 “Gnawr, gnawr…” Kissy growled as she chewed on the branch sticking out of a hollow log. She was sharpening her teeth to make herself a better huntress. A good huntress has to have sharp teeth, you know.
Weeks had passed since their father went away. Kissy was the first to forget about him. She still did her best to cheer up her mother. The sadness left behind after Vestip ran away bothered Kissy much more than his absence. Even when he was a part of the pride, Kissy rarely saw him and ignored him in general. For her he was no different than any other male. The only thing that set Vestip apart from other males now was that he had broken her mother’s heart.
When she wasn’t comforting her mother, Kissy spent her days exploring the clan, delighting in the sights and sounds of the jungle, chasing dragonflies with enormous determination for a cub so young and lamenting that she could never catch any. Her lamentations were always quickly forgotten. Kissy was a cub on the go. She had no time to feel unhappy.

She flicked her tail, letting the red fluff at the end hit against the earth in slow, luxurious waves. She was bored, and had done nothing all day. Not one to be able to entertain herself, Juno had finally bored of others to make her day go by better.
She was just doomed to be bored she guessed. She lay on her belly, her red tipped legs curled underneath her.
She took a deep breath, blinking her lime green orbs.
It didnt take long for her to grow bored of her laying position, and she jumped to her feet, yawning a bit, her tongue curling out of her maw.
She had never been close to their father, so when he left her and her siblings, she thought nothing of him anymore. She knew he was not someone she needed to speak with, if he could hurt their mother so.
But she couldnt blame him.. The white male in a group of brightly colored lions. She felt the same way.
She was just happy to have momma.

Someone was coming! Kissy sat up straight, ears perked. Suddenly she spotted a group of bright red paws moving through the shadows. “Juno!”
Kissy jumped from her log like a bolt of lightning and threw her front paws around her sister, messing with her mane. She didn’t take stock of her sister’s mood before she pounced. Kissy was not in the habit of asking questions first. Juno was her sister. Surely she’d want to play, too.

Even if she had been in a foul mood, Juno was hardly ever angry with her family. She loved her family, even if it excluded her father.
"Kissyy." She cooed, smiling and reacting to her sisters playful gestures.
She usually was rather logical minded, but she wasnt against playing with her sister.
"Ive been so bored. No one talks to me." She groaned, rolling over on her back and pawing upwards.
She was lying of course, she had made quite a few friends... But she didnt feel the need to inform anyone..They were -her- friends after all. Even if Kisiku had been the lion that Noel had confused Juno for.

Kissy batted at her sister with her trademark over-enthusiastic laugh. “I never have that problem. You know why? Because I always talk first!”
She said it jokingly, but it was true. Kissy was a talker. Out going and loud, in many ways, she was the polar opposite of Mawu. Perhaps she got it from her father.

"Bah, talking is overrated." She teased, and smiled at her sister.
"But, if that works for ya."
She looked around them, and then back at her sister with a chuckle.
"Soo, what're you doing? Im bored.."
She would just initally jump into anything her sister might be doing..She was, after all, so incredibly tired of being bored.

"Practicing sharpening my claws and teeth. See?" She opened her mouth wide, showing her teeth. They didn't look very sharp. Kissy still had most of her milk teeth.
"Mama says shikar-i are huntresses. Cause we have these dark coats, you know? A good huntress always keeps her teeth sharp and her coat clean so she can sneak around in the dark. So that's what I'm doing." She assumed that's what huntresses did. Since she was born into her rank, she ought to know how to act like a real huntress. "You wanna look for something to stalk? That's what I'm doing. Yesterday I caught a lizard."

Well her idea of activities didn't sound amazingly fun to her, but she shrugged and nodded a bit.
"Yeah I guess thats cool. I like to be dirty though." She groaned, and thought of her days of rolling in mud, only to let it cake to her pelt in the days heat.
"Oh you did? I caught a beetle, but a butterfly baaarely escaped my grasp."
She replied, drawing out the word barely, and lifting her paw to show just how much it had escaped her by.

Kissy tilted her head at the red wings on Juno’s back. “Actually, that’s pretty smart! Mud is like camo!
“Wow, a beetle?! Those are lots harder to catch than lizards. Sometimes I think they must have eyes in the back of their head. I wonder what that would be like?” She paused, trying to imagine. “You know we could play hide and seek instead, if you want.”

She smiled, and nodded. She knew that her mother had used the word Camo for Camoflauge.. Which meant that no one could see you since you blended so well into your surroundings. Its how mother was teaching them to hunt.
"Ooh, I guess that is kinda smart." She giggled, and looked into her sisters bright eyes. The same eyes which Juno herself bore within her skull.. lime green and ready for life.
"Eyes on the back of the head? I think that would be scary to see." She nodded honestly.
Hide and seek was a fun game, and she smiled widely.
"Oh really?"
She smiled, nudging her sister. Happy that she had someone to support her.
"Wanna go find momma?"
