here is an Idea I am working on. Its not complete yet but I am putting up the description up right now just see how you guys like em so far ^_^ Also be free to add stuff you are working on.
Reaper Elf
Reaper elves are the decendants of a branch of elves who lost the ability to use magic on their own. Instead of relearning how to use magic, their ancestors became hunters trained to sense and collect magic contained in the life forces of their targets. They would slay creatures that had lots of magical power, their favorite target where demons and devils who possed some of the highest magic imaginable. But there was a side effect to using the dark magics contained within the demons... The more power you used the more the elves changed. Now the Decendants of those demon hunters arouse as a new sub species of elves, Reaper Elves with skin blacker than the Drow and with horns and red marks that look like tatoos but are actually skin patterns. The eldest of the elves growing wings and tails.
+2 Dexterity, +2 Constitution.
Medium size.
An elf ’s base land speed is 30 feet. Immunity to sleep spells and effects, and a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells or effects. (Not reflected in the saving throw modifiers given here.)
Low-light vision. Detect Magic at will
Absorb magic And Magic dependence:A Reaper Elf needs magic to sustain its high maintainance body and will need to absorb magic from other beings every 1d4 days. When an enemy is dropped to -10 HP they may absorb any magical residue left by the spirit.
spells cast by a reaper elf is treated as 2 levels higher as a result from the demonic power flowing through them.
Prefered at will Spell: at first level a Reaper elf may select one lv 0-1 spell to use at will
Automatic Languages: Common, Elven. Bonus Languages: Draconic, Gnoll, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, Sylvan, Abyssal, Infernal.
+3 LA

i like it, it's pretty freaking sweet for an idea. i was thinking of Arctic Elves myself, which alongside Drow would be descendants of Night Elves.

A friend of mine and I seriously considered converting Magic the Gathering races into D&D playable races at one point. Those races included: Merfolk, Flamekin, Nacatl, Treefolk, Centaur, Faerie, Imp, Moonfolk, Vedalken, and Vaishino. If anybody else would be interested in converting these races I'd like to see what you come up with. I think it would be interesting to do a D&D campaign in a Dominaria setting. Maybe that's just me though....

Human, Elf, and Dwarf would of course still be around, and we'd have to add quirkier Goblins as well. Then we would need to add: Orochi, Kitsune, and Nezumi from the Kamigawa block. And we would also have to add Rhox, Loxodon, and Aven as well. So the total list so far is: Merfolk Flamekin Nacatl Treefolk Centaur Faerie Imp Moonfolk Vedalken Vaishino Human Elf Dwarf Goblin Orochi Kitsune Nezumi Rhox Loxodon Aven
