail not only assumed control of the Gotei 13 but also of all its current issues, members and damage. Hovering above the cushion for but a moment, he allowed himself to take his place amoungst a long line of arguably the most powerful men and women ever to live.
Its a firt amoung many. Not only did his seating symbolize a new unification of Shinigami but it also described a new line of Vizard Captains. No long shall I hide. I am no longer a freak or an outcast. I now lead the very people that casted me aside. But the past is but the past and we have a long foggy future ahead of us. Closing his eyes to calm his thoughts, Mikhail exhaled. Over the past few months he'd done a lot of growing up. No longer the young impulsive Captain, Mikhail become far more wise in the last week then he could have in his entire life. The civil war had taken its toll on him just as he assumed it had the other Shinigmai.

Kusari found his seat at the table which was most unfortunately as far from Captain Bolshevik as possible. He sat down and observed who his company would be. Twelvth squad was fine, at least they could hold an intelligent conversation, which couldn't be said of eleventh squad. All the more reason to hope his captain would show up relatively soon. Tenth squad were some of his favorite people, but he would have liked being near the sixth squad to hear some of their escapades, even if it meant being near that rude captain from squad eight. Kusari glared at the spot where the man would be sitting with complete and udder disgust at the man's actions previously that morning. He sat patiently giving his infamous smile to the two captains before remembering some of them asking him to never smile again at the last meeting he had been to and quickly closing his mouth before focusing his attention to a single plank on the wall ahead of him.

A Captain's Meeting at this time wouldn't have came perfectly for Ntozake. The Head Researcher just hummed a small tune as her obsidian stilettos announced her arrival in the meeting hall. Behind her thin framed glasses, her hazel eyes glanced at the others in the meeting hall. She studied each face until her orbs landed on Mikhail, whom was sitting in the seat of the Sou-Taichou. A look of confusion flickered across her face, wondering as to why he was sitting there but it was only for a moment. Ntozake was sure that things would be explained later on, so she didn't ponder it. With this meeting, she hoped that the other Captain's can actually control themselves and not act like idiots. Since there was so much pandemonium now, she knew she had to expect the worse. Running a hand through her dark dreadlocks, the woman let out a small sigh. Not so silently, Ntozake walked off over to her seat and sat down. "Sawubona...," Ntozake whispered in her native tongue to the male whom assumed the seat next to her as she sat down. Just a simple hello, nothing more than that. The Captain just sat there quietly, waiting for the other Captain's to arrive.

Lerato nodded, sliding into the nearest Captain's seat to Mikhail. Throwing his leg over his opposite knee he waited for more instruction. "Good Evening, Commander." He smiled, giving Mikhail a brief nod of acknowledgement. Looking around at the others he gave them all nod in turn, eyes locking for only a moment on the Lieutenant of Squad Thirteen. 'Damn that boy has a creepy smile..' He thought to himself, shaking off the goose bumps that were gradually making their way of his arms. Quietly, gently, he began to rub the sheathe of Kago, the sweet melody becoming just a bit louder to his ears. "I don't suppose anyone knows just when the others will be on their way, do you? I'm afraid they'll go insane if they're stuck in their sheathe for much longer." He asked calmly, shifting his gaze around the room while he waited for an answer.

"Lerato. Be patient." As his eyes drifted across the table, he carefully locked them in a tango with Ntozake. Nodding so very slightly, he acknowledge his long time friend. She'll understand, if anyone she'll have my back. If not her, then who? Scanning the other two filled seats, Mikhail had seen so many things in the last few years of the Civil War. Not only had new men assumed Captain's positions but they'd also so naively forgotten their positions amoungst the long runners like Mikhail and Ntozake. Lerato speaking out like that, so impatient and the way he addressed Mikhail, so formal and suck-upish. Back in the day, Mikhail would have soaked up the devoteness like a sponge but now, he put up the Iron Curtain (USSR reference, PWNAGE!). The children amoungst the Taichou will find their places soon enough. ((Sorry for the harshness Kyros. Just keep in mind Mikhail is a little stressed.))

