-Intro-

It's been over 10 years since Mal was defeated and peace was restored to the small planet. Now a dark shadow of the past has returned to haunt the now re-built town of Salim and whispers of evil forces at work in the world travel from ear to ear. Now the peace Strider, Elistral, Jake, Demios, Verin, and Rore had sweat and bled for is now in peril and Strider may be forced out of his retirement to face this new evil and protect the planet he holds so dear.

-Story-

"Please, I have a family! A wife, and two children!" The man pleaded, eyes wide in fright. He was a thin human man, a merchant by looks and trade. And now, here on the well-trodden road, was begging for his life. The second man had a faint, amused smile as he stared down at him, and a wet thudding noise sounded behind the two. He let the merchant grovel for a few seconds more, then wave a hand dismissively. The merchant scrambled up gratefully, and ran off as the man turned his back on him. He'd gotten a few good feet away before the man spun around, a pistol in one hand, and fired three times. One hit the base of his spine, the next between his shoulder blades, and the last through his head. The corpse fell face down in a heap. The man turned his attention back to the cart the merchant had been taking from one town to another. The two sturdy horses were already dead, and a person in black armor was moving one of the bodies aside with a large axe-like weapon. He glanced up as the other began to reload the pistol, eyes looking through the visor of his helmet. "Why?" He asked simply, in a hollow sounding voice, and the first man shrugged. "No hope for the hopeless, ya see. Can't help what must be done. He would'ntve lasted long anyway." His strange accent drifted over the distance and he went over to root through the bags in the cart. "Aha!" He exclaimed, as he opened one of the bags. The sun glinted off the black powder, something that was quickly becoming popular on this world. "Come look at this." He gestured and the armored man came to look. "Isn't it beautiful?" The other man peered over the cart, then sneezed explosively as the wind brought the acrid smell to his nose. " 'Hey, hey! This stuff is dangerous! Gotta be careful with it." He closed the bag and looked out across the plains, dark thunderclouds could be seen in the distance. "Careful, 'least 'til the right time comes along." He raised a hand and squeezed it into a fist. "This place won't last for long, 'twil all be only dust eventually. It shall be my great apocalypse." He heard a sharp inhale of breath and turned to look at the man who did most of the brunt work of these small, unnoticeable attacks. "Well, maybe not all dust. This place could be good for somethin'. Mainly entertainment on my part." He nodded to himself. "Alright, saddle up, we're movin' on back to base." The armored man nodded silently and strapped his halberd on his back, taking off his helmet long enough to wipe his forehead before putting it back on. He grabbed the beam that the horses would be attached to and began to pull, the heavy wooden cart creaking as it rolled up and out of the ruts the wheels had made. The other man kept staring out at the landscape before catching up to the speeding up cart, using one hand to hop over the side and fall heavily on the sacks and bags. Walking the whole way back would be a hassle, and besides, when there was the option of laziness, he'd take it. "Giddeyup, lil' horsey." He hummed, lying back and crossing his legs, head cradled in his arms behind his head. He watched the slowly darkening sky as the cart rolled along, being pulled by the armored man. "Time's gonna catch up with ya, Strider. An' I'll be there with it..." He muttered to himself before dozing off. The sound of his gun going off from before had traveled many miles, to ears in separate places. One person dismissed it, another paused in what they were doing, and someone else sat up straight, head tilted curiously at the loud sound. Thunder went off faintly in the distance, the storm gradually making its way along the sky...

History/Life: Years ago, Elistral traveled the land, helping travelers or others. She came to the town of Salim over 10 years ago when she heard of it being plagued by some evil force. She soon knew them as the Ravagers, and she formed a group called the Protectors to keep the townsfolk safe. As leader, she and the group kept the town relatively safe until a man known as Strider appeared, and soon another named Mal instructed it to be attacked. Salim was destroyed, and Strider was killed, then she found out she was a demigod. After many events, the world was turned into a barren wasteland by Mal, and Strider reappeared later, alive. She fought with Crow, then Mal, accepting her heritage when Mal told her the truth of her mother's death. Strider soon defeated Mal, then killing himself so he could be in peace, and the world then gained back what had perished, friends and foes alike, and terrain. She thought Strider had died, but he came back with her mother, now mortal, soon leaving into a retirement. She oversaw Salim's rebuilding, traveling to other towns as a bard to make sure all was well, and to Mal's old palace, now Jake's library. History/Life: Fenrir's past isn't very notable. He popped up from time to time 10 years ago after Salim was destroyed, offering advice or hints to both Jake and Mal. He follows Fate's orders, but after the world was refreshed, he was granted some freedom by Strider. He went off to where he always goes in his free time, to have as long a vacation he is allowed. He won't appear much unless needed to, or if someone asks for his assistance/company. Or when he feels like it.

