Hello, anyone that happens to still be around...? Anyone? sweatdrop
Anyway, there's been two things as of late I've been up to. One is wearing and owning a -real- fox tail here. The second is listening to a hypnosis file for something. Not sure if anyone will appreciate -either- of these... so we'll talk about the fox tail for now.
The tail came under my possession due to a bet. I won some bet, I forgot about what, against my mother about some trivial matter. My prize was something fox related. After a year or so, she paid it back with... well, she was desperate to think of something. She -was- planning to buy a game for me, but it was after I had asked and she said no, and then I went and just got it myself. So... she had these three fox tails she bought -years- ago. She gave me one... I took leather and made it wearable.
Now then... there -is- a few things to consider. 1. I didn't wear it with the intention of looks. However, shortly after realizing it was a bit "small" on me, I did order another fox tail. I'm still waiting on it. 2. A friend pointed out that it was a barbaric thing to do, given my beliefs. I believe I'm a kitsune, which is essentially a fox. Why would I want to wear my own kin? 3. This caused me to realize how I -wasn't- respecting it... when I originally thought I was. I did mourn for the matter.
Ok, there's a -lot- really to look at... actually.
So... it was after these things I noticed something. When I first wore it at my friend's, only one person I know pulled on it. Disrespectful in my opinion... I'll just note him if it happens again. However, it's more I have a friend that -detests- the tail. He was staring at it and I felt as if he pulled it. I wasn't even aware he was staring at it... but I asked if he pulled it, he claimed he was just looking at it. I would probably listen to him more, were it not for the fact that my other friends think this is rather cool, as long as I'm not trying to run in the furry fandom. Even my dad is just more concerned that I don't become a furry than me wearing it. He doesn't really understand but that it's a double standard that chicks can wear a tail... and I'm not a chick. x_x
Mmm... getting side tracked. Anyway, friends want to hang out and say to go ahead and wear the tail while I'm with them.
Coincidence I notice though... as I said Mom gave me the tail. I found that ironic that my mother is the one to give me a tail. It's strange she has three of them, and I additionally have two sisters. Strange that I believe I'm a kitsune (and a dragon) and that she'd gift it to me. Very coincidental and amusing that I earned the tail, and through a bet no less. Even when it wasn't the original prize, but became it.
I find this all odd because a fox is born with a tail (from the mother), that there's two more tails and two people that -could- very well get them... that kitsune are said to earn tails either through experience or reward...
I wouldn't be surprised if that one fox tail I ordered brought a whole different game to the field. I really wouldn't. It'll be interesting if I had odd dreams then. I actually had good dreams when I had this tail the first few nights. Been having mostly memorable dreams.

Sounds like you're having some very interesting experiences that you need to be taking note of. Although I would caution you on looking *too* deeply into them.

Obscurus Sounds like you're having some very interesting experiences that you need to be taking note of. Although I would caution you on looking *too* deeply into them. Trying to take note, also I think that being in the state I'm in, having my own place and such... I'm sure I'll hold my own. I appreciate the warning. 3nodding

Suffer not the furry to live, ect ect
Seriously, though, most are attention whores. I'm sure we all are on some level, but at least be classy about it.
Anyway, depending on your own belief structure, wearing a dead animal can be anything from respect and veneration of it's spirit to a grave dishonoring of the remains. I'm not sure where your own beliefs come from, so it's difficult to say what works for you and your spiritual/ethical system.
Sounds like an interesting chain of events. I would mantain a scientific skepticism, but if it's a mythological thread within your own life, that would be cool.

A furry friend... yes, an internet buddy in the fur fetish mainstream (has his own group) lectured me about it being "dead" and to have it encourages further killing...
I did think quite seriously on it... as far as I could tell though, it's kind of like how Mom -also- gave me a coyote staff years before. That thing made me feel... quite uncomfortable... that's until I tried to... well, "reason" with it. I ultimately said it could... do as it wanted... including leave if that was the case. I felt like the message got through though. I felt very calm and relaxed after some time. Then... I haven't felt much from it since.
Likewise, the furry friend of mine -had- bought a real fox tail... and had nightmares until he actually respected it. He was possibly afraid the same would happen to me... while actually I had quite vivid dreams at times since getting it in comparison to frequency of before.
Not to suggest wearing a dead fur on my butt isn't strange... but... it just feels somewhat like it was meant to be, in an odd way.