Kusari nodded at the squad twelve captain before acknowledging a question he had overheard, but did not bother to look for its source, instead his eyes remained focused on the wall as he said, "Captain Kanashimi was indisposed when I last met with her earlier this morning, and therefor I would venture to guess that she may not be joining us, but the others I cannot speak for." He thought of mentioning his brush with Mizuki Kokoro, but merely said, "And I expect to see captain Kokoro arriving soon enough. He seemed to be searching for something better to do with his time this morning." His voice lacked emotion as all his focus remained on the wall. "Oh," his voice remained distant, "Congratulations Captain Bolshevik. I look forward to serving under your leadership." Pausing for a moment before thinking out loud he added, "And I never imagined myself saying that to a filthy rusky such as yourself. "His words were harsh, but most everyone knew that Kusari freely spoke his mind and never filtered his words. In truth he could appreciate a captain that would throw aside petty wars to help train a man from another squad, and he could appreciate a Russian that actually finished what they started even moreso. "I think I found a way to improve my shunpo thanks to our training." He began to smile, but it quickly faded.
[[Edit: Added some comedy to it, and a little resolve on Kusari's racist opinions of Russians.]]

Shooting an icey cold glance towards Kusari Mikhail nodded. "You are welcome. As well, I am confident that all the Captains shall be joining us. Only once everyone is present will we begin." Crossing his legs in the classic figure 4, Mikhail leaned back in his chair. Placing his elbows on his knees and clasping his hands together, he rested his thumbs under his chin and patiently awaited the others to come. As much as he was itching to begin, Mikhail knew that everyone needed to be here if anything were to be accomplished. As he began to think more indepth, he felt a small amount of laught rise up within him. Filthy rusky eh? Concealing his smile, Mikhail knew that as much as Kusari despised the Russians, he held the up most respect for Mikhail. If only he wouldn't generalize. If only he'd see us Russians as accomplished as Lenin.

Her eyebrows rose a bit as she listened to the others as they spoke to Mikhail. Captain-Commander? Since when was Mikhail in such a rank? Another flash of confusion appeared on her face before she parted her lips ever so slightly, as if she was going to say something on the matter. However, she just let out a sigh. Her hazel eyes slowly made their way over to Mikhail. "Why didn't you tell me?" Ntozake asked. "I mean... everyone else seems to know... How come I wasn't notified... or--- seriously, what is going on?"

"Ntozake. No one was notified." Biting the knuckles of his index finger, Mikhail closed his eyes and sighed lengthly. "The Sereitei needs a leader. Voting for such an individual would have lead to more arguments and fighting. I took it upon myself to assume this role simply becasue I was closest to the former Sou-Taicho. He was like my father." Leaning forward, Mikhail rested his elbows on the table and his head in his hands. "I knew no other solution but to bring you all here and begin talking. I stepped up when few others would. This war needs to end and today, it shall." Biting his lower lip now, Mikhail gently caressed his jaw line. The frustration and anger inside was growing. He was so ready for everything to go back to normal but already he felt like their was opposition.

Kusari continued on in the same tone as his eyes remained fixated on the wall. "It is merely an assumption of the group seeing as Captain Bolshevik has taken the liberty of sitting in the commanders chair rather than his own paired with the fact that we were all called to a meeting. It is likely to assume that the purpose of this meeting is to announce that Captain Mikhail Bolshevik is now Commander Bolshevik. As far as I know nobody has been directly informed, but the captain has not said otherwise." He paused for a moment, "Though if he isn't taking the position it is a very rude prank indeed. The late commander would be shocked enough to see what his absence has wrought, let alone to see a man sitting in his chair pretending to be his replacement." His gave finally broke from the wall, "But I highly doubt that is the case ma'am."