Age: 34
Gender: Boy
Race: Human
Bio: Kind and caring. Often quiet when not talking. He's insightful and has a strong sense of honor.
History/Life: Rore used to be a knight, along with his best friend Gorash. He met his wife, Ellen, while in service of a kind king. Soon, he was disgusted at what his king was demanding of the knights and soldiers. He fled with Ellen to Salim, leaving his best friend behind with good reasons. He soon had a daughter, Maria. 10 years ago, he feared he'd lost his family, but they were fine when the world came back. He now lives in Salim, concerned about how his best friend is faring in the kingdom he left, as he's heard nothing from him for over 15 years.
Accessories: An emblem of the kingdom he used to serve, a bronze plated dandelion on a chain.
Weapon(s): A large sword, the pommel a bright red ruby. Also a short dagger.
Appearance: Rore

User: Ty Gwynnia
Name: Crow (Daniel Barthel)
Side: Evil
Age: 43, but is still young due to his demon heritage
Gender: Boy
Race: Demon, with a human appearance
Bio: Calm demeanor but underneath has an arrogant and cocky side. Although he also has a strong sense of loyalty, it can falter when he’s confronted with solid facts or betrayal.
History/Life: Although he was a priest, he couldn’t help but think that it was wrong that he was a demon, one denying his heritage, and taking the path of a holy man. He immediately cast off his way of life, and joined the Ravagers, calling himself Crow. With his powers, the birds that he took his name from became loyal to him, and he rose to second-in-command of the Ravagers, taking orders directly under Mal. He was commanded to destroy Salim 10 years ago, and did so happily. When he was betrayed by Mal, he decided to go off on his own when the world was right again. He's rebuilt the Ravagers, who are loyal to him. He's lately heard of evil rumors, and plans to join up with the one who started them.
Accessories: A silver cross that he never did throw away when he rejected his priesthood.
Weapon(s): Control of crows, and a thin rapier that he can make materialize out of air.
Appearance: Crow

User: Ty Gwynnia
Name: Gorash Uefire
Side: Neutral
Age: 32 or 33
Gender: Boy
Race: Human/"Black Knight", but the makeup of his body has been twisted so much he doesn't see himself as a human anymore, but a monster
Bio: Lighthearted and caring, always cracking jokes. But for the past 13 years, he's been more somber and tries to keep to himself. He has an alter ego he's ashamed of. The alter ego is merciless and cruel, almost bloodthirsty, and evil to the core that it has created in Gorash's being.
History/Life: Gorash was a knight with his best friend, Rore. When Rore left his knighthood for a better life, Gorash stayed behind to cover for him. The king had been becoming something he hadn't shown before. He eventually went through the ranks for an evaluation, taking random soldiers here and there for questioning. This questioning was really something for him to create his knights to be, a force that would be unstoppable while giving the ruse to everyone that they were noble. Gorash was the lucky one he decided to make his greatest champion, his "black knight". He had sorcery and evil magic twist Gorash to be inhumanly strong, tougher to kill or be hurt, and quicker than he'd ever been. His actions caused Gorash to develop an alter ego, something he wished he'd never be as a knight. His alter ego shows no mercy where Gorash would, and laughs cruelly at anyone who thinks they can best him. The corrupt king sent Gorash to join the evil force that threatens the peaceful world, much to the young man's dismay and unfortunate enthusiasm.
Accessories: An emblem of the king he serves, a silver plated dandelion on a chain.
Weapon(s): A halberd with a laughing skull for the top of the metal pole holding the massive blades in place. If needed, he can also use a great sword and/or shield.
Appearance: Gorash

-LET IT BEGIN-

Strider walked into his home and took his coat off and put it on a chair. "I;m home!"

"Welcome home! How's Jake?" Silvia was washing some plates in the kitchen when Strider came in. "Someone came by today. He was looking for you but I told him you were gone. So he left you a note."

Strider went over to a table and picked up the envelope and opened it. It appeared like an ordinary folded piece of paper until he unfolded it. On the inside there were only three words on it. They were written in blood: 'I found you.' Strider didn't need any initials or names to know who it was. Strider slowly put down the envelope but kept looking at it.

Silvia had walked to the door frame and wiped her hands on the apron she was wearing. "What's wrong?" Silvia seemed to know something was wrong with Strider.

Strider blinked and looked at Silvia with a thoughtful look. "They found us."

It was a nice day, besides the approaching storm. The townsfolk weren't really bothered by it either. The rebuilt Salim had many differences to the old one, some that included the more spacious town square and the sturdier buildings. The fountain that stood in the center was the same though, Elistral thought as she looked upside down at it. A couple benches had been arranged on the four sides, backs facing the statue in the middle. That had been remade also.

"I wonder how that merchant's faring." Rore remarked, taking a drink of a glass filled with lemonade. "You didn't go along like you usually do. That was an hour ago." He was sitting next to her on the bench, watching the daily activity of everyone.

