Its called Look for me by Moonlight. It like the Twilight series is about a girl who falls for a psycho abusive Vampire...and things go nuts....
The description: They call the big old inn Underhill, and it sits on the coast of Maine--an imposing sight. looming out of the desolate landscape. The locals say the place is haunted, and to sixteen-year-old Cynda, arriving to spend the long winter months with her father and his second wife, the stories just add to her feeling of isolation.
But when the mysterious, darkly handsome Vincent Mortanos arrives to stay at the inn, Cynda is mesmerized, His charm and sensitivity are irresistible; his attentiveness constant Cynda is sure she's in love. Daring to hope that the older stranger shares her feelings, Cynda is innocently blind to who he really is--or to the terrible danger of coming under his spell. . .
The ending may shed some light into the Twitwards world...

Man, I read that book years ago and I still think it's awesome. It really takes a sharp stab at the whole 'stalkers are romantic' idea. Worse yet it shows that a relationship in which the girl is completely obsessive with the boy causes her to destroy her relationship with her friends and family.

I was a library aide and I got to read it before it was shelved and I was shocked with how good it was. It was my first vamp book ^_^

The title and the inn sound like references to the poem The Highwayman.

Lol I have that thing almost memorized and the song on my iPod so that was my first instinct. Really, the way it's described it sounds like a more macabre take on the poem. I'd like to read that sometime.

I love that song! And the poem...although when it was turned into a song it left a lot of things out :/
