Mostly posting slightly boring bit of info because I can't tell if I'm more pissed or amused. >3>;
So, Cali is 100 degree weather right now. My mom left me at school waiting for her outside for over an hour. It wasn't the first time she's done it, but I was irritated, 'cuz getting forgotten at school is just... bleh. And gets old. (Especially because my sister says I do it more often, which I don't unless it's talking to teachers and I tell her about it... and her car is air-conditioned, has no bugs crawling in it, and is not made from concrete) So when she pulled up, I asked what happened.
1) She had forgotten my school ended about 1/2 hour earlier than usual. 2) She knew that she'd make me wait for at least 1/2 hour late but said sitting in the car with me for 10 minutes in parking lot traffic is "a waste of time." 3) She justified herself by telling me she had been at my uncle's house picking guavas.
....TL;DR: My mom prefers guavas over me. ; ___________ ; And I'm still wondering why the ******** it's guavas of all fruit. XD

Fellow Californian! : D
California is disgusting today. It is 103 degrees and awful. So I sympathize. I'm sorry, my parents do that all the time too. Minus the guavas part. But since it's nothing some air-conditioning and ice cream can't fix, I suggest 'amused'? XD

at least it was on the way *home* from school.
My mum once forgot I was in the car with her, so instead of driving me to school she headed off for work.
When I piped up and said "why are we going this way?" she suddenly realised I was still there and got quite annoyed that she now had to do a u-turn and go out of her way to actually take me to school.
it's not nice to be forgotten about . . . especially when you're sitting in the same car as the person who's forgotten about you sweatdrop

@ austheke: I'm on a diet... and right when I read that the airconditioning turned off. LMFAO. But yes, at least I have a nice coldish house.
@ Arnoria: Wow, that sucks... How do you forget when you're with the other person? '0'

At the moment it's 11 degrees here!! (about 50 Fahrenheit) and it's been raining allllllllllll day. kind of windy too. we may even get a thunderstorm tonight and tomorrow. Our top temperature (for our region) is only supposed to get 12 degrees over the next 3 days (but I doubt it will even make it to that). Not much you can do in this kind of weather, but we seriously neeeeed this rain!!! melbourne's water storage levels as a whole have just barely crept back up over 30% - we're going to have to be very careful with water over summer. stupid drought, when will you end?

XD I love the fact that there's still a blackened tree right next to the fire station.

I think I was forgotten once, but that was back when I overreacted more than I do now while not being as overly worried about what's going on, so it would've been only once. xp I'm pretty bad when I have an overreaction due to worry about potential traffic accidents, problems at home, etc.
As far as the heat, it's only been in the 90s (Fahrenheit) once the past 2 weeks, which is definitely weird. We never actually have spring and autumn here, but we do this year. O_O;; It's very peculiar. Is this what autumn is supposed to be like? Cooling off but not cold? And this is by the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas! Plus, we usually have a real wildfire season in Nevada, but we haven't really had any major wildfires in this state (not Cali) this year. What the heck?!?!