Elistral raised her head up, glancing at him sideways. "It's not much of a journey to the next town, he should be on his way back anyway." She fiddled with one of her rings, thinking. "I visited Verin the other day, he's doing well."

Rore smiled, then scratched the stubble on his chin. "He moved to another town, didn't he?" He continued when Elistral nodded. "After everything was finished too, I think." He paused, a worried look coming over him. "I haven't heard word of him."

Elistral knew he wasn't talking about the young man they'd known as an angsty teenager now. She put a reassuring hand on the troubled man's shoulder. "I'm sure that he's fine. Maybe the letter got lost, or blew away."

Rore bit his lip. "It's been so long since I've seen him, too. Not since I left him back there. Like a coward." He took a deep breath.

Elistral patted his shoulder before standing up. "Has Maria been finding anymore of the books?" She asked, changing from the uneasy subject. The little girl, now a young woman, had made it her job to find all them under the cobblestones of the road after Elistral had shown her.

Rore drank the rest of the lemonade and grinned at the thought of his daughter. She was serious about it, even recruiting the town's children to help her. "Yeah, a couple. I swear, she wants to be an archeologist when she graduates from the school."

Gorash stared silently at the letter in one of his hands for a long time. He'd gotten it from the small boy who'd been sent from the king he served, acting as a messenger. Along with a personal letter from the king himself. He felt his hand start to shake and crumpled it into a small ball, dropping his head into both of his hands. He missed his best friend so much, ever since he'd helped him and his wife flee from the kingdom. And now he had a daughter. He wanted to go visit all of them in the town that was described for the hundredth time, it seemed like such a nice place. But how could he go now? He was already on a tight lease, and if he wasn't, he probably wouldn't go anyway. He wasn't himself anymore, he'd been telling himself that for years. Like the voice in his mind had been telling him constantly. Even now, it was whispering to him evilly. Shut up!, he growled and beat his fists against his head angrily, producing a deep chuckle from the other him. No, he couldn't go and see his best friend as much as he wanted to. He wasn't the same man as he was before.

Fenrir was sleeping nicely, lost in peaceful dreams. His yellow eyes opened groggily, and he let out a loud groan. He shoved his head underneath the pillow and pulled the warm sheets over it. He didn't want to get up yet, that was the last thing on his mind. But his gut had the same feeling it did when he was called away from the place he loved. "Just a little bit longer..." He mumbled, eyes drifting shut again. "Please, a year longer..."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 20, 2010 7:44 pm

"What's the matter Gorash? Missing the older days?" Reaper had walked in when he was punching himself. He was leaning on the door frame his two pistols easily visible. They gave off a strange dark sheen that made it llok like they were staring at you. "Well anyway come on. Bout time we set my plans in motion. Gotta round up everyone." Reaper stopped leaning and began walking down a corridor in his underground cave hideout. "Come on!" He called back to Gorash.

"What does that mean?" Silvia had a worried look on her face. "You have to go away again don't you?" She gave Strider a saddened look.

"Unfortunatly yes. I have to stop him before he is allowed to do any damage." Strider had turned to grab his coat when Silvia had grabbed his shoulder.

"No not this time. Your not leaving me. This time i'm coming with you." Silvia's had a determined look now.

"Out of the question. What if something happened?" Strider wasn't about to let her go with him. He had lost her once. He didn't want to lose her again.

"You keep saying that but what better way to keep me safe then for me to be by your side?" Silvia gave Strider a look that said she was going wether he liked it or not.

Strider was about to argue some more but he knew it would be pointless so he just sighed. "Be ready in five minutes. We take only ourselves and what were wearing."

Silvia smiled and kissed Strider. "Thank you." Silvia then ran into their bedroom and opened a trunk tucked away in a small closet that held her travel attire. She quickly bgan to undress and put it on.

Strider shook his head and smiled getting his coat on. He was about to reach into the pocket where he had kept his shades but forgot he didn't have them. It'd been so long since he had gone on an adventure he hadn't noticed they were with Jake.

"Okay. I'm ready." Silvia stepped out in a black shirt with a red leather body armor over top, leather gloves, black pants, black leather boots, and a green cloth cloak. She also had on the emrald ring Strider had given her on her ring finger. "One more thing before we go though." She goes over to a corner and reaches behind a chari that was placed there and pulls out a sheathed sword. She unsheathed it. It looked much like their daughters except these runes were white. She re-sheathed it and tassled it to he belt. "Ok so where are we off to?"

"Well first we'll have to go by Jake's library to get my old staff and my shades." Strider took Silvia around the shoulder. "Hold on." Strider and Silvia began to radiate with light then the both vanished.

Demios flew down to Salim. Spotting Elistral and Rore he quickly flew down and tucked away his wings. "Hello old friends. I'm here on immediate buisness. A few of my men heard some shots ring through the plains. When they went to check they found a dead merchant and some black powder. I came to inquire if either of you may know who he was."
