I just found out that my "unlimited" word length for my honours creative piece...is actually a paltry limit of 10,000 words. Which means a complete revision of my plans -.- And, combined, my creative iece and exegesis cannot exceed 15,000.
Annnnd, my proposed supervisor works in Geelong, very very long car trip away.
Fail Week this is!

I'll contribute - I've had some epic fails this week too.
The biggest one has to be yesterday's - I had an outline for my first paper in Ancient Cities due yesterday, and so I left home an hour early so I could print in the superlab at my college. I've never had to have my student ID to print, so I wasn't even worried that I've had no idea where my ID could be for the past year or so. Well, over the summer they changed the ID system, and apparently they also changed the way the pay for print system works. So, I couldn't just type in my ID number to print my outline like I've always been able to; the printer needed a swipe of my card.
Fuming, I went down to the card office and got myself a duplicate ID for $20, which I thought was ridiculously overpriced since it only took them about two minutes and maybe twenty keystrokes to print the plastic card. Card finally in hand, I trekked back to the superlab and swiped my card, only to get an 'invalid card' message.
I figured what the card really needed was money, so I then went to the nearby card station so I could put money on that card. I figured that maybe it took a bit for the money on my previous account to transfer over to the new system, so I thought I could just put $1 on it and everything would be fine. However, when I inserted my card into the machine, it read 'No Valid Accounts Found.' I removed it and inserted it again. And again. And again, but the message didn't change. I couldn't put money on it, and it didn't recognize that I already should have had money on it anyway. So, basically, I'd wasted a full hour trying to print my outline, and I wasted $20 of my money to get an ID card that doesn't work for what I need it to do, when I'm only going to be going to school for less than three more months anyway.
I was SO PISSED.

This is the first time I've turned on my computer since my grandparents left on Sunday (and possibly the last until they return on Tuesday, judging by how things are going sweatdrop ). This week has been pretty good for me, happily, though I had a "tent" in the living room made of chair cushions that kept being pushed down by kitties. I kept having to spray them (result - wet spots on the covers). Plus, the past few nights have been colder. My right wrist was a bit sore last night, too, which isn't good. xp
I don't know what to do about a bad week. Sorry you guys are having some Fails. sad

That contagious time of the year. xp And I think I have to turn off the computer now. o_o;; We've started fixing dinner (curry with rice), and I'm in charge of lots of chopping. Then, Mom's going to show me a movie (but I get to show her Head on Friday). Hope to be back, but I don't know. sweatdrop
