Saw it today. GREAT movie.
The violence was in good amount. Plentiful enough for a suspenseful and exciting movie, but limited enough so that the plot wasn't lost in a blood bath.
And I REALLY like the statement it was making. Both politically and emotionally.
What did you guys think of it?

It was by far
THE BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR!!!
It blew me away!
The Special effects were amazing!
The Plot was deep and intricate!
The Characters were so round you could use them in a game of Soccer!
It was by Far one of the best movies ever!

I haven't seen it yet. I want to though! All I've heard about it is praise, so it must be worth seeing.
I haven't seen soooo many good movies; I blow all my money on concert tickets instead >>;

Unless the Ultra conservatives outlaw it for that whole "Alien Sex" Thingy....
Then the push forwards a new form of Prohibiton which outlaws everything fun!
Then they put cameras in everyones room to make sure their not doing anything illegal!
Then they start shooting polar bears because cows cost too much to raise!
Then they ..!!>@!@!?@>!

Its the only name I use.... You could call me Bok, or maybe Ken if you are tired of typing six letters...
Anyways The german guy was pissing me off in the first half... and the second half.... then I really liked him when they raided MNU, then he hit Charlie in the head with that bar....Then he ran away like a p***y.... then he crashed Charlie's ship.... then he got kidnapped by a bunch of canables.... Then he ran away like a p***y... again... Then he started killing the MNU soldier!
The Pig cannon was EPIC that was the coolest thing ever!
When he shot the lighting bolt through that armored van? That was awsome!
Then he sacrificed himself so Charlie and his son could escape.....
Sooooo yeah... I didn't really like him til the end.
But when I did like him it was because he was epically 1337!!!
*manly tears* His sacrifice was so great.... TT.TT crying

It's not just ads for the PS3 that are rattling the cage of the Nigerian Government, as now they are attacking sci-fi movie District 9, which it alleges shows Nigerians in a bad light.
"We feel very bad about this because the film clearly denigrated Nigeria's image by portraying us as if we are cannibals, [or as if] we are criminals," said Nigerian Information Minister Dora Akunyili, "The name our former president was clearly spelt out as the head of the criminal gang and our ladies shown like prostitutes sleeping with extra-terrestrial beings."
The Nigerian Government is so incensed by the portrayal of Nigerians in District 9 that it has ordered its national film ratings board to ask all cinemas to stop showing the film and has demanded that Sony, who produced the movie, edit it to remove "all offending portions that injured our image as a nation".
Ms Akunyili said that the Nigerian Govenrment is demanding a full and unconditional aplogy from Sony for what she described as an "unwarranted attack on Nigeria's image." This fresh attack on Sony is part of a campaign by Nigeria to rebrand the country after letting the international community define the country's image by the behavior of a handful of criminals for far too long
But whilst not wanting to be known as a nation on con-artists and criminals is understandable, is being known instead as the country that complains all the time is perhaps that much of a step up?

One movie I DID see recently though, was Jennifer's Body. Worst. Movie. EVER. xDD
But, it was amusingly awful. It was so bad my friends and I were laughing hysterically the whole time. The plot was fast and jumpy and made little sense and I don't even know wtf the dialogue was, hahaha.
Still worth seeing though, for a nice laugh. x3

The Best Comedy of all times was "Yes Man"
God I laughed so hard during that movie they actually had to preform CPR on me because I stopped breathing...

Finally saw District 9 today! It was reaaaally good. Not what I was expecting at all. Much better. And the statements they made were really powerful and well done.
